This film is ridiculously unrealistic... Why wouldn't there be a single Persian that doesn't get torn apart instantly? Why would they keep rushing into the Spartans if they all obviously die? Additionally: There were about 3,000 other greeks in this battle. And those mythical creatures are just exaggerated.

May I add that all this makes the movie AWESOME? For Sparta!!! =D

@tsounamis8 Astronomy didn't solely come from Greece, same with Mathematics, which first appeared mostly in Egypt and Babylonia. Unless you count ancient Sumeria as part of Greece, they don't have much claim on democracy either there either. And even the most arrogant of people won't claim that almost every important thing society wise everything came from this one specific location on the planet.

Other cultures had already come up with basic mathematics as far back as 35,000 BC. Sure ancient greeks improved on it, but then again we're still improving mathematics and astronomy today.
