As a second generation legal immigrant, old fart, here's an idea I had.
All Illegals from whatever country they came from, and their anchor babies under the age of 18 - go back to their native country until they come in the right way. When the child or children are 18, they can come back to the US. That way, we don't break up any families.
Just a thought - cause I truly think the immigration issue is going to take on a whole new meaning, once our economy finally bottoms out.

I could tell you countless stories of crime illegals have gotten away with without being deported. I know many American citizens who have been victims of illegal aliens! INS, ICE, Homeland Security and our government does NOT give a damn! The illegals know this and will keep coming until OUR government takes action and enforces the existing laws on the books!

You forgot to mention that they don't pay taxes but they use our services, so the actual US citizens have to pay extra taxes to make up for what the illegals use but dont pay for.

I live in the border state of Texas and you can't even imagine the havoc that illegals are causing here..they pour across the border daily..yet the government does nothing.

All these ideas get us nowhere when our elected government won't do anything except punish american citizens for defending themselves and their property.. Ranchers on the border who try to stop illegals from destroying their land and breaking into their houses are being sued by illegals and even US border agents understand they will be imprisoned for taking action against drug runners flooding over our southern border..

This is just a thought, and I wonder if this has crossed anyone else's mind? The govt gives illegal's all the rights they want and more, and then they will be beholden to the govt/BO. Not only will they vote for who has allowed them these generous benefits, but they will fight for whatever they want them to also, including taking our rights away from us. What better way to kill 2 birds with one stone. I don't know. Just a thought, but one I have mulled over lately.

hey aczechosloviav, also illegal minorites get $400,000 dollars down to start a bussness and they dont have to pay taxes for 10yrs once they been here for 8-9 yrs they pack up and head back home and the banks lose money. thats one of the resons we r in a financal crisis. and i also agree with what u said about them getting more gov aid then u and me. my cousine tried to get a gov grant to go to college and she had to wait forever but there were illegal minoritys getting the grants oin the spot

i went to a wal mart near west virgina and most of there employees were illegals. i asked one of them a question about a product and the employee could not speak english. another thing that makes me fucking sick is when im driving down the road and i see a car full off mexicans and they display the mexican flag over top the american flag. but i will say this, im glad to have the immigrants that come here legally. and they r hard workers and embrass america

just to show u all how serios the illegal immigration problem is, 4 yrs ago a maryland state trooper was driving accross chesapeake bay bridge and while he was driving across , the trooper noticed 2 arabs on a part of the bridge that is closed off to the public. well the 2 arabs were taking pictures of the structure of the bridge. well he arrested them, and while in custody, they said they came to the u.s throught the border and these 2 individuals were on the fbi watch list. seal the borders!!

hey tommy here in the state of maryland it is a safe haven for illegals . also our govenor allows illegals to get drivers licenses and credit cards. our govenor martin o malley has raised our taxes on just about every thing here in maryland for social programs for illegal immigrants. maryland passed a law not long ago stating that maryland police cannot question immigrants status when questioning them. tommy also in montgomery county the ms-13 gang is infested there.

As a second generation legal immigrant, old fart, here's an idea I had.
All Illegals from whatever country they came from, and their anchor babies under the age of 18 - go back to their native country until they come in the right way. When the child or children are 18, they can come back to the US. That way, we don't break up any families.
Just a thought - cause I truly think the immigration issue is going to take on a whole new meaning, once our economy finally bottoms out.
