  • Adam Godley stole the show with his performance; he made the character his own and show Raymond slightly more vulnerably then Hoffman's portrayal.

  • The play itself, or what I did manage to hear, wasn't quite what I expected. I was hoping they would try to make it their own but it was pretty much just a copy of the movie. I also found that the actors voices didn't carry very well and couldn't always hear them all, needed a little more projection or floating mics possibly. Josh Hartnett surpassed my expectations as a Hollywood actor adapting to stage...

  • I saw the play last night and have to say the audience really ruined it for me. A lot of people just seemed to be there for Josh Hartnett rather than to watch the play. A lot of noisy eaters, why do people have to eat in a theatre, its not a cinema! And as a fellow actor myself I know how the sound travels to stage. You may think your noises can't be heard on stage but trust me, THEY CAN!...

  • I saw this play yesterday, and it is one of the best plays i have ever seen!!! The sets were incredible!! best i've seen in a play. Josh Hartnett's acting was excellent and Adam Godly was brilliant, you really got lost in the play. I feel very lucky to have seen this play and I hope Josh Hartnett does more plays in london, because he is fantastic on stage. The play was very funny, and also had some very emotional scenes. I give the play 10/10.

  • this was brilliant i saw it yesterday, amazing just amazing!! Adam goldley is outstanding!! and i didnt mind josh getting his top off either lol

  • I saw this on saturday, Josh has been ill from food poisening so we were lucky to see him! I got his and Adams autograph.

  • My daughter + I saw this Nov 24. I was fascinated by Adam Godley.Must be hard to "do Raymond" after Dustin H. My daughter -true Josh fan- was pleased! Sad, though, that fans can't move away when they have had their autograph to let others get theirs. Waited for a long time for Josh to come out again, he didn't, even though there were only about 10 people waiting. Signing autographs is a part of being a star, so "not acceptable"! Got Adam's autograph though.. he seemed really nice and friendly!

  • SAF57:

he is performing on stage everyday! sometimes twice a day...so you can't expect him to come out all the time...as he comes out most of the time...! yeah adam lovely!

  • I realise that... of course. And reading all the comments I am only glad that it WAS him on stage - otherwise my daughter would have killed someone - and it would have been a rather expensive experience. Anyway, now we know who Adam is - and will keep and eye on him... BRILLIANT!

  • yeha ...i felt sorry for the people who don't live near who wanted to see him but due to him being ill (food poison)...but you can't expect him to perform while he is very ill

  • I saw this on wedensday,

Adam Godley was amazing in it.

josh hartnett was 'indisposed' but his understudy was very good too.

  • i met godley after the show he is genuinly such a nice guy

    josh was "ill"

  • Saw this on Saturday - Adam Godley was phenominal.

Hartnett was good, but... not a career for stage I not think, but... wow Godley was good.

  • I had a great time last night!!! I really enjoyed the show, especially Josh Hartnett!!!

  • Saw it first night (which was good, very good) but then I went on the 27th Sept and Josh was amazing; he shows genuine emotion and a real feeling for the character's journey. To see a man in tears is always heart breaking, even on stage, the tears are real.

  • josh was fine but fine is not west end standard. Adam Godley was truly amazing, if it weren't for him the entire play wouldn't really be worth watching.

  • nooo i was in london in that period but i coulnd't go to watch the performance..noooo..i'm desperate!

  • im going on friday for my 21st :D im a massive josh fan how do u get to the backstage bit to potentially meet him then? :D

  • saw it last night, josh stumbled a bit but was still a brilliant performance, i'm hoping to go see it again :)

  • saw this today think its been running a week now and josh was good he got muddled a couple of times but handled it well and the audience had great affection for him. was a really good play

  • i saw this...the first day it came out wooowoo....got an autograph with josh 2

  • I saw this yesterday. I was in the front (top tip sit on the stage right as soh there all the time!)felt a bit bad for Josh because he got his words muddled up a lot and forgot a few lines and in the end didn't know if he should take a rose a lady offered him or not - he didn't in the end.

The ending is a bit of a letdown but I think once the cast (josh) know their words better this play is awesome (not better than the movie)

  • haha i was there!!!.....well its natural for people to get muddled up with words...and it was his first performance

  • yes I agree - and he had a *lot* of words.

Wasn't actually even the opening night was it. I am thinking of going again a bit later to see how he does then.

When did you see Josh? :o

  • it was the opening night cos it was his first day...

yeah me 2 going for my birthday in december hopefully

at the end of the play outside...he came out but becuase i wasn't in front i couldn't get a picture with him...etc

    they were photographers aswell...

  • Im going to watch this in october got front seat tickets it better worth it and i no it will be...josh hartnett isnt just goood looking but his acting is brilliant to love him...i really hope it does well....wooooohooooooo cnt wait!!!
