25 years ago i lived in Ambon for three years. The Christians and Muslims were not overly friendly towards each other, except at the villages near UnPatti, where people were more educated. My friends from Rhumatiga wrote and told me that the Muslims attacked their village without warning & burned down UnPatti. They said there was violence on both sides, though. Also, the Christians in Ambon love God and never seemed 'forced' to be Christians.
