  • Ironic that all of these sounds are samples and not real-time synths like on the C64. ProTracker never had support for real-time synth, as far as I remember.

  • Kick ass tune, i've had this as ringtone for good few years now...

  • Manfred Linzner (a.k.a. Pink) is a genius

  • Link. Here. Now.

  • nice

  • esta buenisima

  • really good.

  • awesome

    5/5

  • This sounds just like some old school Sega master system game. 1 word, AWESOME!

  • PS, when does tracker 3-d come out. or Small-box?any-one know?

  • Can you make a quantum sub-space(theoretical of course)run. or plasma analysis. great tune, good video.

  • wow...does anyone, ANYONE have the full version of this either uploaded here or in mp3 form? this song is amazing...

  • I can render the module as MP3 if you are interested.

  • yes, yes I would be interested..because there's a full version of the remix, but the remix...sucks. the version played in this video as an mp3 would be hotness

  • Well, i will render it as MP3, but how do i send it to you ?

Do you mean my remix ?

  • oh, your remix?

I thought it was the exact version heard in this vid, only longer?

  • Nobody writes music like that anymore.

  • @FatherWarhol exept me (that is if you mean using a tracker).

  • @FatherWarhol Oh rly ?!

  • there is newer version of that, like fasttracker, madtracker osv =) i LOVE THAT AMIGA SOUND!!!!

  • I´m doing a remix of that tune right now.. i could upload a "pre alpha" version if anyone is interested.

  • Ho my god!! W00T!!!! =D

    I love it!

  • abyss was cracking on C64, too. :P or it might be other Abyss...

  • I think Pyrodex was the crack-scene version of Abyss. Abyss was a straight demoscene group IIRC.

They made some GBA games and a music replayer for GBA system I think.

  • test

  • Yeah, this tune is very cool, but my best is one of Crystal tune. I don't remember the name, but it was on the begining of superfrog

  • TDK - The Dark Knight made some of the best intro tunes for Crystals cracks.

  • I thank you sir :) Amazing what you find with google searches sometimes.

    Mark.

  • I just emailed a friend to tell him about the nerdiest guy on the whole Internet, who filmed playing a tune in PT.

Then I registered just so I could comment: This is Pink, right? I have it as "Giana cracktro", and the sample comments say "ripped from a Giana Sisters intro by Pyrodex". But otherwise (in covers, etc), it's always "abyss cracktro". Oh well, life's little mysteries.

Thanks for inducing my next chiptune session on the Amiga, by the way. It's been too long.

  • Yes, it's Pink! :) Pink - Classic Tunes.

Nerdiest guy on the internet?! :O I do have a life, I promise! I just have a huge liking for classic trackers and computer music. :)

  • Pink is yummy.

I enjoyed watching, which probably says something about my own nerdiness (that was my point), so no offense taken, I hope.

I actually experienced some withdrawal when getting used to listening to music without seeing patterns scrolling by. :-)

  • @d0pefish Aye just to confirm/validate this is called Classic Tunes by Pink when he was with $ceptic and Abyss in 1994. You can find it in the amazingly awesome mod pack he released here aminet.net/mods/chip/ays-p100.lha just copypasta that line into your favourite browser. Or just search for ays-p100 on aminet DOT net. 100 of his tunes. Play with Hippoplayer on Amiga. Or XMPlay on PC with max Pan separation under MOD settings for accurate sound reproduction.

  • @magetoo Yep, Pyrodex has joined Abyss (Pink was a member of Pyrodex)

  • gee this song is familiar...

  • Ahhh... the memories.
