whats the point in all this anyway motocross bikes are for tracks wich you are normally nowhere near flat in top gear my 2005 ktm 125 rattray edition is geared for the tight tracks i go too and i rekon it only does about 50 if your lucky totally pointless exercise if you want a bike to go fast go buy an r1 or summit

@PerkA2324 your full of shit man my ktm 200 exc ( which is a wide ratio gearbox) does max 132km/h , and my mates ktm 450 exc does 154 km/h and my other mates ktm 300 exc does 155km/h. I went riding with a cr125 with full exhaust, vforce reeds and its top was about 115km/h. Your on drugs buddy if you think a 125 can do 150km/h

Obviously the GSX-R wins on the long run, but the KTM would win any sprint. Not even to talk about a 250 or a 500 2stroke motocross bike, who is also made to sprint. :)

O yah thatsright I'm sorry I forgot that 2002 was the last year for a 6 speed transmition to make a slimmer bike so they went to a 5 speed transmition but I think there geered the same so you realy don't lose any speed

I have a 2002 sx125 and it has a six speed transmision and I clocked it against my days f150 ford and I got it up to 79MPH no joke we even did it like for more times the slowest was 76MPH I hope this helps a little my bikes all stock just besides the jetting for my area and the graphics and silencer look at my video and tell me what you guy think

85s do around that...the 125s especially the sx 125s do around 80-85mph
