why the hell dose every one in america nowadays want a free lunch? it is fairly simple to make enough to pay your own health care. its called public schools, you fail out tough shit shoulda tried a bit harder and not wanted some one to hold your hand the whole way. at 21 with a hs diploma i pay my own health insurance. why? BC I DONT EXPECT ANY ONE ELSE TO. maybe im old school and believe you get what you work for and not what you ask for. american's are lazy nowadays
@nm9730 Thats depend on where you WORKS and your ABILITY to PAY! I am in the HEALTHCARE PROFESSION, I know for a FACT most of your MOM / DAD are in the NURSING HOME and MEDICAID fitting the BILL! Get REAL!
@rubymcfadden nope not even close.... ones 47 the other 52 neither is on medicaid. one gets it through his job my mom buys insurance. were i work its not part of my benifits. i pay like $120 a month it aint hard to pay for by any means
@nm9730 No i am not WRONG! You don't find PEOPLE in nursing homes with their own personal insurance, It's MEDICAID and MEDICARE! What company are you INSURED WITH for $120 a MONTH????? I PAYS @450 for two People! At your price the entire WORLD can AFFORD INSURANCE, Please pass along that COMPANY NAME!!!
@rubymcfadden anthem. and im a tobacco user. my grandpa went into a nursing home then a hostpice never had medicade medicare. he was by no means rich. spent 5 years in before he died of skin cancer. all my grandparents have private insurance. two of them thought about goin to medicare but found out that they will sieze property to help pay for the cost even if signed over to a family member within the last 5-10 years. didnt want to see that happen to their farm. stayed on a private plan
@nm9730 If you have a sudden Certain amount of Money or Property you want be able to get Goverment help ''That's True'' But most PEOPLE sell Mom / Dad homes and assets, Drain the bank accounts then place the in Homes! You are one in a Million, Because sees the old SWITCH and Bait GAME all the time!
I'm with Nolan, we Americans should be ashamed. As a young cancer survivor who is self employed I am stuck getting NO follow up care since losing my insurance in 2006. The right/wing nut response I get is "Oh well, you should have tried harder, you should have planned better, you must have been irresponsible." Real nice the way we Americans "support" each other isn't it?
I didn't think I'd be diagosed with cancer at age 34, and I was a non-smoker/non-drinker/organic eating health nut.
I read your post and I was very moved. The heartless Right will probably tell you "Tough Luck - Get a Job" or "If is your own fault for not winning the Capitalist game - so go ahead and die"
I guess until those who prefer Children and the poor to suffer without Health Care themselves get sick and loose their insurance we will not have change in the USA.
EVERYONE who is sick and in need SHOULD have help and compassion from their fellow citizens. Anything else is sadism.
You Americans are a Bloody Disgrace to the World. You should have had a National Health Service decades ago - now look what has happened.
I read the other day that 6 MILLION children in the USA have NO Health Insurance or access to a doctor!
Does that make you Yanks proud? Does that make you want to get out your Ratty Ass American flag and waving back and forth and sing "God Bless America".
You bent ass people. When will you wake up and see that your fellow citizens are suffering - Children!
@NolanRogers2 I agree that it is unacceptable for such a wealthy nation to allow any citizen to go without insurance. At the bare minimum, children should be insured without a second thought. However, generalizing that all Americans believe we should keep a private healthcare system is ignorant in itself. It's the result of a corrupt political system in which the Elite represent the minority.
I think we are on the same page with some things here.
But No. I think I have a valid point. Americans allow this system of racial and economic oppressioni to continue and thrive. They have the power to force their leaders to implement social change but they refuse.
The USA is NOT North Korea. The will of the people is still a powerful force for change.
we already have socialism in america, ust look at our public schools. public school is available to everyone for free, all that is needed is taxes by the surrounding people. wouldnt it be the same for healthcare?.....since when is it our duty to put a price on a humans life? as the insurence companies do.
The USA has the ... "BEST SPECIALISTS" ... but our Health Care System stinks and is ranked as the Low 37th on a World Scale !! It's like saying "THE USA WON THE MOST GOLD MEDALS IN THE OLYMPICS ... SO THE ENTIRE AMERICAN POPULATION IS MADE OF TOP ATHLETES !! When in reality we have an overweight & sick ...(cancer~heart diseases~diabetic)... population, compared to other nations. Don't buy into the Right-Wing propaganda. Visit my profile for ways in which you can contact your representatives.
"Our job" Means get off your ass, get a career, and pitch in for what you need in life.
"Easier to trust a politician" - Free stuff. Let some other bastard pay for it.
I always find it amazing how hard people cry about others not wanting to pay for their health care yet they have a cell phone plan (family) with unlimited text, cable/sat tv, and high speed internet. I always thought those were luxury items not life necessities.
Well the european model is up for taking, ah wouldn't that be the feared "socialism", the idea that every month you put money into insurance coverage and that those insurance companies are BOUND to serve.
Yeah wouldn't work in america as it is "socialism"
America is gone. We are now living in the Land of Greed, Home of the Self-Interested. Who cares, as long as we have "reality tv" it will be ok. I miss the 80's.
If America wishes to have a well cared for population in times of illness, then its doctors and nurses better get used to the idea of working for a pittance. But in reality I fully expect that if private American citizens or businesses can't cough up the cash for their high-cost health care, they just won't get it and then die an early agonizing death.
then you have to find one that does. or pays enough to buy your own. entry level jobs are just that entry level. how come 85% of people have health insurance? why should they give up there coverage for some unsustainable government plan? like say medicare(scary example), or the VA(even worse, shame on us!).
Find one that does? Do you have any idea how hard it is to find a job period if you're a college student? Just finding any job right now is hard enough - I've put in 23 applications in the past month. Not one interview.
Even if I did manage to find one, there's no way in hell a part-time job would pay benefits. Much less pay me enough to afford 1k+ a year private insurance on top of tuition/fees, gas, and car payment.
So yeah, screw us college students. Not like we're the workers of tomorrow.
"So yeah, screw us college students. Not like we're the workers of tomorrow. " Hilarious. According to my insurance company, I can keep my kids on my plan until they are 25 as long as they are in school.
So if you can't afford the insurance, and your parents can't cover you, somehow this is my "job"? I have to cover this? Nice.
Look, in case you didn't know, not all parents have insurance. Thus, not all college students have insurance from their parents.
The current system is broken. Unfortunately, morons like yourself can't see the obvious flaws. Just wait until you don't have coverage and need surgery. See how it feels to writhe in agony with something that a 30 minute surgery could fix.
But that's okay. It's not like people like myself matter. After all, we don't need healthy students that will lead tomorrow.
