  • love!

  • tun tun tun tun tun pum pum pum pum tich tich tich tan tan tan tan

  • This is such a powerful message that it moved me, and I'm not even a religious person. VNV Nation forever

  • the drop at 3:00 is my god.

  • Most definitely the best song I discovered this year

  • The beautiful thing about humanist music is that people from all faiths can appreciate the message. There is no need to spread hate.

    Victory, Not Vengeance.

  • @RenovatedLocksmith what if u use vengeance to ensure victory? didnt think about that did ya?

  • @Qweeftastic

But is victory truly won when you resort to the same base behaviors of your enemy? In becoming that which you seek to conquer, who has truly emerged triumphant?

  • I love the beat and I LOVE the lyrics... stop looking for a god to answer to and take some responsibility!

  • incredible !!!

  • This song is awesome. Never it with vocals. Fuck religion and fuck god.

  • @chaosarrow66

"To be honest, at one point we had die-hard Christians thinking that our songs were all about serious Jesus stuff, and I said, “We’re Humanist.” I don’t advocate any religion. I have my own spirituality, my own view of the universe and how it works. I respect religion, and I’m probably closer to Buddhism than I am to anything."

  • ich habe heute ?

  • epic tune!!

this always gets me pumped for a night out!!!

  • To me, vnv nation is a symbol. I love there music, and alot of it perfectly describes our society. Long live vnv nation.

  • To me, VNV Nation is one man expressing himself without compromise. He expresses the ideals that VNV Nation stands for. Victory Not Vengence. Many of his songs show hard to deal with emotions. But he never lets that beat him as a man or a person. He strives and excels. One can listen to the music and tell there is a lot of pain and sorrow, but it's still somehow uplifting. Victory Not Vengence That's what it means to me. I'm not disagreeing with you by any means either. :)

  • I understand, and i agree. ^_^

  • If you were talking about any other band I would think they were paying you to say all that.

  • vnvnation is einfach geil :)

  • Love this track!

  • VnV Nation is more then renowned for their great electronic music and use of electronic sounding voices for the better parts of their songs

  • I think I've just fallen in love with this song

  • I can honestly say this is one of the coolest things i've ever heard. Especially when his voice turns into a robot, I mean damn!!!

  • I love this song, it has a deep meaning to me. Some people think it's a anti-religious song but I feel it's more of a self-empowering song. To not look to the outside of yourself for strength and hope but to find it within yourself and not chain yourself with hollow bonds to something that weakens you inside and out.

  • amen

  • thanks :-)

  • @VampRune Hmm. I agree that's definitely a song about looking inward towards ones self for strength and reason than than outward to some fantasy... i'd also agree not necessarily an anti-religious song, but maybe a song against against organized religion and all the crap it brings with it? That's what i love about VNV. you can always find a way to make their lyrics meaningful to you.

  • You seek a God to stand above you, wrapping healing arms around you. You'll find another God of pain, a God of suffering and tears...

  • Add "&fmt=18" at the end of the video URL to make this even more awesome!

  • seriously without it, a ton of these songs sound like shit

  • well first i loved the original version of this... found the one with vocals... and loved it even more!

  • yummy

  • I love these lyrics. Very true in certain cases.

Many people make their own version of a "God" to fill up something in their lives, but it's still empty and ends up hurting them, and hurting anyone else that tries to make them see the truth.

  • yeah. like voting for barack obama.

  • I don't follow. Well, sort of. I was about to say something, but the truth is, people really have been treating him like the freaking second coming. But I don't associate with anyone that went that gaga over him. I feel he was the better choice over Skeletor and Minnie Moose, and it pissed off the fundamentalists that he got elected, so that's always nice.

  • well it's always a false choice, but that's besides the point.

it's precisely that people have been doing that (and always will) which makes it so bad. it's one thing when you put all your faith in your car to get you somewhere important. the difference is that your car has no ego. it can't develop a complex.

god himself is that thing that fills up believers' lives. we don't try to find him in obama or in a car. he's just everywhere, period.

  • @MoonBabyhowl

Very true, my marriage was destroyed by a "reborn" Christian who doesn't even see the damage in becoming a fanatic years ago!

  • @MoonBabyhowl That's funny you say that cause vnv nation is Christain idiot.

  • @chaosarrows66 He may well be. I don't remember saying anything against the faith in and of itself, only those who use their faith to suppress and harm others. Believing something like "because I'm a Christian, I need to be like Christ and help others and be charitable and foster peace" has nothing wrong with it and is admirable. "Because I'm a Christian, I need to force other people to believe the same as me and harm people because I don't like them" is something very different.

  • @MoonBabyhowl Oh, sorry I misread you there.

  • @MoonBabyhowl A-fucking-men. I've known Christians of both varieties. The former are awesome to be around, the latter need a piece of hot lead injected in the skull.

  • @chaosarrows66 NOT TRUE spiritual yes NOT CHRISTIAN!

  • @chaosarrows66

Ahh but you see, he's not.

Therefore you're the idiot, gj idiot.

  • great song

    i love it :-D

  • Words can't describe!

  • This is amazing music. It's epic. :]
