How do you figure Machida won the first 3 rounds?? Did you even score the rounds? If you do, then you will see that Shogun wins the first 3 rounds by sheer points. Machida wins round 4. Round 5 was close. Shogun actually won, but judges probably scored for Machida. In total points, Shogun crushed Machida. I suggest re-watching the match, and actually scoring it correctly.

I like Machida but he doesn't throw a quarter of the strikes that are in karate. I know Cung Le is San Sho and just lost a match but he utilizes alot of strikes like a side kick, back kick, cresent kicks est. He makes alot of guys look like caveman because of it. Sho Gun did the same Mua Tai kick over and over again and Machida never adjusted. A good hard knee stepping to an angle to the quad to a mui tai fighter takes them out of their game or a jab at a 45% angle. Just a Thought!!!!

I think the fight was too close to call.... could have easily gone either way. The rematch SAturday well, there is no doubt who won. Shogun showed his superiority anyone saying otherwise is clearly in denial. I am still a Lyoto fan as well as Shogun Fights like this are what movies are made of.

How do you figure Machida won the first 3 rounds?? Did you even score the rounds? If you do, then you will see that Shogun wins the first 3 rounds by sheer points. Machida wins round 4. Round 5 was close. Shogun actually won, but judges probably scored for Machida. In total points, Shogun crushed Machida. I suggest re-watching the match, and actually scoring it correctly.

I like Machida but he doesn't throw a quarter of the strikes that are in karate. I know Cung Le is San Sho and just lost a match but he utilizes alot of strikes like a side kick, back kick, cresent kicks est. He makes alot of guys look like caveman because of it. Sho Gun did the same Mua Tai kick over and over again and Machida never adjusted. A good hard knee stepping to an angle to the quad to a mui tai fighter takes them out of their game or a jab at a 45% angle. Just a Thought!!!!
