  • Thanks so much for this information! I am a full time student and can't afford repair bills. I was dreading having to go to the tweaker laundo-land. You are a saint!

  • Thanks so much for the vid! Repair man wanted $175 and I did it myself for only $53 and a half hour of work :)

  • I declare myself Queen of Appliance Repair! $3.75 for the part, $11.23 with expedited shipping, and about 30 minutes for installation - I tend to check and double check the video at each step. Repair Clinic is my hero!

  • 26.50 for the switch and about 30 minutes of work. thanks so much! easy instructions to follow! although my switch was just a little different i figured it out!

  • Thanks so much! Great instructions. About $30 for the part and shipping, and a half hour to replace

  • Thank you! Took about 15 min to install

  • Great video with easy to follow instruction!

  • I was able to fix my Mother-in-laws washing machine like a pro with the help of this video. Thank you very much! Very helpful and very easy to follow.

  • thank you so much!

  • wow!!!! i feel like a professional repairman! The video was dead on. I fixed the problem using one of their parts, a lid switch / $50 w tax purchased from one of their local dealerships. i saved almost $175 for the home visit and the mark up on the part. RepairClinic is the first place I come to...THEY ROCK!! fixed the door switch on my dryer last month. THANK YOU REPAIR CLINIC.

  • Thank you very very much!

My problem was the switch but my confusion was how to

open up the unit. Thanks again! ☮

  • extremely helpful video!! from receiving lid switch in the mail to complete install took 15 mins!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Excellent video. Very helpful.

  • This was great, thank you. It took about 20 minutes, and I cleaned/vacuumed all surfaces. Thanks!

  • This video saved my money a bunch by not calling serviceman/handyman to do it. My washer did not drain and it turned out to be lid switch was broken. I followed instructions as said in this video and able to temporarily fix the lid switch (use rubberband).

  • So thankful for this video! I saved over $100 by doing this repair video. I would recommend doing this with a buddy or at least someone who can start and stop the video. If you need to get the water out of the tub, I suggest siphoning it by priming a hose, never sucking on the hose to start a siphon. There are plenty of videos for that out there.

  • Great video, saved me $900 buying a new washer, thanks again. Ordered the part online which cost $26 including shipping and took me about 15 minutes to fit.

  • thank you so much......Was not very happy when I had a tub full over water that would not drain.....The switch worked perfectly.....

  • YAY me! with your help I fixed my washer :) Thank you!

  • Excellent video. I usually have my husband or father fix the applances when they break. With this video I did it myself. Yeah me! :) and yeah you guys.

  • Thank you for posting! So many helpful tips in here, I only wished I had watched how the repairman removes the wire connector from the machine's connection point more carefully, as I didn't pull out and only pulled up, which cost me some time and aggravation. Some machines may also have a screw in the back of the machine that holds the cabinet shell in place -- this also needs to be unscrewed before the cabinet shell can be removed from the washing machine. All in all, great job guys!

  • Once again, your videos have spared me from having to purchase a new washing machine! :-) (repaired a broken agitator gear and now this). I probably didn't need this video for repair since it's simple enough and I have had previous experience removing the cabinet but its definently useful to others. A great example of why I love YouTube! Thanks again! :-)

  • Great instructional video! With the help of this video, I actually did a temporary fix on the existing switch until the $37 replacement arrives.

The switch itself had begun to split apart, so the washer would not enter the rinse and spin cycles.

So I followed the instructions for removal of the switch and carefully used some superglue to reattach the two separating pieces. It worked. At least we can do some wash until the part comes in.

  • Thank you!!! Perfect instructions, easy to follow, and now I can do laundry again!

  • awesome i was having trouble with this ..im subbing you guys for sure thanks

  • Gloriously accurate and easy -- besides working in the tiny hole where my washer is located. Thanks for your help!!

  • Thank you so much! This video saved me a service call. Very well done.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!

  • Quick thank you....I just repaired my first washer machine and the wife loves me even more haha! This was very helpful

  • A big thank you for the easy-to-follow video. It saved me $55.

  • excellent video. used it today to successful result. kudos.

  • Thank you so much for this video! I was able to fix my washing machine today all by myself. The repair man told it would cost $125 to fix plus the $50 just to come look at it! Now I'm going to watch the other videos to see what else I can fix!

  • This was very helpful to me. I fixed the lid switch and that was the problem. My girlfriend and I were able to get everything back together and the washer is working fine. Thanks for putting things like this out for people like me who are not handy at all. You saved me a lot of money.

  • This really helped out, thanks!! Good work.

