The Aviation industry needs to put BOTH The BOEING 737 and The MD 80. 81,82,83,88,90 etc TO REST already!!!! HOW many times can you keep SSSTTTRRREEETTTCCCHHHING out the fuselage of the SAME TIRED OLD aircraft from 30-40 years ago?? Spend the time and techology developing high tech 21ST CENTURY aircraft instead!

The MD90 is the handsomest of the midsized narrow bodies. Beats the 737-800 and esp the A320 by a mile.

A great and efficient plane.. Truly would have been good competition against the A320 and 737NG had MD decided to put their face into the project more.. Took 5 years to add new engines and a new digital cockpit, they could have redesigned the wing.. Created a family.. MD-90-90! Instead all they gave us was a -95 and -90.

@scaremenga No doubt. I love these jets but McD cheaped out and just kept stretching and shrinking a 30 yr old design..I know they were broke anyways but if they could've shifted some military focus/finance into commercial transport and taken some calculated risks they might still be around.
