I LOVED Redwolf. The nose shouldve been black with red underbelly. It wouldve been cool to have redwolf stick around like John Bradford Horn. A few eps and always something breaks up the dogfight ( redwolf runs out of ammo n creates a diversion) etc. Wouldve been cool to see the bodyparts and actual visible deployed weapons. But for one episode it wouldnt have been worth cost. Also, what does everyone think would happen if the pilots were switched in aircraft?
I know i'm a total geek for noticing this, but if you look closely at the end where Airwolf II gets blown up, you'll see it's actually an different helicopter used in the shot. When it blows up you can see hellicopter skies but Airwolf II has wheels not skies
The helicopter is a Bell 222. AW2 looks so silly with that red nose. It looks like Rudolf with rotors!! Great for Christmas promotions but certainly not for a tough image assault helicopter. Its supposed to cost (in the series) a billion dollars. Id take it back and ask for my money back coz too many ppl laugh at me when I fly it with that big red nose. Original Airwolf anyday.
If you look carefully you see the red one here is actually "stock" - it has none of the "Airwolf" cowling - if anyone's curious what the model really looks like. You can see the doors into the passenger compartment etc. And the only turbine intakes are those of the engines.
Unexpectedly responsive, and a work of art, the 222. Hard to believe the design is well over 30 years old. I learned to fly on a Bell so I'll always have a soft spot for them.
Funny how the radio button triggers the machine guns. You'd be trying to trigger the runway lights and wipe out a row of Cessnas instead, lol. xD

Those maneuvers are difficult to pull off especially those zigzag motions in the intro.
