Having called it perfect, it seems crass to add a suggestion, but if you ever rework it , how about adding the pic of Kent State shooting into the crowd for "to dance, but never got the chance?"

Thank you for all the trivia to support the lyrics! Really appreciate it. My Dad said another opinion about the line: "drove my chevy to the levee, but the levee was dry" was a reference to the pub McLean and his friends use to go to for drinks. Do you have a different opinion on that?

@Terrenza1959 Definitely a possibility. McLean never really discussed the meaning of the lyrics, so we'll never know exactly, which I think is fine.

I wish there was some way to go back to 1959 and aire this video for all to see. Maybe it would have stopped Buddy from getting on that plane - but then again the crash may have been meant to happen for a very specific reason. It shaped a lot of future events that already happened. Thanks for making this awsome video
