Like some of the previous post mentioned....it doesn't matter if you gave the likes of Morse, Lukather Gilbert etc a Banjo with a string action height of 2 inches they'd still sound great!....think he is using a wah pedal to thicken the sound out a bit which helps too!....He is bloomin great player and would appear not to take himself too seriously either...which is a bonus!

Just goes to show how tone and sound is almost 99% the player rather then the guitar. Paul could shred a $100.00 started guitar and amp, and you would still know it's him.

hmmmm the bridge and neck pu's are raised and the middle pu is dropped....i think i remember reading somewhere that doing that gives the 2 and 4 position more of a humbucker sound... guess gilberto likes the fatter tone!

@DrCrok A lot of people lower the middle pickup so that it doesn't interfere with their picking.

i cant play strats, i started out on an ibanez RG series and now i just cant play a strat to save my life they just feel so...... wrong...... and yes i know that this is an ibanez strat in the video

@jessbpowers I started out with strats, and I'm more comfortably playing those. I guess when you start with one instrument it just feels more like home. Though I DO get a kick out of playing the RG. Which is nothing more than a modern strat anyway. Own one too. Killer guitar. What I don't like are V's. They just dont sit right.
