Of course it is possible that these images are pixel distortions of some kind.
The reason I think it is more is because with pixel distortions the image would change if viewing from different angles and heights. These images retain their integrity from every perspective.

these are definitly not random pixel errors. this is hard infrastructure with buildings aligned to the poles of the planet!

I think they incorporate a random matrix in the pixels to make shure we cant see anything interresting.
In other words: same patterns everywhere.
This most be a white spot due to assembly error, making the "pattern" obvious.
But, maybe not (the whole point) !
