You're amazing!! Although, I think you need to stop worrying about pronunciation in the words. Most people have trouble with pronunciation, I know I do... especially with R's, D's, and S's... Those are tricky ones to slur... :)
@pixar87 Yeah, thanks for the advice. So far, I think Sara Bareilles' songs have the best range and feel for me, even better, they're all catchy :) But I'll keep what you said in mind and try to sound more like myself. And good luck with your lessons!
@pixar87 I have a little lower voice when I talk than when I sing, and I've always thought, with the exception of a few people whose natural talking voice is kind of low but who can hit amazingly high notes, normally people emit same range of voice when they're talking or singing. Many people said of course people can learn, but I've come to believe they were just saying that at some point. So.... lol confuuuuuuuused.
@pixar87 I would like to take some lessons too, to learn how to control breathing(I have very short breaths and not very excellent lung capacity...) and to see if I can "learn" to hit high notes. But then it's too expensive around here and I've got other things to take care of first, so I'm just putting it off for the time being. :) I also wondered if it's possible to "learn" to produce high notes, when you're not naturally given the gift.
@pixar87 Being a singer not by trade but by avocation, I don't have a naturally well-scuplted, wonderfully high-pitched and powerful voice to make songs sound as good as I would like. All I have is the "feeling" that goes along with every song I sing, though that doesn't guarantee that other people feel the songs I sing the way I feel them. Haha.
But thanks for writing to let me know what you think. I'm glad my video was viewed in Italy!
@LaviensKim im a singer by avocation too i stopped singing years ago but im planning to start again this this time with some lessons but there is one thing i found out because i used that way to go around some high notes too.. is that im not singing with my voice, means that im actually trying to match not only the range but the voice too thats what prevents me to get to higher notes because sometimes i reach them easy and sometimes for the same range i used to feel like choking.. :-P
@LaviensKim im not an expert as i told you i learned all by myself but i think you should give it a try..if you do you may not sound like her but i think it will be easyer for your to reach a higer vocal range :) good luck with this because is not easy to sing with your own voice i was too used to sing like other singers i took me a while..
@pixar87 "The voice within" by Christina Aguilera is one of those songs that frustrate me greatly and make me miserable often, because every time I try, and how many times I try, I just can't get there with my voice. Truth hurts, huh. :) Acknowledging my limits was not easy, but I tried to find other ways to get around as best as I can. That's what resulted in what you saw at 2:20. :)
@pixar87 Hi. Thanks for bothering to make a comment.
When I said the song wasn't too challenging for me, I was tacitly comparing the song with ridiculously high-pitched songs that only a few female singers can pull off successfully. By what I wrote in the description, I meant to say "OVERALL, the song's range was still okay for me. I had "fun" singing it, rather than struggling with it." and that's not to say every single note in the song was reachable. I'm sorry if it disturbed you.
excuse me not TOO challenging? at 2.20 you didnt reach her vocal range..you did a tecnic i dont know whats the word of it in english im italian..anyway with that u can get a similar range but still its way easier to do than the real range it sounds similar but have less power..dont get me wrong you sound good but i dont think the video description is appropriate :)
