  • The rich get richer and the poor get poorer. That's just life in this world. We had crazy prosperity just after WWII up until the 80s. The middle class was strong and you just had to go to a factory and make tons of money and have two cars and a great house and be able to afford everything you wanted on one income. Since this all ended in the 80s we will just continue to see two classes, the very rich and very poor. The rich set laws and policy and find ways to make more money.

  • I'm surprised you can read so well, after smoking so much weed.

  • Unemployment is the essential reserve of the army of labor to keep the price of the wage slavery down as to maximise Profit for the criminal ruling/owning class. Capitalism is the wage slavery of immense humanity in a Politically manipulated, tyrannical Market System of artificial scarcity and manipulation to perpetuate the conditions of wage-slavery in the interest of few elite. Capitalism is the organised, legalised robbery of the working class. Capitalism is crime against humanity

  • 7 months later and its playing out as you spoke it!

Dont you feel sick now Jack! Being right aint all its cracked up to be.

    Keep posting!

    LadyShy

  • I am thankful to have seen this video. Great one! thank you and keep up the good work!

  • to call the recession technically over is to say you can devalue your currency and then claim it as growth. by a gold standard or an inflation standard the recession is technically not over.

also any reference to "unemployment rate" is worthless without comment on "fulltime employment rate" which is clearly more important of a number.

the numbers have to add up to 100%

  • How long is "some time" and what do they men by "weak economy"?

The Crimes: Looting, Treason, Murder, Sedition, insider trading, etc.

The Criminals: Dick Cheney, karl Rove, Donald Rumsfeld, Ben Bernanke, Henry Paulson , Phil Gramm, Alan Greenspan et al...

What is the penalty for Treason "IN A TIME OF WAR"?

WHERE ARE THE INVESTIGATIONS? will they try to put kissenger in charge again?

How Ignorant and feckless are the American people? will we let these crimes stand?

  • Good job!

Many should be sitting in prison, because many have made a bundle off robbing the country blind.

I'm tired of hearing how Americans went on a wild spending spree, took out bad loans .... Because many did not! Yet the whole country has to pay for this farce of corruption. Don't forget, we can't pay unemployment forever. Shameful, that we will be known as the most selfish generation for squandering the future of our children & grandchildren.

  • Most of the people I know in the States DID go on spending sprees and were very careless, but I do know some who were more careful and are still okay. I do think the bailouts were wrong, and extending unemployment benefits is also wrong. I've seen many recessions before -- this was clearly coming -- and best to let things fall apart. I remember back in the 1980s, there were TV commercials about how the kids would inherit nothing but a mess . . . Best to you.

  • You're right, many were very careless. Most of the people I know have problems because they lost their jobs. Maybe I don't quite remember the 70's or 80's but I know the length of this recession, the deep foreclosure & homeless families is something I don't remember.

  • Thanks for your reply, and it's good to see I didn't get lots of thumbs-down! Not only have a lot of us heard stories of the Great Depression, the photos and other records are always there to remind us. Living paycheck to paycheck is just dumb, I am sorry. And remember the tulip craze! Since I was 20, I've kept six months' worth of supplies and valuables to live off, minimum. I've lost jobs due to illness and crime -- I know it's tough!

  • It's good to know Ben Shalom Bernake is a Dual Citizen of Isreal, and annually votes there too. Kind of wonder where someones loyalty lies :)

  • Greetings from France.

  • A "recovery" in which unemployment goes up is not a recovery by any sane definition.

  • We need democracy in this country now. We need media, campaign finance and electoral reform. Else we continue with policies that feed the greed of corporations which prevent us from adopting to a world that is rapidly changing.

  • we need to enforce the constituion and democracy....

  • screw democracy! That can stay in Europe! This is a Republic!

  • Yo, Jack, when are you gonna post part two? I hope you will soon.

  • I will probably be posting part two this week. Got a lot of new economic data to go over too.

  • Yeah, you should try it sometimes. Might wake you up.

  • Comment removed

  • When I post my economic updates, I make an outline of important topics that I want to cover on paper. I write them myself - that way I don't forget something and I am able to cover all of the micro-economic mechanisms that are involved. I then make a video and go from subject to subject so that I am able to deliver the best economic information to the viewer. What's so wrong with that? Many people do that in the professional business world. I lost you.

  • Yea all of the above is great for doing a video. The problem is when i watch the news it doesnt look like i'm being read to, its more like a 1 sided conversation and I cant see the persons eyes move left and right constantly as if ...they're reading to me.

  • Perhaps thats because they have a thousand dollar teleprompter that they're reading from. Anyway, I am sorry you do not like it. After all, it is the information I am getting out, not my delivery, that is important.

  • Hold on blue... can u send jack a 100k dollar teleprompter. Or can you just enjoy the content?

  • @Blueace12345 If you base your intake of knowledge by the way its present then maybe you should watch Barny? Hes relaying a lot of FUN TIMES and BRIGHT COLORS for people that have problems paying attention for more than 15 seconds...

  • The technical definition of a recession is based on GDP not unemployment. Employment could be horrible but if GDP is growing there's no 'technical' recession

  • This video is not about discussing the 'technical' definition of what a recession is. A positive Q for GDP doesn't mean recovery. This video is outlining why the economy won't recover. This crisis isn't over because we WILL see major plunges in GDP; these underlying causes haven't been adressed. Also, in a consumer-based economy, GDP is more directly linked to employment. The more people lose their jobs, the less they consume, thus affecting GDP. As long as this happens, recovery is a dream.

