A lot of pageant moms are like this.. THEY want to be one.. When have you ever seen a pageant mom who is super thin and beautiful..or just even beautiful. Half of them don't even put on makeup or brush their hair.. And they want it so bad for themselves that they let their children even be monster-ish as long as they get on that stage! Ridiculous. They should do it if they want and work on themselves physically etc if they want to be a beauty queen. Children aren't a dog show!!

I think this is something that people are always going to have differing opinions about. There are a lot of really really great professional athletes who are good at what they do because of their parents (aka the Bob and Mike Bryan the tennis twins) and I do think it´s better to have a skill then some of my friends who used to play video games for 6 hours every day... but 2 hours a day in the flordia heat?!

Yeah I was never good enough for my mom either. People warned her to back off, but I was her special snowflake. When she finally realized I was worthless (by her criteria), everything came crashing in on her, and it was like I was the only child in the world to have ever failed her parents so badly.

I'm 15 and I do 1 hour of tae kwon do a day, 7 days a week. I do professional tae kwon do and I'm a 3rd dan black belt. I started when I was 4 and I wasn't pressured at all to do more. I was pressured to do less.

But if your a parent and your pressuring your kids like this STOP. There going to hate you later in life. Do you notice parents pressure their kids for perfection because they didn't have the same opportunity when they were kids?

@kuzaiverk I am from Canada. My school is a part of the WTF association though tkd. The rules could be different if you're school is though ITF association. It is possible though my school, when you get you're first degree, you have to wait 1 year until you have your second degree. (Or Poom) Then if you want to test for your 3rd degree you have to wait 2 years. Then 3 years to get your 4th degree and that is why I'm getting my 4th degree in 2 years when I'm 18. So long and so forth :)

I use to be a gymnast and my coach was so overbearing and pushed me to be perfect eventually I developed anorexia and I had to leave my gymnastic days behind me. Thankfully I am now recovered and have a much better coach we at least gives me a break..