Last time I checked, colleges have been offering insurance to the students. Matter of fact, a bunch of us pushed for that. I consider it "protecting" my investment (that would be the student).
The current system is broken? Ask your government why. They helped create it. No tort reform. No cap on malpractice insurance. No control over illegal immigrants. Half your Congress is in the pockets of Health Industry. Like Dodd.
I want to fix what needs to be fixed. Not give you a free ride.
College insurance isn't free. It costs around 1k+(minimum) per year on top of tuition and fee, costs of books, etc. There's a limit on how much student loan money you can take out based on FAFSA results.
And what exactly am I supposed to do about the government fucking me over? Write letters? Yeah, they sure have read what I wrote them...hah.
You call it a free ride. I call it investment. Student insurance should be free. Not all of us have rich daddies to hand us cash.
I know that. I took 50k out in FAFSA loans. Somewhere along the line you are going to have to get a part time job and put aside what you need. I am sorry. I didn't have a rich dad. I joined the military and had them pay what I needed. Took out additional loans. Now I am looking at my Master's and probably will take another loan. Either or, health care is your responsibility. Like owning a car. Insurance doesn't cover gas, maintenance, and oil changes.
You couldn't get a part time job to make an extra grand a year? C'mon you could make that pickin up cans
There was a time in this country that if people wanted something they worked for it. You could make an extra K working a few weekends a year or during Christmas or Summer breaks.
Why dont you quit waiting on someone else to take care of you and take control of your own future?
Heh, I can't even get a job at a freaking retail store or fast food. 30ish applications last month at places like Target and Burger King. Not a *single* interview.
Of course, I guess some people don't understand how hard it is to find low-end jobs during a recession. That is, after all, what people without a degree qualify for.
Create a job for yourself. Go by businesses that dont recycle their pallets, pick em up and sell them back to a local pallet company. Start detailing cars. Mow lawns. Clean up construction job sites. I can come up with a few thousand examples just like this.
My motto is "a good hand always has a job, a bad hand always has an excuse why he doesn't"
What are you majoring in, poetry?
If you have so little imagination and initiative, the government is going to have a hard time collecting that loan
Don't you dare diss poetry when the The Messiah got elected throw a mixture of poetry and nursery rhymes (The Little Engine That Could inspiring "Yes, we can! Yes, we can! Yes, we can!").
And why can't the "artists" among us indulge our "creativity" with the support of those who actually have income thus SHOULD pay more taxes to finance all the government programs designed to support everyone else? It is selfish to refuse to help those who have no income because they're busy being "creative".
this is an attempt by the left wing to be our nannies, and get revenge for years of supposed wrongs. when it was there mistakes that have caused us so much heart ache. think on the fair housing act.
forrest0-Bush caused a lot of this heart ache not the fair housing act.10 billion a month in Iraq dwarfs any housing issue. Did the fair housing act cause Enron 2 fold?Did it make Madoff(sp)take all that money. The structure of the loans caused the problem not the purchase of a house. people have lost homes before. Foreclosure did not just start this year,it has been around for a while. What about the million that Bush air dropped in Iraq that disappeared? How about the missing billions in Defense?
@jjrglobal dumbass? Classic case of someone that feels so bad about themselves, they have to attempt to degrade another. U have some internal issues that need to be addressed. BTW, I said 10 billion a month, so what r u talking about? You missed the point. We are spending billions on a war we were lied into, which means it is money we never had to spend. The war is not producing money for America, it only takes. The housing issue can not even touch that kind of waste.
Ohhh well allow me to retort, at ten billion a month it would take 83 years to equal what the housing crisis has cost the US. Do you need a calculator? We have dumped more than ten trillion into the open market to attempt to rescue our entire financial system and we still don't know if it can be saved. The war is peanuts in comparison. Don't get the wrong idea, I'm against the war too, but not because of the costs in dollars, the costs in lives on both sides is what bothers me.
@jjrglobal Again u missed the point. The housing market is not the entire financial system. You are forgetting other markets that have contributed to this economic melt down. The housing market is just the scapegoat. U can buy those lies if u want to, but I suggest u look a little deeper.
At gunpoint means the government has the ability to use deadly force to compel me to pay my taxes. A group of people who cannot afford health insurance, however they can afford a cell phone plan and eat out every day while watching cable tv, is trying to use the force of government to increase my taxes to give it to them under threat of bodily harm. Do you not understand this. Again, there is no such thing as "FREE". You are no capitalist, not with this slobbering love of government.
ur paranoid & stereotyping cus you really dont know
"use deadly force"
you are telling me this because?
government is for the things that you cant trust to private companies
its a short list
and unlike you guys, i have faith in my government because even tho they screw up sometimes, they are generally looking out for me & not pissing me off
if you dont trust your government, then no plan will help you. you are screwed
Maybe your government "looks" out for you. Ours is more interested in securing power and lining their pockets with as much pork as they can get. They are in the pockets of lobbyists and special interest groups. I am glad you don't have that problem.
Lol. Well living in Hurricane country, stockpiles of food and fuel is always a good thing. It may come to a head one day, who knows. Maybe the blessing with Cap and Tax is that everyone is going to feel the pain. One thing about the welfare peeps, they don't like pain. They like free money. Take it away, we might see a revolt. It would be interesting to see the Dems run out by their very own people via pitchforks and torches.
All you've talked about is improvements in claims processing technology.
The magical elimination of lawyers by freeing markets that you have proposed is a little bit of hand waving, but then we sort of got used to that with 30 years of Reaganite fantasizing. Also, if you live in Sweden or anywhere else you can still get the best doctors if you can afford it. More propaganda from the insurance lobby and AEI that you will be forced to give everything up because of the commies.
Jesus H. Christ. What part of government offering baseline fucking insurance did you not get? What part of private sector offering supplementals did you not get. I am turning over the health care industry to the government. These stupid bastards can't run a fucking train company right in 40 years and got bit for 80 billion in fraud last year alone in medicaid/care.
Also, tell me something, I am curious. Why do you feel health care or the bills incurred are NOT your responsibility but others?
Speaking of propaganda, aside from Ken Baucus, every player trying to fuck us over, UHC wise, either sits on Board of Directors of the health insurers or has relatives on it. Nice to know they are looking out for us, eh? Personally, if you want to live, be prepared to pay the cost for it. Nothing is free, no matter how much you want it. Nothing in my Constitution says I am indebted to you or owe any part of my earnings. I don't appreciate being made your slave.
