i have a Latitude D410 and i am getting the sims 3 soon. I've heard the sims 3's graphics are too..."good" to work on my computer. Will it work? or will i need to get a new video card? or should i just not get the sims 3? PLZ REPLY

Ok now is the time to buy a Dell D420. Ex-lease ones are being sold on ebay, etc.. for around the £200/$300 mark. Grab one and stick in a Kingspec 1.8" 64GB SSD, which is also available on ebay. Once thats done, do a complete install of XP and you will have a shit fast ultra portable that would compare to current laptops retailing at the £1000/$1500 mark.

You'll probably have to get a new battery along with it. I got a 6-cell for $41 on eBay. Compare that to $140 from Dell.

the d420 is an impressive laptop, the speed might not be lightning but it gets the job done and is ultra portable, I love it to death, I have a vid of mine in my channel check it if you want.

I just bought this d420 laptop. I cant wait for it, I am going to love it, its truely a portable laptop. I think the laptops out these days are more like slightly portable desktop, a true portable laptop should weight next to nothing and not carry a huge 14 inch screen. Plus this is made for wifi galore, its a magnificiant machine, plus a dual core, are you kidding me?

Good job that the Latitude notebook was designed with a Titaium structure, otherwise hitting it on the table would seriously damage it! :)

The D420 is fantastic. I leased 5 for my traders so they can VPN to their desktop to monitor their positions on their commute.
