i wash my hair everyday and i have real long hair. and its fine. everyone always asks me what i do to my hair coz its always so shiny and clean and healthy looking. i just tell them...that unlike them, i wash my hair daily. theres nothing wrong with it. Shampoos and conditioners these days are designed so that they are gentle enough to use everyday!!!

i went to fantastic sam's about a year ago and asked for layers. she took a razor (that's used for thinning out hair) and made the layers. and that was it, i was sooo pissed off because got extremely bad split ends from it.
hey i go to cosmotology school..its soooo fun ..i love it . its way different than the real world of salons and spas ..there is soo much more to it ..than using shears and cutting ....ne ways hairstylists rule !! without them u wouldnt look as good as u do

I change my hair every year, and I pay $60.00 to get it cut with a Master specialist, and let me tell you, it's worth every single penny because every time I leave that salon, I'm loving my hair cut, and look fabulous. I used to cut my hair at cheaper salons like Master Cuts, and had to wear a baseball cap when leaving, and then had to style it at home, not to mention that I wasn't happy so, I'm not going back to that again.High end salons are the way to go!!
i agree, supercuts first choice places like thaat aren't too good but im just saying alot of teens like me watch your videos and not all of our parents will allow us to get $40 haircuts.

turning your chair around is not a bad sign, sometimes we have to turn the chair around to get a differnt angle. and you are soo right about the dramtic change. i tell that to my clients all the time lol. a client should tell you at all times whats going on with your hair. we want you to be invlved defintly, but at the same time we want you to let us do our job lol. i had a lady curse me out once becasue i wouldnt lighten her already way too damaged hair.
i told her we should rebuild her hair get some treatments first so that we can get it back healthy before we shock it with more chemicals lol. so you as a client do not always know what is best for your hair lol. we dont do all that studying for noting lol.

i am a professional hair stylist fist of all im not impressed .... someone might mistake you for an actual licensed hair stylist and take your dim witted advice and really screw up their hair in which you could actually face a legal problm.
p.s. Some people actually work hard and go to school to become a LICENSED cosmetologist ...

When i got my hair cut. I have..well had long hair lol my hair was half way down my back and i Told them to cut it ABIT past my shoulders And do you know when they wet ur hair b4 they cut it. Weeeeeeel they didnt. My hair was getting cut while it was dry and my hair is just above my coler bone...I Freakin Cried!!! i have extentions now to cover her fuck up!..but i didnt know what to say because she was my boy friends and my boy friends brother and there friends friend

Oh my gosh I remember sometimes when I get a hair cut the person would turn my chair around and I always wonder why did they do that. I wanna ask them, but I just don't want to sound stupid I thought maybe that's just how they do it. Well thanks for the advice! Next time they turn my chair around I'll walk out that salon for sure.
I recently got highlights and I am very unhappy with the result. My hair has blotches of orange where it should be blond. They obviously did not distribute the toner evenly everywhere. I was wondering if you know what is the best way to fix this problem myself? I am going for the light blond highlight look.
I don't do hair professionally, but i can tell you that it takes a few times before you get blonde results. especially if you have dyed your hair in the past. You can buy conair or loreal (forgot the brand)from sally's its purple shampoo, let it sit in your hair for 3-5 min (dry hair) and rinse out :) that will help it.
I am a hairdresser and I've been teaching people your "scalp" shampoo forever! When I tell my clients about that I call it a "quick poo" or "quick shampoo" thanks for sharing with everyone else!

hey pursebuzzz. alot of good hairdressers turn their chairs around while theyr workin on your cut an colour for drama. becuase u should see the looks on their faces when they see their new and improved selves. i got a bad cut recently, the first in a long long time(had to go get it corrected at my reugular joint) it was actualy the first time i rememebr ever facing the mirror when she was cutting it. soo its not always a bad thing when they turn you :)

There's nothing better than finding a good stylist. It makes life so much easier. I went to stylists who didn't pay attention to my hair and talked to the other stylists in the room. My hair never ended up the way I asked. I stopped settling for bad haircuts, spent a little more and went to classy place. They actually ask tons of questions about your hair, and all that good stuff the entire time, unlike the $10-20 haircuts.

