i have a question: do Andalusians make good jumpers? i know you're really good, but i mean as a breed. i am looking into buying my own horse (after several months of leasing) and i found an awesome horse! he is a Andalusian/QH mix and was wondering if he could jump well?

@jumper12397 It really depends on the horse. There are the andalusians that can jump really well, and there are the ones that can't, just like with many other breeds. Generally andalusians are not well known as great jumpers, If you're planning on doing hunters, I wouldn't recommened it, but jumpers I guess.. It really does depend on the horse though!

i quit doing h/j when i realized it wasn't good horsemanship. in dressage there is a better connection with horse and rider. hunters is just crappy riders on quiet horses over 8 fences in a straight line.

your really not using your body to ride properly get your hands forward, heels down, stit up, and support your horse over the fence.. remember its better to add strides than to run through them

i love your horse! but you use a lot of body over the jumps, you dont need to be so close to your horses neck. you also have your hands pretty low down.