SO what is your plan? Push the private sector out of offering insurance because nobody can complete with government in terms of operating at a loss, right? So, I would be beholden and begging, no less, a bureaucrat to approve my treatment, right? If he doesn't, then my option is to do what? I have no way of getting rid of the government plan. I will have to appeal the decision to God, knows how many levels of bureaucracy. And I may not be able to sue for my treatment. (cont)
So I am interested in hearing this grand plan of yours. Will we be taking care of the illegals as well with my tax dollars? Will you be nationalizing the drug companies in order to force them to provide drugs at a loss. I am really curious how you plan on providing coverage, at gunpoint, to 300 million people and not fuck it up or fuck the taxpayers. So please tell me your plan.
Simple Answer: Votes and the steering of this country to a one party system. Take a good look at Obama's objection to what happened in Honduras. Think about what he said there and compare it to what he said with the Iranian protesters.
Based on the fact they all closed and cited that as a reason. Anything else? Only the poor, illegal, and uninsured use the ER the way they do. In fact, Ahnold tried to alleviate that mess by having 24 hour clinics with nurses instead of doctors. The legislature in their infinite wisdom decided that would be too easy.
This is not just a quote from a former business mogul. New science has provided ample evidence that what you attribute to your own ability and hard work has far more to do with snowballing of small fortunate events early in your life and elements far out of your control. I realize you've had certain tenets drilled into your sad little brain when you were a child. Hard work is, of course, a better way of maximizing such early luck events, but by no means is it a guarantee.
Is this the new liberal excuse on why the rich should be soaked for every dime they have? Because they were lucky and the unlucky deserve a chance at being lucky even though they never took advantage of the chances that luck threw their way? Wonderful. I can see why Obama won.
some people are BORN unable to work" And I fully support putting a bullet in their skulls to maximize retention of resources and minimize expenditures.
yep. Because contributing to society is akin to being a parasite as opposed to a welfare mom who had 5 babies with 5 different men who obviously has so much to offer and thus is not a parasite. Got it. So liberal version of hard work: parasite and luck. Liberal version of failure and sloth: Successful and contributing. Thanks!
You have to much faith in humanity. I don't. Maybe you should not worry about me reading but actually step out of that little utopian world you live in and see reality. That situation you described? Happened. End result? Fraud charges were placed because the welfare mommy claimed she was a daycare center and was taking the city to the cleaners. Anything else, O'postle?
Nope. Welfare mommy got paid. A lot. You know, for a capitalist, you sure trust the government to know what is good for you. No capitalist I know ever trusts the government the way you do.
Bread. The government here mandated we used Ethanol fuel mix. That in turn raised the price of corn. Which in turn raised the price of every other commodity including wheat, which is used for, bread. So fuel costs went up, meaning transport costs went up, and our food prices went up 35% if not more across the board. You're right, we don't our bread from the government. We just paid the government another tax upon a tax to have that bread.
Maybe you should try reading some yourself. They are wanting to tax my health benefits to fund this piece of shit. That is an extra tax. Higher tax. Got it? Good.
I don't trust any government who thinks they know how to spend my money better than me or how I should live. Period. No government should be able to tell me what I can eat, drink, if I want a cigar to smoke, or what I should say or not say. If I want foie gras, then I eat foie gras. If I like transfat and the FDA has no problem with it, then serve it to me. If I want to smoke in a cigar store or smoke shop, let me be. I voted to be governed. Not ruled. Not micro managed.
I dunno. When is that rocket taking off to your little utopian world where the sun never sets, and everyone gets free unicorns and the clouds are cotton candy. Just to be clear, do I get a free house and car too? I mean since you want us to have "free" health care, I want a "free" home, and a "free" car with "free" energy and gas too!
Liberals: Taxing the life out of America since Jimmy Carter.
see, you are so hung up on this liberal bashing that you forget to think
its only healthcare bud, where is this 'utopian' stuff you are talking about
most everything is just the same in canada, angland, france & amerika.. this hyperbole is only proving how little you know about the world & how it works
You know what? I am really tired of your insults and you "know it all" attitude. I would like nothing more than to bash your fucking 'holier than thou" skull" in and then see what your "adorable" health care system will do for you. My money is on: They let you die. Your shit isn't perfect and to be frank, you are a fucking liar about your system and it's greatness. If it is great, I wouldn't be flooded with Canadians trying get treatment here. That includes your politicians.
And you are partisan hack. If you truly wanted to fix health care you would demand that our government give us an exact mirror of FEHB. We don't need to argue all about any of this. What is good for the Senate and the Feds is good for us. Give us a mirror of that plus supplementals. Very simple. Unless you are a partisan hack who thinks you need more of my money to make a mountain out of a molehill?
I'm certainly not a partisan hack. Your point about demanding that people get the same health coverage as people in UNIONS is absolutely inane.
It took me a long time to develop a stance on health care. I don't like Michael Moore. If all you care about is mimicking the propaganda of the American Enterprise Institute, a think tank that receives hundreds of thousands of dollars from insurance companies to produce "research," you're a fool.
I hate the unions and Moore right with them. However what is good for the Federal Government should be good for us. This is bullshit that I need to dismantle the entire health care system for a bunch of illegal aliens and 20 million yambags, half of whom CHOSE not to get health care because they would rather blow that 200 bucks on drinks and hookers.
Simple solution to this problem: Repeal the 1900 mandates. Cap the torts and reign in the trial lawyers. Set up a public option that mirrors FEBH. Allow the public to maintain their own health files "without" government nosing around and taking ownership of it. Allow transition from Employers to FEBH for basic care while allowing you to purchase extra layers of coverage custom designed for your needs. What is hard about this?
How do you prevent private corporations from using trial lawyers to make sure they don't have to pay for all the services you need.
Jesus Christ, haven't you ever met a person that's had problems with their insurance before in a time of medical emergency? On one hand you are saying that we need to have complete privatization, on the other you are saying that private companies do not have the right to protect their assets from fraud.
Ok, my call for a mirror of FEHB to be provided by the government got translated into "complete" privatization". Outstanding.
You purchase your initial line of insurance through the Feds, like you do flood insurance. You setup a clearing house that handles all financial transactions between Fed, you, and the insurance carriers. Since, you believe, someone paying your bills is a God given right, fine. (cont)
the feds issue a coverage regardless of pre-existing conditions. That way, the trial lawyers are reigned in. Allow the plan to be ala carte. The insurance companies can provide enhanced coverage for advanced treatments, private rooms, better meals, drugs, whatever. Let the private market handle the pills. I doubt the government can beat WalMart in terms of price for generics. In the even the insurance company quibbles about payment (cont)
The baseline insurance automatically kicks in and handles the payment. The clearing house is the entity that handles matching the treatment and the cost and applies the payments accordingly. Any discrepancies is flagged and a justification request is sent to hospital or carrier for an explanation. I like the clearing house method because as a commodity trader this is how my trades are conducted at the end of the day. (cont)
The clearing house has a 99.9% record of accuracy every single day. This is doable for medical insurance to make government and private side work together. Since questionable payments will be not be honored with explanation or arbitration, the protection for fraud is in place. Paperwork can be eliminated in favor of a biometric medical card that can access your data anywhere in the world at any hospital by virtue of a single swipe.