Hi Pursebuzz! Your hair looks amazing! I would like to recommend that if you wash your hair, you can first put conditioner in your hair from your ears down and then wash your scalp. That way your ends will be protected and nurtured at the same time.
I heard too to not use wash in conditioner so much? Is that if your hair is too oily or something?
Oh and when I left my ex bf i cut my hair..ahaha but i actually liked it more. I just keep it to my shoulders now..with kids and work i really dont got time lol

I am a professional cosmetologist *sent you some info on brushes once upon a time* and cannot thank you for this wonderful video since there are so many DIY vids out there - Hair I feel is something you cannot DIY and shouldn't have to - its a small luxury and when done right makes you feel amazing!
I recommend a Natural Boar Bristle Round Brush for your hair texture. Natural Bristles give finer hair more volume and shine whether creating straight styles or beveled ends. Marilyn is a brand of brushes that are a staple in styling and have been in hairdressers toolboxes for years! Spornette and Cricket styling brushes are two other brands I have used with fantastic results! Typically, the longer the hair the bigger the barrel. I would opt for a paddle brush for your cute new bangs!
oh definitely get a round brush as well for the longer lengths of your hair just use your paddle brush to keep your bangs nice, wispy, & straight! :) I bet they would look cute curled with a round brush too!

Pursebuzz, you're the best. This should totally be a must-see for every girl, a PSA. When I first moved where I am now, I went to an Ulta salon for a trim and the hairdresser freaking LEFT ME right after she shampooed my hair because she was double booked. Well, the second hairstylist had no clue how my hair looked when it was dry, how I normally wear my hair or how I wanted it cut. It was such a terrible experience that I wanted to run home and cry afterwards. NEVER AGAIN!
Your fringe looks amazing. You would look adorable with a cute a-line or a pixie cut. Would you ever think about going that short?
Also, I heard Tea Tree Shampoos work well with people who have oily scalps and dry, brittle ends. Dry Shampoos (either a powder or a spray like Batiste) are good for people with oily scalps who don't want to shampoo every day. They also deodorize the hair. I happen to have very porous hair that sucks in food smells or someone's perfume when I walk by them. Yuck!

Word of mouth is the best way to find a good salon. Malls have good salons like Regis. But I find that they charge a lot more than others. Ask someone who has a great cut where they go :)

I use to have hair that stopped a little bit past my shoulders. Then i started to get it trimmed every 6-8 week and it just started growing. Multivitamins and patience is the key :)

yea i take biotion. it really makes my hair look and feel heatlhy, oh! and it makes ur hair very healthy, nails and skin too, very good vitamin, i also trim my hair every 6-8 weeks and i notice my hair feels a lot healthier and it does grow a little bit faster than usual, also u gotta maintain a healthy diet

When i got my hair cut. I have..well had long hair lol my hair was half way down my back and i Told them to cut it ABIT past my shoulders And do you know when they wet ur hair b4 they cut it. Weeeeeeel they didnt. My hair was getting cut while it was dry and my hair is just above my coler bone...I Freakin Cried!!! i have extentions now to cover her fuck up!..but i didnt know what to say because she was my boy friends and my boy friends brother and there friends friend

Oh my gosh I remember sometimes when I get a hair cut the person would turn my chair around and I always wonder why did they do that. I wanna ask them, but I just don't want to sound stupid I thought maybe that's just how they do it. Well thanks for the advice! Next time they turn my chair around I'll walk out that salon for sure.

I recently got highlights and I am very unhappy with the result. My hair has blotches of orange where it should be blond. They obviously did not distribute the toner evenly everywhere. I was wondering if you know what is the best way to fix this problem myself? I am going for the light blond highlight look.

I don't do hair professionally, but i can tell you that it takes a few times before you get blonde results. especially if you have dyed your hair in the past. You can buy conair or loreal (forgot the brand)from sally's its purple shampoo, let it sit in your hair for 3-5 min (dry hair) and rinse out :) that will help it.

