  • Much, much cheaper to make your own lead balls from automotive wheel weights. Just make sure to do it outdoors with good ventillation. If you were to use steel balls instaed, you could easily pick them up from the grass using a magnet on a stick - wouldn't even have to bend over. Wouldn't have to tear up your yard either. Could've also used a large plastic storage box or a recycling container or the like - would've been a lot less work, and weight.

Thanks for sharing, appreciate your effort.

  • Im suprised it doesnt put holes in the bottle!

  • Sometimes it does. The lead shot is big around and the bottle is very light and hanging by a string, so it takes alot to puncture it. A good day of shooting I have to change bottles at least once.

  • Yes that is true. How long did that take to make.

  • The actual building took just over three hours.

  • Oh, worth it tho?

  • It has saved me tons of money, the backdrop cost me about 30 bucks in materials. Each lead ball costs about 15 cents, and I have shot several thousand times into the backdrop.

  • Yep. You can always use marbles you know.

  • very nice, i use the same desighn, but with a big cardboard box instead of plywood.

  • nice one.

  • cool