So you get your wet dream of having your bills covered by 240 million Americans, costs lowered, and those of us who like our enhance treatment get to buy it and keep it. Like I do now.
And if this is successful, you can start working on the next phase with WSJ brought up. National Credit Cards. Everybody gets a credit card backed by the government. Can't pay it off? Not a problem. The taxpayers will take care of it. No need to deal with that pesky thing called personal responsibility.
Then we can move on to car insurance, and home insurance, and everybody deserves a house. So we can have National Home Centers. Free homes! Free mortgages because sometimes paying the bank is just way too much out of a paycheck. Not a problem. Government buys the homes and gives it to you. Now we are cooking. Ooh...we can hike the minimum wage to 40 bucks and hour and cap CEO pay at 100k a year. Level the playing field I think is the term. Hallelujah!
I watched a government bungle two wars. Fuck up a train company for 40 years. Screw over the bond holders for Chrysler, take over GM, blow 800billion in stimulus money that hasn't done jack, attempt to have Treasury dictate compensation package for Non-Tarp companies, force BoA to buy CW, and is attempting to give the Fed more power to oversee the financial industry even though it failed in that regard. And you want them to do what with health care? (cont)
With Obama, yes we are ruled. Hopefully, we will take care of that and undo the damage soon. You like being ruled, yes? Being told how to live, when to live? Good. Soon, you will told when to die. After all, nationalized health care will be for the young. Enjoy.
You should read the "real life" incident where a woman in Washington was told exactly that. You know, Washington state with their "universal health system". South Park isn't real life.
yet something more that we in switzerland are doing better then the US: our Healthcare System. It aint perfect, but it beats the american system by miles.
very sad. i also like the conservatives, such as the one below, who always complain about rich people paying more in taxes... why do they care so much about rich people? They are still rich once they pay their stupid taxes. damn.
1) Implement the FairTax system so everybody pays into the system, no exceptions and
2) I am able to purchase additional supplemental insurance.
I refuse to have my health care or my families rationed, or reduced so a some parasites who can get a cell phone plan and sign up for cable tv/digital phone/internet, get a free ride.
Numbers don't replace actual experience. Your experience may be that in a medium sized city, but I have friends in small towns in Canada where there is but one doctor and he is booked for months in advance.
Secondly, health insurance is like car insurance, it is your responsibility. It is not my responsibility to give it to you for "free". Not with you having cell phones, cable/sat tv, and high speed internet. Sorry, if you afford that, you can get insurance.
"I have friends in [...] in Canada where there is but one doctor and he is booked for months in advance."
Canada came in behind the USA with the longest waiting times. This is backed up by the "numbers." USA was 2nd to last in waiting times among industrialized countries. The difference is that Canadians pay less than 5% of their paychecks, whereas we pay over three times that. Canada is working on this issue.
*Canadians pay less than 5% of their incomes to healthcare, rather, and we pay over three times that.
Sweden and Japan have extremely low waiting times and pay far below what we do. One problem is that doctors overcharge Medicare. We also pay $1 to insurance companies, legal services and claims processing for every $1 we get in actual health services. This problem would dissolve overnight if we tried to learn from other nations with more efficient, semi-privatized health care systems.
I don't have a problem with that. I have an issue with people who spent 1/4 of their paycheck on "luxury" items that they do not need then come crying to the government about how they need "help" getting health insurance. I don't know about you, but humans got along fine for thousands of years without cell phones, cable tv, and the internet, and found a way to barter for health care. It is a matter of priorities.
the overcharging problem is massive.. ive just been looking into this & there are maps showing what care costs in each state..look em up
also, the `waitng lines`claim is garbage. for most everyday things there is no wait & for emergencies there are no waits.. those are the things you notice.. if you have to wait a bit for your elective surgery or something thats not urgent, big deal, its free.. AND if you are impatient you can always pay for private work
Also, the issue wasn't so much the wait time. The issue was the lack of available doctors. Seriously, who wants to go to med school and end up being a government lackey? Also, what is next? Car insurance? How many millions don't have car insurance? Should we be on the hook for that too? What about poor families with girls who never had a perm or highlights? Perhaps we should have National Hair Care Centers as well. It never stops with Dems trying to control our lives.
Who sets the compensation scale? Them or the government? If the government dictates their pay and schedule, then yes, they are government lackeys. Just because you have beaten "individualism" out of the average Canadian in favor of "collectivism" doesn't make what I said any less true.
I know the doctors are overbilling and they are skimming. We can fix that with a very simple tweak. Except I have a government of incompetent morons who see this as a power grab to stuff more goddamn money down their pants. Anytime a politician loves a plan, the taxpayer had better be ready to kiss his ass goodbye. When a politician hates a plan, then you are doing right. Half the morons putting our "health care plan" together have ties to industry and bank the big bucks.
What you don't understand is that this is a political power move. This is all about control. This is same government who had nationalized a company "temporarily" to help it and that company is still nationalized 40 years after the fact. AmTrak. The government cannot run AmTrak right. You think I want them telling me how to manage my health care? You are out of your mind.
Oh and the intelligent response is not to ask me to make my arguments more intelligent as a way of insulting me but to prove me wrong. Which you have failed to do.
sure you did, you consider canadian doctors to be lackys of the government & claimed that it would be inevitable to have "National Hair Care Centers" if the healthcare system became national
your hyperbole & lack of thought, interspersed with political party fingerpointing makes you a moron. dont like it? quit blaming "Dems"
The word is called "availability". Look it up sometime. What good is "free", I mean, taxpayer funded health care, if you don't have a doctor to get to because it isn't worth his time? Defeats the purpose doesn't it.
Also, we have a tort problem out here. Dems and their Trial Lawyer groups look at everything as a another lottery to be won. Cap malpractice and torts, cost go down. Get rid of the 1900 government mandate, costs go down.
"money grubbing doctors" yeah because people become doctors to work for free. Jesus, you must be one of those types who absolutely hate it when people make lots of money. Being a doctor requires years of schooling and residency. Their skills are needed and you call them "money grubbing"? Wow...I guess they should be paid a "fair" wage, right? Not what their skill commands, but what you think is fair? Another O'postle.
In addition at least with private care, I can switch plans at will. With government? Not a chance in hell. Who am I going to sue if they screw me? They have limited immunity. Government can do something private companies cannot: operate at a loss. I can kiss my insurance goodbye and I won't be able to purchase supplemental insurance because nobody is going to offer it. Regulate the companies, break them up, I don't really care. Just stay out of my health care.
