  • Nah dude, that was no mock attack. It was just gently passing by. You will see it trumpeting with ears flapping and a lot of dust when it mock attacks you

  • It's musth not must, and that elephant wasn't in musth, his temporal glands on the side of his face weren't leaking.

  • elephant feet look so spongey :)

  • GENTLE GIANT...BEAUTIFUL CREATURE

  • man you guys are crazy! he could've stabbed your hearts out through the car, i would've been long gone as soon as he got close

  • locking the doors at 0:11 ? it's not a carjacker!

  • i cant believe you just stopped there.

that elephant could have easily flipped the vehicle.

  • did they lock the doors? ROFL. what the hell is that gonna do?

  • The elephant is high!!!

  • Also s Türe abschlüsse isch ja de hammer.. xD

Er chunt zwar dahere gluffe, wie en gangster, aber er chlat ned üches auto..

  • That's not a charge, that's an elephant displaying curiosity but walking on.

  • I was hoping he would crush your car like a coke can or at least take a big elephant dump on your bonnet.

  • SSSSsssshut uP!

  • Now I would have had a heart attack right there......It's like jurassic park only with elephants!

  • biomanzilla - Thats exactly what I was thinking lol.

  • Why wasn't the engine on, just in case.

Just noticed the pines, I guy thats why the woman was laughing. I bet she wanted to suck it:D

  • That'd seriously feel like Jurassic Park right there lol.

  • What does it mean an elephant is in must?

  • In must means: the animal is aroused and in a state to copulate with another animal.

  • Actually that means a male elephant is in 'mating mode' elepants in must are usally more aggresive (they have to be or they can't win themselves a mate) and piss massively

  • It's common sense, as a kid, I was never told that elephants will charge when in heat. I take myself, for instance, when I'm jerking off, and my parents come in the room, I get angry, and have to start over again. Same scenario.

  • LMAO!!!

  • @20Z9 must actually means like an intoxicating mood that has control over you

  • @sikhrajputsingh Thanks

  • @20Z9 in other words it is trying to lose its virgintiy so it doesnt want u to disrupt its fuck session

  • @icekillertony Thanks

  • @20Z9 It's not must. It's musth, a periodic sex urge in bull elephants.

  • You two are brave souls.

  • that must've been cool...seeing an elephant that close up

  • You are lucky that this bull was not in musth. Dont take chances with animals if you dont know their behaviour.

  • wow people who in the car must feel amazing when they see the elephant coming toward. elephant's cool

  • yes the elephant is gonna open your door, not squash your car

  • locked the doors? what you thought it was gonna car jack you? stupid tourists.

  • Hahahaha

  • Beautiful ele.

  • hAhahahahahhah at 11 seconds someone locks the doors. HAHAHAHAHA , did they think he was going to make an attempt at the handle?

  • [: really..LMAO

  • Not German? No, but just because you were neutral in the war doesn't mean to say the elephants won't get you. Also that horrid laugh is not appropriate or attractive. The elephant could easily have tipped the car over which at least would have put an end to that childish Schweitzerdeutsch babble!

  • Wow, the elephant looks beautiful, how impressive!

  • stupid german tourists!!

  • Sorry to disappoint you: we are NOT Germans

    :-)))

  • ok sorry, let me rephrase. stupid german speaking tourists!!

  • Again a correction: this is a Swiss dialect that might sound like German. However, the German people do not understand us.

And: Switzerland has been an independent country since the year 1291. We never liked to be governed by others. That's why we are somewhat sensitive to comparisons like yours.

  • oh shame. the swiss are sensitive little people. get some nuts.

  • Jeez they were brave to just sit there.

  • He looked kind of friendly. If it was another elephants by God!

  • Man, tooooo close for comfort. What if it did sometinng crazy and atacked the car like other elephants on youtube??? 4 Tonnes vs 1.5.

  • hehe, mo ehrlich sägä, ich chönt nid so locker bliibä wiä ihr!! :)

  • never seen an elephant in the wild. Seeing an elephant this close must be cool though - The scandinavian :P

  • Right, it was really cool. Initially we were quite scared though...

  • Grüezi. Danke for putting "mock charge". By the way, there's another swiss guy posting vid's of wild nature in Africa, he's a photographer. My father was from Zug.

  • Looks like the scenes from Jurassic Park! Its coming, its coming! LOL!

  • yea loool

  • I'll be surprised if that elephant even noticed you. I've been charged several times (My family owns a game farm. We've been charged in the dead of night when we rounded a bush and nearly drove into a whole breeding herd of elephants.

  • Thanks for your input.

Well it sure looked to us that he was turning directly towards our car. But we were told by local people that most of these charges are just "practice charges" for young male elephants: too much testosterone I guess!

  • I love elephants ^^ but giraffes more lol, by the look of it, it looked like it was just waving its trunk at you lol

  • lol nice reaction crazy elephant? lol

  • Some of these young male elephants can go crazy. They need to prove their strength much like young male humans do when they fight each other on the street. So we were quite lucky this elephant did not flip over our little car ;-))) .

  • Hehe, as if locking the doors would have helped if he attacked :P

  • You are right :-) One of my sons locked the doors by reflex. The elephant would not have found the handle to open the door!

However: we were warned that elephants love oranges and when they smell them in a car they will go through any opening with their snout and grab them. Of course we did not have any on board.

Addo Elephant Park was the place, by the way.

    Thank you for your comment!

  • Even though my family is laughing in our little car as you can hear, we were truly frightened. That young male wanted to impress us. Sure did! We were told to have reacted well. If we had backed up with the car the elephant would have become more violent. So: just sit tight and wait .... THANKS FOR WATCHING and please inform your friends about this video clip.
