Any time you disassemble valve sets, you want to do the seals to; cheap insurance & easy to do with the valves out.
The theory on valve springs is the stiffer they are the faster the valves close which allows gasses to build faster. Dual springs are recommended for a stage 2 setup, however, my only complaint is that the sound of the valves closing makes my engine now sound more like a VW than a Subie. If this turns you off you can still keep the OEM springs.
Question for you.. I have a 2000 RS. Same engine as you. I have delta 2000's with a Crawford srs-30 re-flash ecu 6900rpm. What valve springs would you recommend? Should I replace the valves and springs, seals as well? 120k miles on the heads.
Sounds like a great setup!