Like I said, I know the companies are screwing us. Easy answer? Offer us what Feds use. Simple as that. What every Senator and Rep has. What every Federal employee has. Let us have it. Yet they won't do that. I wonder why. Why all this drama when the solution is right there in D.C. being used on a daily basis. So either my government is run by idiots or they want to nationalize the system and effect all sorts of health controls.
b) Is that "win" before they die or after the fact where it really doesn't matter?
Those idiots do not listen to us. If they did, we wouldn't be in Iraq. If these morons actually listened to us, I would have ICE teams across the nation gathering up the 12 million illegals instead of trying to give them free citizenship. If they listened they wouldn't pass the cap and tax or screw with GM/Chrysler/AIG or the stimulus. No. They don't listen.
b) yes its a win. look it up. seriously. often ppl are paid a bit in advance
again, whats the 2nd amendment for if you aint gonna use it?
the car companies should be allowed to fail. japanese cars are better anyway & the us should look ahead & create new industries instead of hanging onto low-tech & dirty ones
as for illegals, why not just let them in? you dont need any landscaping done?
Hey I was all for GM failing along with Chrysler. Now Fiat is going to get in this mess. Cap and trade is nothing more than a another tax to screw up industry.
I have prisoners that can be loaned out for landscaping. Send the illegals back.
A union is nothing but lackeys. They will either screw over their people or put them out of business. Take a look at the UAW. I didn't insult you, personally. You insulted me personally. You like your form of health care? Keep it. Enjoy it. We have far to many parasites here in this country and I will be damned if I give them another dime so they can keep their playstations, cell phones, etc... while I take food off my family's table.
And those countries with "nationalized' health care are rationing as well. I earn what I earn. I choose what I want, when I want it. I will not have my care or my family's care rationed.
Parasite? Me? I pay my taxes, asshole. More than the parasites and you. SO fuck off.
unions support workers rights & negotiate for their contracts. why would you want each individual to do it separately? and if you cant trust your own government, how are you going to trust corporations to be fair to their workers?
i dont know where you got this idea that care is 'rationed'.. did the NRA make a flyer?
people whos attitude is "im alright jack" are social parasites.. you are just lucky bub
"you are just lucky" Ahh the liberal mindset. No. I am not lucky. I worked hard. I went to school. I still go to school to keep my skills honed. I invest wisely and reap the rewards. That is not luck. That is ambition. The social parasites are the ones you call "unlucky". The ones with no ambition other than getting laid and claiming a welfare check. Don't insult my hard work by calling me lucky. If I win the lottery, then call me lucky.
Born healthy doesn't mean jack shit. I have 20 million if not more, healthy, people who have done nothing with their lives but leech off of others and make excuses for themselves. I make my own luck but I worked for what I have and I didn't leave my life to chance. So no, I did not win a lottery nor am I lucky. Disciplined? yes.
Entirely too much stress is put on the making of money. That does not require brains. Some of the biggest fools I know are the wealthiest. As a matter of fact, I believe that success is 95 percent luck and 5 percent ability. Take my own case. I know that there are any number of men in my employ who could run my business just as well as I can. They didnt get the breaks — thats the only difference between them and me.
— Julius Rosenwald, past president of Sears, Roebuck and Company
Yeah, passing Stats required me lucky. Hell making it out of college was pure luck. No hard work required. Just pure luck. And I guess because I am lucky, I should be fucking grateful and honored to pay for some unlucky bastard's health care. Right? This is where the conversation is going, right? The pitiful poor, who were too unlucky, not stupid, just unlucky to drop out of High School and was unlucky to be stuck at McDonalds for life. Jesus.
Look, prick. You want to live your life thinking you got lucky? More power to you. You feel you "owe" something to the "unlucky"? More power to you. I don't. Period. I don't owe them or you, squat. I earn my money for me, not you, not them. Keep your hands out of my wallet. EOD.
Look dude, whatever. You live in a fucking fantasy world where the government holds your hand cradle to the grave and everything is free and the "lucky" people should feel "honored" to pay for you. You can have that world.

NolanRogers2 1 year ago

If America wishes to have a well cared for population in times of illness, then its doctors and nurses better get used to the idea of working for a pittance. But in reality I fully expect that if private American citizens or businesses can't cough up the cash for their high-cost health care, they just won't get it and then die an early agonizing death.

then you have to find one that does. or pays enough to buy your own. entry level jobs are just that entry level. how come 85% of people have health insurance? why should they give up there coverage for some unsustainable government plan? like say medicare(scary example), or the VA(even worse, shame on us!).
forresta65 2 years ago
Find one that does? Do you have any idea how hard it is to find a job period if you're a college student? Just finding any job right now is hard enough - I've put in 23 applications in the past month. Not one interview.
Even if I did manage to find one, there's no way in hell a part-time job would pay benefits. Much less pay me enough to afford 1k+ a year private insurance on top of tuition/fees, gas, and car payment.
So yeah, screw us college students. Not like we're the workers of tomorrow.
Arcane587 2 years ago 3
"So yeah, screw us college students. Not like we're the workers of tomorrow. " Hilarious. According to my insurance company, I can keep my kids on my plan until they are 25 as long as they are in school.
So if you can't afford the insurance, and your parents can't cover you, somehow this is my "job"? I have to cover this? Nice.
TaipanofShangMagan 2 years ago
Look, in case you didn't know, not all parents have insurance. Thus, not all college students have insurance from their parents.
The current system is broken. Unfortunately, morons like yourself can't see the obvious flaws. Just wait until you don't have coverage and need surgery. See how it feels to writhe in agony with something that a 30 minute surgery could fix.
But that's okay. It's not like people like myself matter. After all, we don't need healthy students that will lead tomorrow.
Arcane587 2 years ago
Last time I checked, colleges have been offering insurance to the students. Matter of fact, a bunch of us pushed for that. I consider it "protecting" my investment (that would be the student).
The current system is broken? Ask your government why. They helped create it. No tort reform. No cap on malpractice insurance. No control over illegal immigrants. Half your Congress is in the pockets of Health Industry. Like Dodd.
I want to fix what needs to be fixed. Not give you a free ride.
TaipanofShangMagan 2 years ago
College insurance isn't free. It costs around 1k+(minimum) per year on top of tuition and fee, costs of books, etc. There's a limit on how much student loan money you can take out based on FAFSA results.
And what exactly am I supposed to do about the government fucking me over? Write letters? Yeah, they sure have read what I wrote them...hah.
You call it a free ride. I call it investment. Student insurance should be free. Not all of us have rich daddies to hand us cash.