  • This is TWO repairs on the same washer I have done thanks to RepairClinic. You guys are champs!

  • Another one for the good guys. Saved $80. Paid $40 for the part and labor was compliments of me!!!

  • This video saved me at least $150. Thank you so much!

  • Awesome!

  • Excellent. All the other DYI videos could learn a few things from you guys. IN addition to clear and concise instructions, you gave us info on where to get the part and what tools would be needed. Bravi!!!

  • thank you SOOOOOO much!!!! I am a widow aged 47, never thought I would be able to do this sort of thing, but these videos are great. Thanks for helping me with my 2nd washer repair (also did a dishwasher repair). This has saved me so much money that I don't have!!!

  • Thanks for such a great video...step by step instructions were dead-on for my Kenmore. I bypassed the lid switch for now until I can get a replacement part.

    Great video

  • This rocks. I fixed my lid switch and save much money doing so.

  • Also a single lady who never thought I could fix a washer. My Whirlpool Stylemaster 4217141 is back to 100% thanks to this clear and concise video!

  • Amazing! Am a single woman who is sick of devious repair people. To be able to fix these items myself really empowers me.

  • From the 80s? My machine is from 2003, and this video was extremely helpful.

  • Wow how do you guys only have 700+ subs?!!

  • This is a very nice video if u are repairing a washing machine from the 80s

  • Thanks for this video. I was able to fix my washer rather than throw it out.

  • Good info with excellent instructions and quality film work.

  • Thanks, I just fixed my 11 year old Whirlpool by following these instructions. Total repair bill was $12!

  • Well Done

  • Thank you! Thank you! Saved me lots of money. Very easy to follow. WONDERFUL!

  • I can not say thanks enough! Once, I had figured out what was wrong with my washer I got to it. Opened up in less than 15 mins and the part off in less than 5 mins. Only problem was that it was late in the evening and I had to wait until the next day to get the part. Now it's running like a top again and it only cost me $38! Thank you!

  • Awesome! 15.82 and less than 20 min. Thanks!!!

Sad part is, I bet people throw out a machine that ends up in the land fill and could be fixed so easily.

  • This video saved me a ton of money! I am a 40yo single female and I did the repair in under 15 minutes! Would have cost me $200!

  • Awesome video. Thanks for saving me a ton of money. Fix was super easy and video was a great step by step visual process. Glad I found the video. With driving to buy the part (35 min), the fix took less than an hour.

  • Great video! but i must say the quality of a Kenmore washer has gone done the drain. First, there is no reason the switch should fall apart like that and the black floor base was TOTALLY rotted out! My washer is only 5 years old and it replaced a kenmore I had for nearly 30 years that was rusted but not to the point where the metal could be crushed by bare hands. I now have a feeling another part will need replacing soon.

  • great video...saved me $180.00. It took about 10 minutes to do the job and start washing clothes again. Thanks for your help

  • Excellent video!!!!!

Took less than 30 minutes, plus the travel time to go get the $25 lid switch.

    Thanks!

  • fixed in under 10 minutes... Very helpful video

  • Great video, very helpful. Studying the repair procedure, and following the phots is no where close to any good as compared to this video

  • Very good video. It's not always this easy to see exactly what needs to be done.

  • Neither my husband nor I had EVER attempted working on a washing machine, and thought we'd have to buy a new one. But because of this video I found, we(mostly he) did it all ourselves. A BIG "thank you"!!

  • Well, a small miracle happened today! I actually replaced the lid switch on my washer, thanks to this video. Wow... If a 62-year-old grandmother can do this, ANYONE can! Thank you so much for the help. I know I had some heavenly guidance as well to even attempt such a thing! Very grateful to you, RC!

  • As if Repair Clinic did not already have my parts business, now I find the You Tube channel, this video plus the giant catalog of parts saved me from buying a new washer. Total expenditure on this project: $20 plus 30 min, RC rocks!

  • Great video!!! After watching this it only took me like 30mins to complete the job...actually putting back on the case i found the most difficult. Thanks again!

  • Thank you so much for this video from a hard working, single mom who couldnt afford a service call/repair, my washer is running now~~

  • Thanks for making this video! It will save a lot of time and money!! Other folks made this fix look so complicated or expensive (if hired out). This is so simple and easy to do!! Glad I found your video!

BTW, it took a lot of digging and luck to find this. You might want to check out how your videos are found via Google. The key words might be off. Lots of useless junk came up first.

  • Thank you so much for this very well done video. I have minimal mechanical ability, but this video allowed me to successfully accomplish the repair on our washer.
