  • I just can't wait to someone to show me where to get the best of pho. so far, I have to go back to the original, viet nam to get the best of it. but if you are a picky one you need to have a good guidance to have one. good luck in searching for the best. please let us know if you know one.

Yeap, his early version of pho includes all of rotten bones with magots crawling everyhwere, that the reason he added cinnamon and star anise to cover the awful smell

Then uncle Ho jump on to the formula. He added several secrets ingredients to make Pho smell good as today version.. unfortunatley uncle Ho killed uncle pho rite after he mastering the cooking technic ...

p.s. leaving chopsticks in the bowl after you eat is bad.. it means your parents are gonna die.

  • if your vietnamese and u hate pho u r screwed up

  • Pho is best when you use broth made from actual meat/bone, not solely on flavoring powder. I love pho.

  • pho is good i tried it numerous of times the place i eat at is called Ao Sen

  • pho is good i tried it numerous of times the place i eat at is called Ao Sen

  • if u want some pho u go vietnam or go USA

  • wow now i REALLY want some pho i luv pho so much but my mom SOMETIMES makes it for me

  • IMO, the hoison sauce and siracha sauce shouldn't be added to the soup as it takes away all the flavors that the kitchen has intended it to be. The soup is the most important aspect of pho and if you find the need to have to add copious amounts of sauce, then the pho quite simply sucks.

I myself keep it on the side in the petri dish as dipping sauce for the meats, that is unless there's something wrong with the soup.

  • pho is hella bomb!

  • In order to eat pho correctly, one should add basil, ngo gai ("saw-leaf herb"), cilantro, a sprinkle of black pepper, bean sprouts, lime, hoisin sauce, and Sirachi chili sauce for the ultimate experience. The soup here looks really bland and cloudy. Spice it up! ~from a true Viet gal

  • what the pho

  • It is a traditional Vietnamese noodle soup with either chicken or beef broth. The broth is the focus of the dish because it is seasoned with many herbs and spices and again chicken or beef bones and meat slowly for hours for the flavors to mingle and become one. It's quite delicious and healthy as well. Bon appetit!

  • lol thanks professor = )

  • This pho must be from the midwest. And that's a bit too much cilantro. That must be pho on crack because it looks a bit small.

  • West coast, LA to be exact. This is a Korean version of pho.

  • no wonder, what they need to do is put the grren vegies in i usually dotn do onions or bean sprouts, and that restaurant needs to put more meat in there

  • You must be FAT :]

  • WHere at in LA? Ive been looking for a good pho place around the 562 area.

  • This place is quite far from 562 and is not that great; it would be better for you to look in Westminster which probably has the best pho of any city in the US

  • Hm yeah people keep telling me that westminster is the place to go, so I think I will. Thanks!

  • I'll try to get a name of a place for you - I know a lot of people who bomb down there for great Vietnamese.

  • Please! That would be great.

  • i dunno...i had some pretty good pho in tempe, arizona

  • pho FTW!

  • pho FTW!

  • i get hungry every time i see this *drools*

  • PHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO <3

  • Restaurants are no subsitute to home-made pho.

  • I love Pho, but can you make it vege?

  • pho makes me fart

  • wtf i have those plates at home.

  • yummy

  • It wouldn't taste good without the chopsticks.

  • theres like no meat in that one, and the broth is too clear

  • its funny how some white ppl use forks to eat soup noodles instead of chopsticks, but CHOPSTICKS RULEZ

  • hey, wait a minute.. isn't this the one on magnolia and gg blvd (korean district)?

  • 7th and Vermont.

  • oh ic. tnx! i've been to all pho2000s except the ones that are in LA.

  • This must be in Saigon.

Try Pho in Hanoi, totally different and more delicious :)

  • Actually, it's in Los Angeles. It's not authentic Vietnamese pho since the place is a Korean owned chain. It's not bad, and I actually prefer it to the trendy Vietnamese pho sered in Silver Lake and Eagle Rock (w/ a few exceptions).

  • The way they entertain Pho is similar to Saigon's style :)

Agree that it's not bad, but not as good as in Hanoi :)

  • A real pho restaurant never gives you cilantro on the side to add to your pho, it should be already in the broth. They should only give you BASIL and BEAN SPROUTS, even more authentic is this green aromatic spikey leafy herb that smells really good but I don't know if there's an English name to it.

  • i luv home made pho better,

    nuffin topz pho man!

  • Hell@ good

  • I am sorry to say that it is not Pho at all. It was an immitation of Pho - a mixture of eatable dishes. Believe me. I have Pho eeeeeVERY morning!

  • how is it weak..

  • holy shit i luv pho bitch

  • Darn it im hungry now!! Dude.. she doesn't put any sauce in.. I mean.. how can you eat Pho with Brown and Hot sauce?!?!? Thats just plain and yucky! She uses too much onions and stuff too! Gross! Or maybe its cuz we're guys and shes a girl lol. I guess guys eat more flavoraful stuff.

  • lol she keeps mixing

  • whoa who that pho looks good but not as good as the ones i eat i love tuong

  • lol that pho looks weak

  • The broth is clear because all of the foam was removed.

  • my mom makes better. much much better

  • thats the bizzness right there... MMMM

  • Are You Vietnamese???

  • Hey Vi3tec,

Unfortunatly your uncle Ho choked uncle Pho to death infront of my naked eyes in 1945, after that he claimed "pho" as Vietnamese food

  • whatever dude just keep thinking that nonsense youve made up.

  • Just so you know this Restaurant these girl are at is in Korea-Town in Between 4th & 5th street. It open 24 HOURS !

  • What type of broth do they use?

  • (uncle ho being a joke for Ho chi minh)

  • okay i've heard of uncle HO... but UNCLE PHO??? i think your a few cookies short of the stack bro. and that pho looks awful..

  • For all of you comments about uncle Pho !!!

Let ask yourself, why the hell you call such bs as "uncle Ho", and not let others call the man who invented the holly smoke noodle soup as "uncle Pho" ?

  • are you kidding me?

  • yummm pho but i would like it with the hot sauce and hoisin

  • the pho looks good but how could you eat it so plain

  • um...that's how pho is supposed to be eaten. the veggies and mints are supposed to be garnish

  • dude, that pho looks groddyyyy...ichk....instant noodle status...

  • really, so very banana like ahahahaha dont be angry i was just teasing

  • so very white

  • actually, so very Korean

  • Homemade pho is better than restaurant pho =)

  • Tokyo1943 you are an idiot? Uncle Pho never existed! Pho*? was found around the 1950s during the French colonization hence the name Pho*? with the exact symbols. What sort of "Chinese" person would have such a name? Chinese don't even have the same alphabet.

  • tokyo's theory is total crap but there is no 100 percent provable theory on the origin of pho. and I dont understand your discussion on the alphabet/symbols..a chinese person in vietnam would have a name that is vietnamized so that it could be written in modern vietnamese script. just like how chinese dont use the roman alphabet but living in the US they would romanize their name like "kwan" or "lee" or whatever.

  • Tokyo are you on a mission going around youtube claiming Pho is Chinese? Not to mention you have to disguise yourself as Jap to do so. How pathetic you are. Get a life man.

  • Pho was invented by a Chinese lived in VN early 20th century, his name was 'Uncle Pho', that's why today Vietnamese callthis soup PHO. Uncle Pho began his carrer with a mobile pot of pho on Hanoi street. He prepared the soup from cheap-rotten beef bones collected from butchers or trash piles in the markets