Arcane587 2 years ago
I know that. I took 50k out in FAFSA loans. Somewhere along the line you are going to have to get a part time job and put aside what you need. I am sorry. I didn't have a rich dad. I joined the military and had them pay what I needed. Took out additional loans. Now I am looking at my Master's and probably will take another loan. Either or, health care is your responsibility. Like owning a car. Insurance doesn't cover gas, maintenance, and oil changes.
TaipanofShangMagan 2 years ago
You couldn't get a part time job to make an extra grand a year? C'mon you could make that pickin up cans
There was a time in this country that if people wanted something they worked for it. You could make an extra K working a few weekends a year or during Christmas or Summer breaks.
Why dont you quit waiting on someone else to take care of you and take control of your own future?
jjrglobal 2 years ago
I would love to have a job. Got one for me?
Heh, I can't even get a job at a freaking retail store or fast food. 30ish applications last month at places like Target and Burger King. Not a *single* interview.
Of course, I guess some people don't understand how hard it is to find low-end jobs during a recession. That is, after all, what people without a degree qualify for.
Arcane587 2 years ago
Create a job for yourself. Go by businesses that dont recycle their pallets, pick em up and sell them back to a local pallet company. Start detailing cars. Mow lawns. Clean up construction job sites. I can come up with a few thousand examples just like this.
My motto is "a good hand always has a job, a bad hand always has an excuse why he doesn't"
What are you majoring in, poetry?
If you have so little imagination and initiative, the government is going to have a hard time collecting that loan
jjrglobal 2 years ago 2
Don't you dare diss poetry when the The Messiah got elected throw a mixture of poetry and nursery rhymes (The Little Engine That Could inspiring "Yes, we can! Yes, we can! Yes, we can!").
And why can't the "artists" among us indulge our "creativity" with the support of those who actually have income thus SHOULD pay more taxes to finance all the government programs designed to support everyone else? It is selfish to refuse to help those who have no income because they're busy being "creative".

forrest0-Bush caused a lot of this heart ache not the fair housing act.10 billion a month in Iraq dwarfs any housing issue. Foreclosure did not just start this year,it has been around for a while. What about the million that Bush air dropped in Iraq that disappeared? How about the missing billions in Defense?
123bigr 2 years ago 2
No, Trillion is more than billion, so 2 billion a month for 500 years would be about the same as the housing issue, dumbass.
jjrglobal 1 year ago
@jjrglobal dumbass? Classic case of someone that feels so bad about themselves, they have to attempt to degrade another. U have some internal issues that need to be addressed. BTW, I said 10 billion a month, so what r u talking about? You missed the point. We are spending billions on a war we were lied into, which means it is money we never had to spend. The war is not producing money for America, it only takes. The housing issue can not even touch that kind of waste.
123bigr 1 year ago
@123bigr
Don't get the wrong idea, I'm against the war too, but not because of the costs in dollars, the costs in lives on both sides is what bothers me.
jjrglobal 1 year ago

Maybe the blessing with Cap and Tax is that everyone is going to feel the pain. One thing about the welfare peeps, they don't like pain. They like free money. Take it away, we might see a revolt. It would be interesting to see the Dems run out by their very own people via pitchforks and torches.
TaipanofShangMagan 2 years ago
All you've talked about is improvements in claims processing technology.
The magical elimination of lawyers by freeing markets that you have proposed is a little bit of hand waving, but then we sort of got used to that with 30 years of Reaganite fantasizing. Also, if you live in Sweden or anywhere else you can still get the best doctors if you can afford it. More propaganda from the insurance lobby and AEI that you will be forced to give everything up because of the commies.
Mangina9000 2 years ago
Jesus H.
TaipanofShangMagan 2 years ago
"/incurred are NOT your responsibility"
are you on crack?
Reggieworth 2 years ago
Speaking of propaganda, aside from Ken Baucus, every player trying to fuck us over, UHC wise, either sits on Board of Directors of the health insurers or has relatives on it. Nice to know they are looking out for us, eh? Personally, if you want to live, be prepared to pay the cost for it. Nothing is free, no matter how much you want it. Nothing in my Constitution says I am indebted to you or owe any part of my earnings. I don't appreciate being made your slave.
TaipanofShangMagan 2 years ago
SO what is your plan? Push the private sector out of offering insurance because nobody can complete with government in terms of operating at a loss, right? So, I would be beholden and begging, no less, a bureaucrat to approve my treatment, right? If he doesn't, then my option is to do what? I have no way of getting rid of the government plan. I will have to appeal the decision to God, knows how many levels of bureaucracy. And I may not be able to sue for my treatment. (cont)
TaipanofShangMagan 2 years ago
So I am interested in hearing this grand plan of yours. Will we be taking care of the illegals as well with my tax dollars? Will you be nationalizing the drug companies in order to force them to provide drugs at a loss. I am really curious how you plan on providing coverage, at gunpoint, to 300 million people and not fuck it up or fuck the taxpayers. So please tell me your plan.

Mangina9000 2 years ago
Based on the fact they all closed and cited that as a reason. Anything else? Only the poor, illegal, and uninsured use the ER the way they do. In fact, Ahnold tried to alleviate that mess by having 24 hour clinics with nurses instead of doctors. The legislature in their infinite wisdom decided that would be too easy.
TaipanofShangMagan 2 years ago
This is not just a quote from a former business mogul. New science has provided ample evidence that what you attribute to your own ability and hard work has far more to do with snowballing of small fortunate events early in your life and elements far out of your control. I realize you've had certain tenets drilled into your sad little brain when you were a child. Hard work is, of course, a better way of maximizing such early luck events, but by no means is it a guarantee.
Mangina9000 2 years ago

Bread. The government here mandated we used Ethanol fuel mix. That in turn raised the price of corn. Which in turn raised the price of every other commodity including wheat, which is used for, bread. Your shit isn't perfect and to be frank, you are a fucking liar about your system and it's greatness. If it is great, I wouldn't be flooded with Canadians trying get treatment here. That includes your politicians.

Mangina9000 2 years ago
And you are partisan hack. If you truly wanted to fix health care you would demand that our government give us an exact mirror of FEHB. We don't need to argue all about any of this. What is good for the Senate and the Feds is good for us. Give us a mirror of that plus supplementals. Very simple. Unless you are a partisan hack who thinks you need more of my money to make a mountain out of a molehill?
TaipanofShangMagan 2 years ago
"Unless you are a partisan hack"
I'm certainly not a partisan hack. Your point about demanding that people get the same health coverage as people in UNIONS is absolutely inane.
It took me a long time to develop a stance on health care. I don't like Michael Moore. If all you care about is mimicking the propaganda of the American Enterprise Institute, a think tank that receives hundreds of thousands of dollars from insurance companies to produce "research," you're a fool.
