  • Duh! Tards who ask about the markings - it's to be more obvious, make a sense of presence, day to day, the more cops you see, the less likely you'll commit a crime. Don't blame the cops for crashes - blame the fuckwit that changed the law in 1998 to say cops had to back off at high speeds; first thing we saw was - go faster, get away. When you see a newspaper article saying police/chase/crash don't blame the pigs; blame the asshole who can't drive, and the dickhead who gave them the idea

  • Lucky to catch one not doing a U-turn in front of a motorcycle.

  • My experience with the nz cops is this: Some are just normal, some have been very nice, fair, & even very lenient, while others have been utter cock-heads, who id like to meet alone in a dark alley one night armed with an automatic riffle so I can finish them.

With some; you could treat with all the respect in the world.... or just treat normally, but if you're young or if you look like you fit a certain stereotype, be careful because they might throw the book in your face.

  • you're all fags so shut up

  • Woohoo! police

  • that was sustained

  • good driving lol...

  • look out desert road..im coming

  • Why are US cop cars made to be frightening and intimidating, where others are very ostentatious and prominent? In my town the sheriffs are Black and Gold and the cops are gunmetal gray and dark blue. And of course they're all decked out with ram bars, low profile lights, black rims and plate scanners

  • @legalyzefreed0m I have to agree, some do look very agressive... I think it could reflect on the crime and maybe the need to be authoritive

  • @legalyzefreed0m Not like im a fan of the police or anything, but there are good reasons for why the police cars are clearly marked... Who knows, maybe the nz police where having a brainstorming session while watching American police chase video`s one night, and someone asked the question: "How can we prevent idiots from smashing into OUR vehicles while we're parked on the side of the road?"... I guess the OBVIOUS solution was to just make the cars more visible.

  • @legalyzefreed0m To be honest, the US police are a little more mature than their counterparts in New Zealand. The cops go into high speed chases here terrorising young people who are inexperienced drivers. Did you know that 25% of New Zealand cases where the police chase motorists involve serious car crashes? i have lived in both th US and NZ. The police are much more brutal in NZ. There is no sense of humour at all. The NZ cops treat everything like a war zone or a video game.

  • @SugarTomAppleRoger - I'd like to say I agree with you, but I have never seen a NZ Police officer take his gun out everything he pulls someone over, I have watch a lot of US Police programs / News, and there are a hell of alot of Police chases that end lives in the US.

What part of New Zeland were you living in to be treated like that, there is usually a reason a Police officer hard on someone.

  • @freshvisionmedia OK. I will give you an example. My daughter was with on an internment program in New York. The group were out for a night. Most of them originated were from Scotland. One of the young men was drunk and was banging on a lady's private apartment door at about 1 oclock in th morning. The cops came, and my daughter asked where they were taking him. They said "to the hospital - so they wouldn't have to book him". ... continued

  • @freshvisionmedia ... the lady in the apartment said it was the most exciting thing that had happened to her - just like TV! The guy asked if my daughter would visit him in hospital. She said "no way" as she was disgusted that he had frightened this poor woman.

You see what I mean. People are light hearted and more reasonable in the USA. Can you imagine what would have happened in NZ? The guy would certainly have been arrested, as he would in Scotland. The cops are just harsher here.

  • @freshvisionmedia I live in Auckland. I was just walking home earlier today. A police car was speeding down the road in a built up area. He must have been doing at least 160kph. If anyone was crossing the road, they would have instantly died. The cops don't care. They have targets to meet, quotas and forms to be completed, and rapid promotions for the most ruthless and callous. Pedestrians are treated like vermin. That's the way it is here.

  • @SugarTomAppleRoger Eat a dick, you don't know shit. Stop exxagerating and telling your crap stories. You should be respecting the Police, be they in NZ or the USA, for the incredible work they do. Obviously you were given a speeding ticket or similar by the Police and aren't mature enough to deal with it, instead you try and spread hate about those who most certainly don't deserve it.

  • @SugarTomAppleRoger The only "brutal" part of police chases in nz is when the losers kill themselves.

  • @essimage - Well as long as they only kill themselves, its one less idoit on the road.

  • @SugarTomAppleRoger yea its prety brutal... have you seen there new comadore station wagons with the f**k off huge bull bars big rims and aireals everywhere. i was like holy s**t nobodys gona pull over for that. scary stuff...

  • @SugarTomAppleRoger I totally dis agree you, about what you describe about NZ police, its not only because i live in Nz, but i have never face, any officer like how you have describe. Even if you are at some serious case, they greet you well, on other way, i think US cops, try to show some power, dont judge my words, its just what i think cheers

  • @SugarTomAppleRoger i strongly differ, while i have not been to the united states i can say that the new zealand police i have come across have been very understanding and use their initiative and common ssense really well, and on the complete flipside, are no where near as brutal as a lot of other police, for instance even the australian police use a lot more force than the NZ cops. and there is DEFINATELY a lot more sense of humour over here.

  • @SugarTomAppleRoger I've never come across any cops like that here. And I've met quite a few in my short 18 years, my mum even works with the police and all the ones I've met are very nice. Some are serious, sometimes overly serious, but most I have met are nice and joke around all the time. And even though I have only seen american cops on tv I have to say they look 10 times more crazy and trigger happy than any others I have met.

  • @SugarTomAppleRoger LOL, the cops in NZ are nice as. All you have to do is be respectful. I don't know anyone who's had trouble with the NZ cops being unfair, and even when I hear someone complain about them, it's usually because our police are actually doing there job.