I am a hairdresser and I've been teaching people your "scalp" shampoo forever! When I tell my clients about that I call it a "quick poo" or "quick shampoo" thanks for sharing with everyone else!

yes, but if its too oily, then don't use conditioner on your scalp every time you wash your hair. Just every other time. :)

hey pursebuzzz. alot of good hairdressers turn their chairs around while theyr workin on your cut an colour for drama. becuase u should see the looks on their faces when they see their new and improved selves. i got a bad cut recently, the first in a long long time(had to go get it corrected at my reugular joint) it was actualy the first time i rememebr ever facing the mirror when she was cutting it. soo its not always a bad thing when they turn you :)

TThanks a ton!! You are so helpful with all of the great tips. I've had a stylist messed up my hair, and yet I tipped her, too...Bad idea..She toook 3-4 hours doing my hair, and it turned out so not close to what I wanted but I felt bad for her, so, I tipped her, anyway...And most of the stylists that were good there at the salon I went to, didn't want to do my hair, becuase they must thought I was cheap since, I dress so trashy..Lol.. But yeah, that was mssed up..Thanks!

There's nothing better than finding a good stylist. It makes life so much easier. I went to stylists who didn't pay attention to my hair and talked to the other stylists in the room. My hair never ended up the way I asked. I stopped settling for bad haircuts, spent a little more and went to classy place. They actually ask tons of questions about your hair, and all that good stuff the entire time, unlike the $10-20 haircuts.
BTW I love your new look, the highlights brighten up your face :D

Hi Pursebuzz! Your hair looks amazing! I would like to recommend that if you wash your hair, you can first put conditioner in your hair from your ears down and then wash your scalp. That way your ends will be protected and nurtured at the same time.

I recommend a Natural Boar Bristle Round Brush for your hair texture. Natural Bristles give finer hair more volume and shine whether creating straight styles or beveled ends. Marilyn is a brand of brushes that are a staple in styling and have been in hairdressers toolboxes for years! Spornette and Cricket styling brushes are two other brands I have used with fantastic results! Typically, the longer the hair the bigger the barrel. I would opt for a paddle brush for your cute new bangs!

oh definitely get a round brush as well for the longer lengths of your hair just use your paddle brush to keep your bangs nice, wispy, & straight! :) I bet they would look cute curled with a round brush too!

Pursebuzz, you're the best. This should totally be a must-see for every girl, a PSA. When I first moved where I am now, I went to an Ulta salon for a trim and the hairdresser freaking LEFT ME right after she shampooed my hair because she was double booked. Well, the second hairstylist had no clue how my hair looked when it was dry, how I normally wear my hair or how I wanted it cut. It was such a terrible experience that I wanted to run home and cry afterwards. NEVER AGAIN!

Your fringe looks amazing. You would look adorable with a cute a-line or a pixie cut. Would you ever think about going that short?
Also, I heard Tea Tree Shampoos work well with people who have oily scalps and dry, brittle ends. Dry Shampoos (either a powder or a spray like Batiste) are good for people with oily scalps who don't want to shampoo every day. They also deodorize the hair. I happen to have very porous hair that sucks in food smells or someone's perfume when I walk by them. Yuck!

Word of mouth is the best way to find a good salon. Malls have good salons like Regis. But I find that they charge a lot more than others. Ask someone who has a great cut where they go :)

I want to find a hair stylist like that where I can trust and knows me and my hair and stuff. I have a question, do you have any tips for making your hair grow faster? My hair is right at my shoulders now, and I really want to grow it out really long so I was wondering if there were any like diets, or vitamins, or certain hair products to make your hair grow faster? I use to have hair that stopped a little bit past my shoulders. Then i started to get it trimmed every 6-8 week and it just started growing. Multivitamins and patience is the key :)

yea i take biotion. it really makes my hair look and feel heatlhy, oh! and it makes ur hair very healthy, nails and skin too, very good vitamin, i also trim my hair every 6-8 weeks and i notice my hair feels a lot healthier and it does grow a little bit faster than usual, also u gotta maintain a healthy diet

its a vitamin, very healthy and good vitamin. lots of woman in my family take it, u can get it at cvs, walmart, walgreens, etc. ask ur doctor, he/she will reccomend it =]

so we are not suppose to wash our hair everyday? like, i used to live in another country, and like they take a shower like either every week, 2 weeks or month. and my hair was never oily or dry, and i didnt have dandruff. but now i take a shower and wash my hair everyday, i cant stand to not take a shower for a day, my hair gets all smelly and dirty and oily...ugh..
