when it says to run the test cycle take out the dvd and then do it... same with when it says to update, take out the dvd. it will work trust me

it seems like its updated but when you try to play a recen game it wont work, it will be the same, as i know, its an internal problem that message and you should fix that in order to do the update.

needs to be DVD, not a CD.

i suggest getting a DVD+RW, as you can reuse them. good for newbies like you, and me for when ya make mistakes.

Exactly the same problem here, eject trick doesnt work - I do everything right, it seems to be updated correctly (first test, than update - both seems to cbe ok), but it doesnt really do anything. I tried about everything and nothing works. Seems some wiikey users simply cant get their wiikey updated to 1.9s :-(

I know how to get it working.

DON'T use multigame. just burn the iso straight file to a dvd as is using e.g. poweriso particularly since nero detects the update as a CD.

yo i got wiikey and it loads all my other burnt and original games except origin brawl. any help? im guessin that since brawl spins the fastest the wiikey forces it to spin 6x, can i take that off and let the wii spin at watever speed it wants?

you have to update to 1.9s and use the config disc 1.4 and set speed to 4x and then if it doest work ur disc is screwed so buy a cheap dual layer dvd+ and burn ssbb

still you have to update to 1.9s and set speed to 4x on 1.4 config disc and if it still dosent work then your original is bad soo rubb it with alcohol and clean your wii drive somehow use disc with brushes and then if it dosent burn a homebrew one from online get a cheap dual dvd +

"check your connections" means that the solder that is keeping your wiikey connected to your wii dvd drive is loose or not strong enough. so get your wiikey checked out

i need help i burned ssbb on 1x it worked fine but whenever i start it says error 001 unauthirized device found i try to set settings on real new config 1.4 to on for dev and no updates from disk but everytime i restart it gos back to off

ive got the final answer! anyway it worked for me. Use the imgae but not with multiple gcos. only use the update and not both including conifg disc.

also make sure u have good ds and good quality burner

No need to buy new drive. just eject the disc before it says press a to begin testing. then when it is done it will say succsefull.

i bought a new lite on drive 24x dvd and 48x cd with lightscribe and burned it on 2.4x using imgburn software and it worked fine i installed the update and now am enjoying playing super smash bros brawl i downloaded dual layer usa thanks for the advice

1 other question. Is it possible to use a downloaded action replay for gc on a modded wii? i have 1.08 and 1.14. Thx in advance

you should use a good software to burn the setup disk

Maybe you need to re-burn the update. Slower burning speed usually solve the problem. That's what happen to me too with Super Smash Bros Brawl game backup. By the way, I don't use boot swap for update. If that doesn't solve, buy the high quality DVD burner drive. Cheap dvd burner could cause more errors.
