  • some days i miss that place. as crazy as it sounds. bragg is nuts. but garrison units in no name units are lame as hell.

  • They must have jumped pretty high, usually a static line jump is around 1200 ft more or less. XVIII Airborne Corps ROCKS!! The best damn Soldiers in the US Army. I have to admit, Ft. Drum is the "armpit" of the Army. Its so fucking cold up there, but thats where we belong. Up high, in the mountains. During Clinton, 10th Mountain was neglected. We had lost our capabilties as a "mountain force" due to budget cuts and stupidity. Iam very proud of 10th Mntn, I will never forget Shah-i-Kot valley.NO

  • "I get paid for this. It's pretty awesome." Best line in the video.

  • holy hell you are high. What was the altitude on that?

  • How are you able to have a camera up there?

  • Lucky dude, all my jumps at Bragg have been 800 feet with t-10s. No time to do that stuff lol. Always wanted to though.

  • nice LUZON lol that was my last jump!

  • @spartan117gw I damn near broke my leg on Luzon.

  • thinking about it, they should have training in certain situations, like landing in water (safety divers in the water however) and parachuting into trees

  • That is Luzon DZ on Camp Mackall. Been there many times. It is to the west of Fort Bragg and about a 45 minute drive.

  • I wish we had video cameras like today back in 88-91. The best I have are still photos. E Co, 407 S&T Bn, 82nd Abn Div. All The Way!!

What is the chute nomenclature? Looks like a slow falling chute.

  • AHhhhhhh....Good 'ol Sicily Drop Zone. Memories !!

  • Whats so great about the new T11's?

  • Yep that small DZ next to Camp Mackall is a mother! I jumped into that entering the Q-course. They said it would be at 800 feet. We were jumping 90 pounds of equipment...how do I know...it had to be weighed! Turns out we were dropped at about 600 feet. I checked my canopy, then looked down and saw the ground coming up quick and released my equipment. The lowering line did'nt even fully deploy. And I landed in an area that had been cleared...looking like punji sticks. Then the 20 miles!

  • epic.

  • Imagine your a German soldier landing at Crete in WW2. Remember, thousand of greeks are in the ground.

Like 10k Germans died in the invasion of Crete. That shows how important it is to do airborne operations at night.

  • this made me laugh

  • Haha

  • my respect to all of you guys for keeping the freedom to our people protected god bless yall

  • lol

  • "i am currently airborne..." i would be scared shitless if i was that hig in the air hanging from a string...

  • @creil8 I'm deathly afraid of heights, but it seriously isn't that bad. You're not even that high compared to a lot of other airborne operations that take place in the military, you never really get the "falling" sensation, and the entire jump only lasts a few minutes from takeoff to landing. I thought I was gonna have a heart attack, but I loved every minute of it. Now skydiving or bungee jumping....that's a different story lol.

  • My daughter is in the 82nd Airborne! I am so Proud of her, she just joined the Military a year ago she is now 31. That's my Baby girl~Raqui, I'm so nervous though, Proud but nervous, HOOAH!!! to the 82nd Airborne!

  • nice video

  • Damn T-11's look sexy.

  • ''I'ma put my camera away now.'' *Grabs mini shoot and opens it* *Attaches to camera and drops camera*

  • T-11s? Lucky bastard. Is this at Benning?

  • It was rather quiet up there, almost no wind sound? Awesome video, thumbed up.