NZ has the best rating on the corruption index, and that is reflected by our cops. I'm 20 years old and I always feel safe when cops are around.

Just sounds like you've gotta bone to pick mate.

  • Desert Road, desolate, long and straight road, whats the problem. Pathetic pigs just out to get more money in for the government and trying to look you in the eye and whine about safety. NZ cops as a criminal organization to themselves

  • I just hope that cop hasn't done anyone for loss of traction! hypocrite

  • DARIFFTAAAAAA

  • na man they dnt like u taking pic of it i got a fine for taking one

  • What did they fine you under...? Unless you were driving and taking a Pic...? Its a little strange... I have had the odd pushy cop not liking a camera around (but hey they are in the public eye and also a Public untility funded by us the Tax payer)

  • na that get real shi*y if you take pics of them, seams strange i no but i tried to at a petrol station and the cop was having non of it!

  • we have a skyline as a cop car

  • Really...? Do you have any pic's of it..?

  • @kk88989999, is that in plamy i know of one there

  • The thing I don't understand is why all you people who claim to hate the NZ Police insist on watching all the videos of them on youtube.

  • @Spiderellie i like watching them fail it only reinforces my disrespect for those useless pigs that are wasting my money ,

  • @Spiderellie i don't hate them i used to but it's all apart of growing up

  • probably chasing someone doing 10kmph over the limit- wanks

  • LOL

  • Sustained loss of traction = loss of license.

  • yeah and this fuckhead managed to get away with it on camera, and in the tax payers police vehicle.

He aught to be ashamed of himself

  • Go look up the word 'sustained'.

Anyway, hopefully this cop was off to pursue a boyracer who just did a burnout and gets his car crushed. I'm sick of going into town friday night in my run around car & having these scum yelling stuff because they think what they are driving is actually half decent.

Tell me, if your car is your life, how come like 70% of boyracers go for cut springs instead of proper suspension? I guess that whole dropped out at 15, paid minimum wage thing doesn't help?

  • you obvesly pulld the 70% figure outa your shitty ass and they probably have more money than you.

  • obviously it was a estimated amount, but still a decent percentage have cut springs.

Oh really? Look at my profile and take a look at my occupation. Reckon a high-school drop-out makes more than a pilot? Get off the herbals...

  • @iwg0gr1m its is rather pathetic i think theres a bit of a cool element to it because its dangerous and illegal... fail, it gives real drivers a bad name and the cops come down hard on the rest of us. Im a teenager btw and often acused of being a "boy racer"... "boy" implies imaturity and irresponsability, these are the people i cant stand. i wish they wuold piss off so real drivers who look after there cars and are condiderate of other drivers can do there thing and be left alone.

  • @iwg0gr1m Hahaha how terribly misinformed you are. According the the Land Transport Amendment Act, ANY loss of traction can be classed as sustained. It's used in the same context as "Joe Bloggs SUSTAINED an injury". What we see above should see the police officer lose his licence for 6 months and the vehicle impounded regardless of who owns it. That's the law. And where'd you pull 70% from by the way? Coro St? You have no idea who's driving those cars or what their background is. ignorant fool.

  • It was gravel, and on a slope at that. Big fucking deal you cry baby!!! Also, it was obvious he/she was off to attend his/her job

  • I hope you relise that losing traction wastes time.

It is clear that the police officer did this out of pure entertainment.

  • cambered roadside + gravel surface + acceleration = loss of traction. He was turning around and was obviously in a hurry, you make it sound like he is a faggot boy racer pointlessly doing burnouts and street racing.

Lets not blow this out of proportion.

  • Yeah well he should be a boy racer due to his amazing drift skills.

He could have executed the whole manouver with much more technique

  • *safety

  • yep all you boy racers have nice fast cars driver fast talk your cars up at the end of the day you loss your license and get lots of fines and we drive past yous

  • Yeah well most boy racers other than me dont know how to scope out police during/before racing, or generally doing dangerous shit on the roads. I have never been caught and believe me, i do a lot of dangerous shit.

  • Hello Jomahubo, just a quick check to see if you're still alive? Hopefully you won't reply. :)

  • Whats wrong with it. There are some people who are interested. Just cos your not...

  • Fair call, due to New Music laws I have to remove it soon.

  • *license

  • Arrest him , impound his car , give him a fine , and loss of license for 6 months for sustained loss of traction , FTP

  • and dont forget to put his balls in a sandwitch toaster

  • I'm not sure who forced you to watch it, Be strong and make your own dicisions... Take control of your life "Jomahubo", then take reponsibitlty for your actions ... NO ONE FORCED YOU TO WATCH IT.... !!!!!

  • Due to Section 92A of the Copyright (New Technologies) Amendment Act, these video clips will be removed on Jan 30th 2009.

They may be put back up without music at a later date.

  • That law was thrown out.

  • its new zealand fool on the desert road

  • Not desputing where it is Bro!

  • Holden is US owened, a US engine, gearbox and diff. German shape pinched from Opel. German suspension design pinched from BMW. Just assembled here.

  • hey ya Aus2045, Not sure if Anerican's have much to do with Holden Design (But valid comment)

  • Go on then. Go and impound it.... the only pounding youll get will be from the cop you try and take it off.

  • I totally agree... impound for 28 days if I remeber right. :-)

  • And yes its a loss of traction but not sustained.

  • TheCommanderNZ - Thanks so much for your very informed and valued coment. We are now all so enriched.

  • And the point of this video is what?

A cop car turns around to go after a speeder, so what. We have all seen that.

    1 Star

  • Desert rd-hmm...is that the road that is closed half the time in winter? is it down south?
