it's kinda funny that they focus on alexi the whole time, because he's playing the easy stuff and doesnt get all the notes, while the other one does the solo violin.

I made a version on my channel too, with not only strings and cembalo but also drums (a lot double bass :P) and riffing guitars in the background, where i play the notes of the solo violin, would like to hear your opinions ;)

Dude! They are covering an entire orchestra, albeit with the help of MIDI controllers. Each string of the guitars was assigned to a slightly different string sound... violins, violas, cello and bass. This is a challenging piece for an orchestra, and here two virtuoso metal guitarists prove that music is much more than just one genre, or style.

The part that Roope is playing. There is a harmony on the 3rd. Roope has no other cabinet. Two separate outputs are required for a harmony this clean.

There's gotta be a violin backing track with the click. If you have any info that its not, I'm all ears but the parts in the song that are harmonized and the fact that Roope has only one cabinet give it away for me.

It come from a DVD and I know these guys are no liars. If there's something that with them, they have certainly notice that on the DVD.

Furthermore, the sound have to be much clearer on the DVD. Here we are discuting over MP3-sound and we know it isn't the best one !

So, we cannot have the answer... We have to wait someone who got the DVD or, maybe, ask Alexi or Roope themselves...

@MegaCPC Allthough i was froced into this playing...Dorian and Mixolydian are modes of the major scale. By modes I mean that they have the same notes as the major scale but start and finish in a different place. Dorian starts on the 2nd degree of the major scale, D is the 2nd degree of the C major scale, so D Dorian is the notes of the C major scale starting and finishing on D. Mixolydian is the 5th degree, so the notes of C major starting and finishing on G is G mixolydian.

Roope is not playing a midi violin triggered with his guitar. It is difficult to split them in your mind if you don't play guitar, but there are clearly two guitars as well as two string parts. Probably next to impossible with this youtube video. I have the DVD so the sound is a little more defined and easier to get inside.