Mangina9000 2 years ago
I hate the unions and Moore right with them. However what is good for the Federal Government should be good for us. This is bullshit that I need to dismantle the entire health care system for a bunch of illegal aliens and 20 million yambags, half of whom CHOSE not to get health care because they would rather blow that 200 bucks on drinks and hookers.
TaipanofShangMagan 2 years ago
Simple solution to this problem: Repeal the 1900 mandates. Cap the torts and reign in the trial lawyers. Set up a public option that mirrors FEBH. Allow the public to maintain their own health files "without" government nosing around and taking ownership of it. Allow transition from Employers to FEBH for basic care while allowing you to purchase extra layers of coverage custom designed for your needs. What is hard about this?
TaipanofShangMagan 2 years ago
"Cap the torts and reign in the trial lawyers."
Mangina9000 2 years ago
Ok, my call for a mirror of FEHB to be provided by the government got translated into "complete" privatization". Outstanding.
You purchase your initial line of insurance through the Feds, like you do flood insurance. You setup a clearing house that handles all financial transactions between Fed, you, and the insurance carriers. Since, you believe, someone paying your bills is a God given right, fine. (cont)
TaipanofShangMagan 2 years ago
the feds issue a coverage regardless of pre-existing conditions.
TaipanofShangMagan 2 years ago
The baseline insurance automatically kicks in and handles the payment. The clearing house is the entity that handles matching the treatment and the cost and applies the payments accordingly. Any discrepancies is flagged and a justification request is sent to hospital or carrier for an explanation. I like the clearing house method because as a commodity trader this is how my trades are conducted at the end of the day. (cont)
TaipanofShangMagan 2 years ago
The clearing house has a 99.9% record of accuracy every single day. This is doable for medical insurance to make government and private side work together. Since questionable payments will be not be honored with explanation or arbitration, the protection for fraud is in place. Paperwork can be eliminated in favor of a biometric medical card that can access your data anywhere in the world at any hospital by virtue of a single swipe.
TaipanofShangMagan 2 years ago
So you get your wet dream of having your bills covered by 240 million Americans, costs lowered, and those of us who like our enhance treatment get to buy it and keep it. Like I do now.
TaipanofShangMagan 2 years ago
And if this is successful, you can start working on the next phase with WSJ brought up. National Credit Cards. Everybody gets a credit card backed by the government. Can't pay it off? Not a problem. The taxpayers will take care of it. No need to deal with that pesky thing called personal responsibility.
TaipanofShangMagan 2 years ago
Then we can move on to car insurance, and home insurance, and everybody deserves a house. So we can have National Home Centers. Free homes! Free mortgages because sometimes paying the bank is just way too much out of a paycheck. Not a problem. Government buys the homes and gives it to you. Now we are cooking. Ooh...we can hike the minimum wage to 40 bucks and hour and cap CEO pay at 100k a year. Level the playing field I think is the term. Hallelujah!
TaipanofShangMagan 2 years ago

And you want them to do what with health care? (cont)

The only way I would I ever agree to this is:
1) Implement the FairTax system so everybody pays into the system, no exceptions and
2) I am able to purchase additional supplemental insurance.
I refuse to have my health care or my families rationed, or reduced so a some parasites who can get a cell phone plan and sign up for cable tv/digital phone/internet, get a free ride.
TaipanofShangMagan 2 years ago
Numbers don't replace actual experience. Your experience may be that in a medium sized city, but I have friends in small towns in Canada where there is but one doctor and he is booked for months in advance.
Secondly, health insurance is like car insurance, it is your responsibility. It is not my responsibility to give it to you for "free". Not with you having cell phones, cable/sat tv, and high speed internet. Sorry, if you afford that, you can get insurance.
TaipanofShangMagan 2 years ago
"Numbers don't replace actual experience."
Well, actually, they sort of do.
Mangina9000 2 years ago
*Canadians pay less than 5% of their incomes to healthcare, rather, and we pay over three times that.
Sweden and Japan have extremely low waiting times and pay far below what we do. One problem is that doctors overcharge Medicare. We also pay $1 to insurance companies, legal services and claims processing for every $1 we get in actual health services. This problem would dissolve overnight if we tried to learn from other nations with more efficient, semi-privatized health care systems.
Mangina9000 2 years ago
I don't have a problem with that. I have an issue with people who spent 1/4 of their paycheck on "luxury" items that they do not need then come crying to the government about how they need "help" getting health insurance. I don't know about you, but humans got along fine for thousands of years without cell phones, cable tv, and the internet, and found a way to barter for health care. It is a matter of priorities.
TaipanofShangMagan 2 years ago
right on Man,
the overcharging problem is massive.. ive just been looking into this & there are maps showing what care costs in each state..look em up
also, the `waitng lines`claim is garbage. for most everyday things there is no wait & for emergencies there are no waits.. those are the things you notice.. if you have to wait a bit for your elective surgery or something thats not urgent, big deal, its free.. AND if you are impatient you can always pay for private work
Reggieworth 2 years ago
Also, the issue wasn't so much the wait time. The issue was the lack of available doctors. Seriously, who wants to go to med school and end up being a government lackey? Also, what is next? Car insurance? How many millions don't have car insurance? Should we be on the hook for that too? What about poor families with girls who never had a perm or highlights? Perhaps we should have National Hair Care Centers as well. It never stops with Dems trying to control our lives.
TaipanofShangMagan 2 years ago
"It never stops with Dems trying to control our lives"

millions of you are driving without car insurance? really? is that true?

Ask the 12 million illegal aliens about that.....
TaipanofShangMagan 2 years ago
ask the thousands of canadian doctors if they feel like "a government lackey"
you need to make your arguments more intelligently if you want anyone to take you seriously
Reggieworth 2 years ago
Who sets the compensation scale? Them or the government? If the government dictates their pay and schedule, then yes, they are government lackeys. Just because you have beaten "individualism" out of the average Canadian in favor of "collectivism" doesn't make what I said any less true.
TaipanofShangMagan 2 years ago
no, it isnt true at all. the doctors union negotiates payments... what do you think? the politicians decide how much it costs to fix your injuries?
seriously, go look up a map that shows the variable cost of service in different states
some places show that it costs double for the same service from one region to another
your doctors are overbilling, your insurance companies are skimming & when its not just right, you sue sue sue
Reggieworth 2 years ago
I know the doctors are overbilling and they are skimming. We can fix that with a very simple tweak. Except I have a government of incompetent morons who see this as a power grab to stuff more goddamn money down their pants. Anytime a politician loves a plan, the taxpayer had better be ready to kiss his ass goodbye. When a politician hates a plan, then you are doing right. Half the morons putting our "health care plan" together have ties to industry and bank the big bucks.
