@jasomcox No offense, but Zombie made one of the best remakes of a movie ever made. Halloween: Resurrection is what killed the series. It should have ended after H20. And if they wanted to make another Halloween (not being a remake), they should have sequeled Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers. It would have been jumping around on the two different plot lines, but it would have been better than Resurrection and would have left H20's great ending at peace.

@Rabidpit189 I'd say MAYBE $300 and that includes the purchase of the mask. This was a long time ago, I had to beg and borrow every last bit of equipment and costumes. Oh and maybe another $100 for the rental of the synthesizer to make the sound track for a month.

@strangerathome That's filmmaking at its finest right there: no budget, down and dirty and resourceful. This film is very good considering the budget you were on. The soundtrack is probably my favorite part of the film.

@strangerathome I actually live in the Warren County that Smiths Grove, Warren County is based on (the namesake at least). Oddly enough, despite John Carpenter having been a student at Western Kentucky University, it almost seems as though it's just a footnote to the folks here. I kind of thought it would have been a bigger deal that John Carpenter and even Tommy Lee Wallace are from this area. It does have a spooky feel to it though around fall.

It was NEVER made clear Loomis dies at the end of "Curse" -Pleasence died in real life, yes, but we only heard him scream off-screen. And in the Producer's Cut of the movie, Loomis is very much alive, but not so well...

I know the bald cap is horrible as well as the acting, but meh, what can you do when you're in high school and only have your friends to help out...
