@candyrayne215 Possibly. I think The Beatles kept a lot of groups from being more popular, at the time. It was hard to compete, with the " Fab Four " !
Just came from a Turtles concert, tonight 2-25-12 in Staten Island, NY. These guys still got it, they did a great job with their old stuff and even did a few Zappa songs. Great show, great sound!

It has become popular in youtube comments to tell what song topped the billboard when they were born. This one is best happyland tune from the time of my birth. Pure vintage happyland from the music libraries of Marble Heaven.
Who cares if their lip synching at least they still sound great to me,great performance, anyway ,love them.. get over your crap ,you really dont get it ..a fan always..
@Hopffnung those times were pretty radical...some really tragic events came to pass, but also some truly amazing things too, a horrible war was ended,, and some incredible music was created.....it wasn't all bad by any means
@edwinf9999 I was thinking the same thing. On the one hand...I love watching these old variety hour shows and seeing the bands play...but on the other...I hate the fact the hollywood producers made them all lip-synch.
Now this was before my time (42) but did the average viewing public notice...or were we not sophisticated enough yet? LOL
I was 13 years old when this song came out.I couldn't wait to grow and leave home. Now 44 years later,"Happy Together" is still a great song.I miss the 60's and 70's.Russ
@doobiebro76 Yea, good times. The music was great, the pot was weak, clothes were funny and we were becoming mired in Viet Nam and Nixon in the Oval office. The time sucked some too, I was happy, young and in love with a beautiful girl, and then, ended up with 18 months in Viet Nam. The one thing that kept me together during that time was the music. Yup, it says a lot for the artists of those days to have produced some of the best music EVER. IMHO, btw.
@Postie218 ,great times back in the 60's and 70's,I was in Okie (Japan) in May of 75 in the Marines. My wife is from Finland (been there 5 times) I've told her it was crazy here in the USA during 60's Viet Nam time, protesters and Nixon. If you have any issues at all, remember you can always go to the VA.One more thing,I always enjoyed smoking a doobie with "Dark Side of The Moon"( Pink Floyd ) on and with the head phones adjusted just right. My flight was great if you know what mean?
@485zombiestomp Yup, know well what your saying. My tour was "fairly" easy. Not really a combat tour, I spent most of my time at Da Nang, but it was tiring and it sucked the big one all of the time. My favorite "ride" was The Doors, "Weird Scenes Inside The Gold Mine". Any way, always good to chat with a fellow Vet. Cheers.
Didn't the spectators realized that theres no possibilty for the band to sing...theres no microphone?! The whole show is double tracking. What a shame.

When the 2 singers joined Frank Zappa and the Mothers of Invention as Flo & Eddie, a band I was in opened for them in Orlando. That was an intense change from their early days. Where are they (Flo & Eddie) now?
From what I understand, this will be one of Jim Tuckers last performances with the band, He will quit the band and music all together after being publicly insulted by John Lennon while on a promo tour in England...I guess being told by a Beatle you cant play guitar messed his mind up....

I thought this was excellent quality. It seems the maximum resolution I can get is 240, the minimum. I like the song, but quit the false advertising.

@rethman1 It was a problem with the flash player. I installed an older version of Creative Suite and it changed the version of Flashplayer to an older version.

@johnnystaccata Either it's your computer or you're a very young dude used to seeing everything in today's HD. Do you realize this video is from 1967 TV? No false advertising on SixtiesPopGold's part whatsoever. The video IS excellent quality for its time, had to be restored to GET it to this quality. Check out other 60's videos and you'll understand. My hat's off to you SixtiesPopGold. EXCELLENT quality!

@jackalbill Thanks! It's also uploaded from an official DVD, so I guess Rhino used the master tapes.
