@yeti123321 No. Indie originally just meant bands on an indie label. Now it's changed to be another word for brit-pop (Blur, Oasis, Verve etc). The Cure are not part of this genre, they're post-punk and virtually created goth rock. 'Goth' isn't a genre (though goths are stereotypically labelled as mostly listening to black metal/death metal). Also 'indie' is a very lifeless genre and The Cure are anything but lifeless.