TaipanofShangMagan 2 years ago
"We can fix that with a very simple tweak"
lol
you would have by now IF it were possible
too many cooks is the problem
"incompetent morons"
i thought you guys had the 2nd amendment so you could do something about that.. what are you waiting for??
Reggieworth 2 years ago
What you don't understand is that this is a political power move. This is all about control. This is same government who had nationalized a company "temporarily" to help it and that company is still nationalized 40 years after the fact. AmTrak. The government cannot run AmTrak right. You think I want them telling me how to manage my health care? You are out of your mind.
TaipanofShangMagan 2 years ago
"You think I want them telling me how to manage my health care"
they arent performing surgery
i can see that your biggest problem is that you dont trust your government. its seems a common sentiment these days. so much for 'land of the free' eh
Reggieworth 2 years ago
Oh and the intelligent response is not to ask me to make my arguments more intelligent as a way of insulting me but to prove me wrong. Which you have failed to do.
TaipanofShangMagan 2 years ago
nope, just did.. you are impatient arent you
and stupid
where do you get your information from? some local paper written by grade school dropouts?
think a bit before you reply.. go look up some facts about canadas healthcare system
the french system is also okay, but like in england they are too permissive perhaps.. which bloats costs thru overservicing
seriously, go research a bit before you spout off
Reggieworth 2 years ago
Ok. We are done. I didn't insult you and you decided to start calling names.
TaipanofShangMagan 2 years ago
"I didn't insult"
sure you did, you consider canadian doctors to be lackys of the government & claimed that it would be inevitable to have "National Hair Care Centers" if the healthcare system became national
your hyperbole & lack of thought, interspersed with political party fingerpointing makes you a moron. dont like it? quit blaming "Dems"
Reggieworth 2 years ago
furthermore, your lame example of a small town with 1 doctor has nothing to do with canada/amerika
if you lived in a small town in alaska, would doctors just fly in so you didnt have to wait? no
some places only have 1 doc, or none
the wait there has nothing to do with the health insurance
Reggieworth 2 years ago
The word is called "availability". Look it up sometime. What good is "free", I mean, taxpayer funded health care, if you don't have a doctor to get to because it isn't worth his time? Defeats the purpose doesn't it.
Also, we have a tort problem out here. Dems and their Trial Lawyer groups look at everything as a another lottery to be won. Cap malpractice and torts, cost go down. Get rid of the 1900 government mandate, costs go down.
TaipanofShangMagan 2 years ago
"because it isn't worth his time?"
that dosent exist in canada. seriously.. do some research before you make your moronic assertions
"because it isn't worth his time" is an excuse used by money grubbing doctors
"Cap malpractice"
ha ha.. you mean government regulating what you can sue for? you are a riot!
Reggieworth 2 years ago
"money grubbing doctors" yeah because people become doctors to work for free. Jesus, you must be one of those types who absolutely hate it when people make lots of money. Being a doctor requires years of schooling and residency. Their skills are needed and you call them "money grubbing"? Wow...I guess they should be paid a "fair" wage, right? Not what their skill commands, but what you think is fair? Another O'postle.
TaipanofShangMagan 2 years ago
i make loads of money, i went to school, my skills are needed
however they chose a profession which EVERYONE requires. if EVERYONE requires it then it makes sense to have it dealt with centrally
doctors are still rich in canada. again, you need to look up your facts before putting your foot in your mouth
Reggieworth 2 years ago
In addition at least with private care, I can switch plans at will. With government? Not a chance in hell. Who am I going to sue if they screw me? They have limited immunity. Government can do something private companies cannot: operate at a loss. I can kiss my insurance goodbye and I won't be able to purchase supplemental insurance because nobody is going to offer it. Regulate the companies, break them up, I don't really care. Just stay out of my health care.
TaipanofShangMagan 2 years ago
see, you havent thought this through & are arguing from a position of ignorance.. thats not an insult bud, its a fact
a) you can get private extended health in canada
b) people sue the MSP for malpractice when it happens
BECAUSE the government can operate at a loss, there is lesss motivation to overcharge, skim & screw patients
your knee-jerk reaction is typical of amerikans, why do you feel so threatened?
Reggieworth 2 years ago
a) Only took a lawsuit for that to happen
b) I am sure they win.
TaipanofShangMagan 2 years ago
a) you are wrong. for example, dental care has always been private in canada, same with optometrists & podiatrists
b)they do win
your government IS run by idiots, but that isnt the problem
those idiots listen to you guys & respond. you arent very well informed so you are sending mixed messages
i propose you allow canada to run your nation for a while. i promise you wont want the elephant & donkey show again..lulz
Reggieworth 2 years ago
a) Dental care is not the same as cancer care.
b) Is that "win" before they die or after the fact where it really doesn't matter?
Those idiots do not listen to us. If they did, we wouldn't be in Iraq. If these morons actually listened to us, I would have ICE teams across the nation gathering up the 12 million illegals instead of trying to give them free citizenship. If they listened they wouldn't pass the cap and tax or screw with GM/Chrysler/AIG or the stimulus. No. They don't listen.
TaipanofShangMagan 2 years ago
a) duh, it was an example
b) yes its a win. look it up. seriously. often ppl are paid a bit in advance
again, whats the 2nd amendment for if you aint gonna use it?
the car companies should be allowed to fail. japanese cars are better anyway & the us should look ahead & create new industries instead of hanging onto low-tech & dirty ones
as for illegals, why not just let them in? you dont need any landscaping done?
Reggieworth 2 years ago

"while I take food off my family's table"

you are just another parasite like the ones you hate so much
Reggieworth 2 years ago 2
Guess you love unions.
And those countries with "nationalized' health care are rationing as well. I earn what I earn. I choose what I want, when I want it. I will not have my care or my family's care rationed.
Parasite? Me? I pay my taxes, asshole. More than the parasites and you. SO fuck off.
TaipanofShangMagan 2 years ago
unions support workers rights & negotiate for their contracts. why would you want each individual to do it separately? and if you cant trust your own government, how are you going to trust corporations to be fair to their workers?
i dont know where you got this idea that care is 'rationed'.. did the NRA make a flyer?
people whos attitude is "im alright jack" are social parasites.. you are just lucky bub
Reggieworth 2 years ago
"you are just lucky" Ahh the liberal mindset. No. I am not lucky. I worked hard. I went to school. I still go to school to keep my skills honed. I invest wisely and reap the rewards. That is not luck. That is ambition. The social parasites are the ones you call "unlucky". The ones with no ambition other than getting laid and claiming a welfare check. Don't insult my hard work by calling me lucky. If I win the lottery, then call me lucky.