  • You got to ask yourself who is are the fed??? I think if they did'nt do what they

do we would be in a world of hurt.

The problem with it is the rest of the world

is catching on real fast now and they will

set up their own flawed systems. Communism sad to say probably the only

    system that truly works.

  • I like how you really went into detail about why Ben Bernanke is a freakin' liar and why the economy won't recover. Really great video. 5 stars. Hope you make a lot mroe of these.

  • all the money printing is pumping up GDP temporarily. you know the shit is going to hit the fan as soon as the stimulus runs out. you know this. the fundamentals do not point to any recovery. aside from some major technological breakthrough, we are fucked. without real growth, the ponzi pyramid cannot stand. the existing debts cannot be resolved in a deflationary environment, without resorting to more money printing, which would kill the dollar.

  • You're right. The government can't spend/print their way to prosperity. All this stimulus will only prolong this depression, like it did with the depression of the 1930's.The party is ending.

  • Wall Street is making billions borrowing money from the Fed at 0.25% and investing it in the stock market. Meanwhile, the rest of us are getting poorer every day. How will there be an economic recovery if the average American has no extra money to spend beyond basics like taxes, housing & food? doeenhdidn't see this coming

  • You're right. There is no such thing as a jobless economic recovery in economics and as long as we see rising unemployment, the U.S. economy will not recover. This is why it is essential to become independent of the system and learn to grow your own food, store your own food, buy silver/gold, find a good water source, and do other basics that humans require in order to survive any kind of major economic collapse.

  • YOUR RIGHT ON! You dont have to be an economist or a genius to add 2 and 2. WAKE UP AMERICA!

  • Right on. Thanks for watching.

  • Omg....so have more mortgage defaults comin' in 2010 too??? WTF? I thought Bernanke said the economy was out of a basically recession! What a fuckin liar. He needs 2 be in jail!!!

  • I agree. He should be in jail.

  • your right dude, they print money, give away money, things don't add up. We probably are deep in a depression.

You need jobs to recover. Your right

the worst is yet to come. The big problem

is china is going to call and we won't have

the money. The media never talks about

what is really going on. Owned by the rich for the rich.

  • Could it be that the vaunted American Standard of Living we got used to after WW II was a temporary Cold War Prop created to present a false front of just society under Capitalism to the rest of the World? Cold War's over folks. Get ready America, pure Capitalism and a revolution of lowered expectations has you now.

  • What we have right now is not pure capitalism. In fact, we have not had true capitalism since the establishment of the Federal Reserve system in 1913. When big financial institutions make bad choices, they pay for it. The goverment doesn't bail them out. Thats capitalism. The free market, not the Federal Reserve bank, decides interest rates. Thats true free-market capitalism. True Capitalism has been dead in America for a long time now.

  • Its funny. I have a degree in Business Administration...none of the economics/finance professors (who were all self proclaimed economic gurus) are even aware of this...its an absolute joke.

  • Yeah, it's pretty sad. Most of these so-called keynesian economists are dead wrong because they're compartmentalized. These professors were indoctrinated into the same dogmatic system that the kids are being indoctrinated into.

  • I've been thinking about the velocity of all this inflation that's being created and I would like to discuss it with a person who posted something on this video that looked something like this:

    "short precious metals

    short yada yada

    short blakity blank

    ....long dollar"

Where'd that comment go? it's gotta be around here somewhere.

  • I don't know where that guys comment went. That's weird. I wanted to ask him why he thought that too. I hope Youtube isn't censoring again. Apparently, there have been videos on Youtube that have had like half their comments get deleted. maybe it's a bug or some nerd doing it. Who knows....

  • Nevermind, nothing is wrong. Must be a glitch then. If you view "all comments", you'll see the guys comment.

  • Ah, now it's back.

I can see why he might think that (given the job loss) but I don't think he's got a grip. Maybe he can explain.

  • Excellent video Jack! Could you do a video in the future about what you are doing personally to prepare? Thank you.

  • Yeah, I plan on doing a detailed video on gold and silver, and preparing by stocking up on food and finding a natural water source in the very near future. Cheers.

  • Good video ol Jack!

  • Thanks, man.

  • There is no economic crisis!!! When will you people see that? (Hey, if the President can lie then why can't I?) Before I get a bunch of hate mail, I was being sarcastic. (No lies this time). Good work as always Jack!

  • But Ben Bernanke cares about us!!!!

    Lol, thanks for watching.

  • Surprised to see you put out a new vid. But Glad you are back. I hope to see more in the future.

  • Yeah, it's been a busy year for me, but I will be making some regular economic updates now that I have more time on my hands. Thanks.

  • It is good to see you posting thanks for the analysis. Bummer though.

  • Yes, it's sad. Thanks for watching.

  • Good to see ya back Jack.

  • Thanks, Hopfefl1. Loving your videos. Keep them coming.

  • Short- Major Market Indexes

    Short- Precious Metals

    Short- Real Estate

    Short- Financials

    Short- Oil

    Long- US Dollar

  • Wow good luck on that one! lol!

  • Why on earth would you long US Dollar?!!! Even when countries are talking about dumping it and all this inflation is coming??!!!!

  • There will never be decent jobs in America as long as globalists are in power. We could fix all our problems simply by following the that "quaint" document known as the Constitution.

  • I couldn't agree more. Thanks.

  • This is probably your best video, Jack. I learned a lot. Thanks. Can't wait for pt 2.

  • Good to know that I could help in that area. Thanks!
