@TheGnomeLocker I trust Macs a lot; I got one for Christmas. The older operating systems tend to have some, er, stability issues. But my new one is really good, fast, and fun to use, ever since the Mac App Store which released yesterday. :D

I probably shouldn't say this but...I've had the same Windows latptop for almost 2 years and I've never had a single crash, I promise with full truth. I thought it crashed once but it was an overheat shutdown...scared the crap out of me; I was gaming and didn't realize it couldnt breathe. I really don't know why people knock Windows and Windows machines...take care of them (change the oil) and they work just fine. Replaced power cable and DC-Jack in 1 year, nothing more has been done.
They do crash. I grew up with them. And my cousin Just got one. And it crashes like, weekly. I'm on windows XP, Hm, It crashes every 8 months or MORE! Sware to god.
@Whitegamer009 well mine hasn't crashed since that one occurrence, which apparently was 3 months ago by the looks of my comment. Well, the kind of computer to get really depends on what you need to do with it... but if you're just using it for normal stuff, and want to use it for a number of years, mac's a pretty good choice. Personally I also put windows onto my mac so that if I need it, I can use it too.
@Whitegamer009, if you want one because they don't crash and are supposedly some symbol of perfection, then don't bother... I've had my i7 based windows 7 system for about a year and have never seen the whole thing crash. And rarely I've seen badly written apps crash, but that's no different on osx when I've seen safari and mac chess and others crash. But the real truth is that nothing is perfect. At the level of reliability I've seen on windows 7 I prefer it however.
@scrap1005 I wanted to get one mostly because of the level of quality that I have seen with the ipod! I have bought the ipod classic and currently own the ipod touch and I love that product and thats why I was thinking maybe the Mac would be better because it is from the same company that makes the iPod. That and I have seen videos of how fast they are and the stuff you can do on them but I do think they are overpriced for what you get. I am looking at getting an i5 PC currently an ASUS!
@ceegers installed something wrong. i found the most trouble i've had is with leopard. tiger ran fine for years, still does, and snow leopard runs like a gem. there was something wrong with leopard that always made it more prone to crash.
The last kernel panic I had was when i was logging on to my computer and it just panicked. I restarted the computer and i login just fine and the error report open i sent it to apple. To make sure it was not a glitch i restarted my computer 3 times and nothing happen, it was like it fixed it self. The first kernel panic i had it was fixed by apple's updates to Safari. Every blue screen i got in windows required something big like reinstalling the os or replacing video card.
wow your a suck up if you saw the worlds funniest thing and he said "i didnt think it was funny youd be like YEAH YOUR PROBABLY RIGHT DO YOU LIKE ME YET? XD
This usually happens either a) when a piece of hardware is dying, or b) when you've improperly installed a piece of hardware or the newly installed hardware isn't compatibly with OS X (very rare for HDs/SSDs). Anyone recall what the actually cause was for Chris?
I think that Mac ads telling about bluescreen of Windows are VERY fake. Mac crash in more ways than windows :/

the only time windows has crashed on me was a hardware problem-bad ram module- and when I was overclocking, which is how you tell you oced too much

Every kernel panic i had (2) they for some reason fixed them selves, it really confusing when your computer fixes it self.

Eh wasnt funny to me. If I dont laugh at it, or crack a smile then not worth recording.

Good point, the chroma key problem was just a rare occasion, it wasn't that funny.
