@GalaxyEdgeStudios its the AI which makes it bad. I dont wanna play online because of the amount of campers and cheaters. Also the campaign was too short and the game modes were too repetative.

Why did people buy games for the Megadrive or Snes etc, it for sure wasn't the graphics it was the fun in the games. I look for the fun and replay value in games not the graphics, I pick music and sound effects before the graphics , as long as it looks ok and plays like a dream then that is all you need, and who cares about bugs and glitches, every game has them....
@ZroDfects I think the biggest problem of today's console games is the graphics. If the graphics could be something like in 2002, games could have a lot more vehicles, better AI, more action without that much of choppy framerate. If I would need to choose a game with good graphics, and framerate of 25 or a same game with moderate graphics and framerate of 40, I would choose the one with worse graphics.
Whenever I put this in my xbox, it said something about an update. I did it without thinking and now whenever I try to play the game it freezes on the menu screen everytime. It always tries to say "connecting to xbox live" and then it freezes. This is the second disk I have tried and I don't know what to do.
@boon222222 I had the same problem. What you have to do is download the Army of Two demo off of the Games Marketplace and set up an EA account from that. You don't have to play it. After you've finished go back on Mercenaries 2 and hope it is fixed. If not, try again. If it still doesn't work... well, I dunno. Good luck!
@zjd92 true that, i still play games on my super nintendo, now every time i try to play my 360 i get bored too easily and gravitate towards the older consoles.
i actually don't think JC2 is better, I like the co-op and being able to call airstrikes and all kinds of vehicles in Mercs 2, i also think the gunplay is better and the hijacking animations.
The voice acting in JC2 was pretty cheesey and it wasn't more serious, like a lot of people think (you play the last mission?)
However, the JC2 map was massive and diverse, the graphics were pretty damn impressive and there was violence, if only there was more destruction. i also like the video-capture.
damn 500 character limit... ALSO i kind of liked the grappling hook and parachute in JC2, AND the ability to fly planes... but i also like to blow shit up and nuke things in Mercs... the humour is great and shooting down a chopper is just sooooo satisfying, i'd give JC2 a 7/10 and Mercs 2 a 7.5/10... good thing i have both games lol.
i wish there were tactics. i always loved games that made it much easier if you can fined away to overcome by getting some sort of tactical advantage an im not taking about just taking cover.

In the original mercenaries for xbox there are soooo many glitches. I once was riding in a cargo truck that was completely invisible except for the wheels and the seat. And so many things float in midair. Such a great game though
I just realized, games can't be rated. People have their own likes and dislikes, and so you may think 6/10, but others might think 10/10, or 1/10. It's all opinion in my perspective.

I guess some of the bugs are like fallout 3`s. Fallout`s enemys have one of 6 voices and also repeat the same lines. And their A.I`s werid like that, to. They`re still borh awsome, though.

I own this game on ps2 but now I have a 360 so I'm wondering if it's different for the 360. It just looks like an unfinished just cause 2 to me, rite! I freaking love the music to this game. It fits the thing ur doing perfectly. Like when ur driving into the sunset going 150 mph on a speed boat.
