Hey mike, another great video! Im a shooter too and as ammo is getting way too expensive I was thinking of getting into reloading myself. I heard you say dillon 550? As you get more proficient, can you put out more videos before I get started! Thanks and keep up the great work (FUN)! Peace !
Yep its a 550 and I love it but sadly I kind of put the reloading videos on hold for right now due to how hard it is to find some components at this time.
I mean I would hate to get someone to go out and buy all the stuff needed to reload and then not be able to load any rounds cause they simply can't find any primers or what not. ( I been waiting 3+ months now for my primer order )
but thanks for the support man and when things get better I'll put more reloading vids out.
Hey Brother, Take the gloves off, do ruger six on that **** who hacked you. I like what you're doin man. Review on a 686? I loved rugers on the python!! Cheers ,
a squib load and or a double charge are the 2 things that are going to really get you hurt if your not paying attention. I trust my handloads more than factory ammo. I have had a squib load from factory ammo and I have had a miss fire ( failure to fire after multipule primmer strikes ) with factory ammo. When you reload you know what youve got. Your reloads will only be as good as you make them.
I was never going to ever reload, but then I bought a rifle that just would not shoot any factory ammo, so I started just to make some accurate rounds for that one rifle.
I guess I got in at the right time, before all the ammo prices went crazy.
Reloading is great, takes a lot of time, but it is great!
From other videos I've watched you can reload for $0.04 to $0.07 a shot for the required powder, primer, and bullet. If you factor in the equipment costs over a long period of time, it's around $0.09 to $0.15 a round. Your best bet to lower costs is spread the word amongst your friends, and take orders around $0.34 a round for 223. And yes I know people that spend that much for reloads. You then use the difference to finance your shooting :)
This year for my main competition load I will be running a 9mm 147g FMJ over 3.2g of Titegroup & Federal primer. This is a very lite shooting load , yet still makes PF ( Power Factor ) for IDPA.
The availability of reloading components in my area just plain sucks...no Primers ANYWHERE! No powder either, heh no bullets or brass for that matter. The shelves are empty...online isnt much better...thx to our new administration.
I agree. Vids are very professional both in terms of content and also video production. The sponsorship idea is great, and maybe us subscribers could pitch in somehow. Any ideas?
Believe it or not we're already pitching in. We are watching his vids. The more views he has the more attractive he is to sponsors. The best thing you can do is recommend his vids on your vids. If you make vids.
I reload shotgun shells, but want to get into pistol reloading. I shoot .38 spl, .357 magnum, .40 s&w, and possibly .357 sig if I get a new barrel for my sig. What do I need to buy to start out, and about how much am I looking at spending?
Way to go Mike, another KITB2K classic,,,been waiting for this since your video last X-Mas telling us you were getting into re-loading..Nice set up you have there...Keep the great Vids coming
Thats man! That was so clear and concise. Your video is like going to a friends house and learning with a buddy. Just what I needed to bring some clarity before I buy a bunch of equipment. Eager to watch the next segment. Thanks!
do you find that your reloads are dirty? I got a few 100 the last gun show and they fire very inconsistant and are really dirty. Is that down to poor quality powder?
Never shoot 'Gun show' reloads, even i've come across lots of reference to bad, bad accidents with buggered up gun show reloads. It's not that hard, and cheaper than buying, to reload, so do it your self.
hey, if you ever have a chance....could we see you re-load shotgun shells. i have more fun with my 1300w. i would like to re-load in the near future and i'll be making a video on my 1300w.....i think your tube-jam comes from the extra shells in your extended tube. i prefer to keep mine on the hunting side of things and NEVER had a tube jam happen. thanks!
Great video. My Dad taught me to reload when I was a kid. He still has most of the equipment and he told me he's just about ready to pack it all up and give it to me.
I have just recently gotten interested in reloading and know nothing about it. Thanks for posting.
p.s. you mentioned this can save you money by reloading at home, can you give an example of what a box of 50 9mm comes out to plz? I would appreciate it.
Well it mostly is about the price of components and the most pricey component is the bullet , now for me I can load a 124g FMJ round thats shoots cleaner , less recoil & overall a better round then say WWB ammo ( Winchester White Box ) for about half the price. So a 100 box of WWB right now is about $21 after tax and I can load better ammo for around $11 per 100. Now if I shoot a round nose lead bullet then it could be some where around 5-6 bucks per 100. ( AKA you can safe big money )
This is awesome kickedintheballs! I've wanted to get into reloading but haven't found any good tutorials for newbs. I especially like the customizable aspect of it, as I love shooting subsonic rounds, and would be able to make my own rounds to suit my tastes. Are you going to cover some of the different fast/slow powder types later in the series?
thanks brother-been curious bout reloading-me boss is interested-i am the one who does the researching round here-you know how it is-bein out on the trail an all-peace
I can tell you did your research and got a Dillion. I have had one for years and the no BS warrenty is real..I have several setups for mine and did a bad setup ,which broke a part..I told them so and they still sent it to me free
WOW.....excellent video everything very well explained.. Thank you. I learned something. Thank you, again

So can you give us an idea of how much it costs to reload?
I guess if your spending the kind of money your talking about it must be much cheaper than just buying bulk ammo
Right now we are looking at what....$400-$500 bucks for standard .223
And maybe $200-$300 for 1000 target grade 9mm
So how much could we save if we reloading these rounds?
btw...Love your Videos man thanks

do you find that your reloads are dirty? I got a few 100 the last gun show and they fire very inconsistant and are really dirty. Is that down to poor quality powder?
GT03235 3 years ago
It was most likely the powder that was used in the reloads , some powders burn cleaner & some burning pretty dirty.
My titegroup loads burn cleaner that most factory loads.
kickedintheballs2000 3 years ago

Sorry man but to reload shotgun shells you need other reloader.
Loading shotgun shells is a little different then loading normal pistol & rifle ammo and you need a shot shell press to do it.
