  • Does anyone have the intro used for reruns?

  • I had a crush on Jamie too.

  • didn't this have another opening???

  • @zorpoxthedestroyer

There was a different opening. This was when it was re-titled "Laser Patrol".

  • What time in the future was this taking place in???

  • @wanabtkd It was either 3025 or the 2300's...I can't remember. I used to watch this constantly, but I was like 7 years old at the time.

  • Jamie Jarren was the original Laser Tag gangsta!

  • I was not familiar with the phrase "fucked-up shit" back in '86, but if I was, I would definitely use it to describe this show and save myself a lot of time trying to explain it

  • Yeah that's a great idea, run around dinosaur times with your great ancestors. I'm sure if one of them gets eaten there shall be no major repercussions in the future. -_-

  • @tdlob1 If hang gliders can fit 4 people, anything is possible!

  • You know what would've made this series better, if it only focused on the Jamie Jarren character and each episode have been just her winning a laser tag compitition each episode. Now that is a premise.

  • This looks gay but it also looks old so it was probably good when it first aired

  • @jsamue12 no it wasn't.

  • @guncannon109 k then

  • @jsamue12 It was. This was back when every popular toy got its own show and vice versa. Go Bots, Transformers, GI Joe, Laser Tag (not the fairy 'phaser' game), Atari...it was the glory days of cartoons. They started at 6am (after the Farm Report) and went until the afternoon. Now I've noticed the major networks show 2 shitty cartoons in between news and talk shows.

  • If she is the sole possessor of Starlite Power, why have the Academy? What would they do?

  • @nkaio5 dish out more starlite power getups when she died? lol

  • OH MY GOD! I used to watch that show when I was a little kid. Sweet memories. Now the shows of today have no powerful messages like the cartoons of the 80's and 90's did. It's all crap like Naruto, Johnny Test, and even more pieces of crap.

  • @TheNewEmphinix first Naruto might not be the best show ever but it's better then this piece of crap, and second, what "powerful messages" does this show even have? Oh yeah shit like "kids, lie to your parents." and "go a head and fuck up the time line, it won't effect anything what so ever."

  • @guncannon109 At least some 80s cartoons had PSA's that were instructional for children.

  • @guncannon109 Good thing you got so emotional while comparing a cartoon from 2000+ with one form the 1980s. I bet you're a real gem to be around in public. Simp.

  • @kaisersouse And I bet you're a real bicurious queerosexual who likes to solve problems by pretending to be better than everyone else

  • @Dussmasterzero Stop hitting on me. You look desperate. Just go find a glory-hole at some random rest-area on the freeway and get that tension out.

  • @kaisersouse Geez, I'm sorry, lol... I guess I should work on my game a little better... give me another chance, baby... I promise I'll make it up to you

  • @kaisersouse Keep it up baby, and I'll laser tag your ass so hard your ancestors will feel it, hahahaha

  • Awesome show!

  • @friendofsgran are you blind, def, and retarded?

  • Wow, I remember this show. I had almost forgotten about it, and then it came up in a google search result about 80's culture. I played laser tag at a gaming arena once, wow it was fun, not to mention good exercise. That was quite a while back. But I guess nowadays, even pointing your finger at somebody and pretending to have a gun is considered a crime.

  • ...wow the future in the past sucks

  • Laser Tag! Bew! Bew! XD

  • I used to love Jeannie Jaren

  • @XOVAVuno was that a typo?

  • I remember i was in love with the main character, the girl was really cute and a wonderful voice =) soo many good times i spend watching this show.... Makes me a little sad remembering those times.... Im getting old... *sight*

  • She sure was cute. I remember this at the time I thought it was kinda weird for them to have a female lead character, now I think it's cool!!

  • I would come home from school just in time to watch this cartoon.

  • lol ugh why did the league have to go bankrupt!! you flooded the market!! damn you illuminati!!! XD

  • WTF epic ^^

  • "This cartoon takes me back to its debut back in 1984-85 season!"

  • RIP Don LaFontaine Aug 26, 1940-Sept 1, 2008

  • a Laser Tag toon with a female lead protagonist

talk about something rare (Not that its a bad thing, though)

  • this is where they got the idea for demolition man

  • It sounds like Don LaFontaine is doing the opening narration.

  • yo, I remember back in the day before they changed the style of the gun, niggaz used to get killed for brandishing the laser tag gun. Good times! I recorded one episode of laser tag academy back in 86, and it was the only reference I had to the show. I watched that fuckin' tape until I was like 24! It had the punky brewster cartoon on there AND the Wuzzles! What!!!

  • @inzzo3000

I grew up in the 70's and 80's, and I also remember a news report of a cop who once shot a kid for pointing one of those plastic laser tag guns at him. I'm sorry, but any cop who's so paranoid and psycho that he can't see that thing's a toy, shouldn't be working out there.

  • Hey do you people remember that the bulglar used a ship to get away, and went down a thousand years ago in 3010 so....they are supossed to crash in to the see THIS YEAR....2010!!!

  • @catarata1 Just in time for us to go to Jupiter and see what went wrong with Hal.

  • wow been a LONG time since Ive saw that. I remembered it by accident and didnt think id even be able to find it on here. Thanks uploader!

  • lol

  • Anyone know where I could download these?

  • Laser Tag Academy! It was renamed Laser Patrol in the 90s and use to be part of the Sci Fi Cartoon Quest.

  • I remember having a crush on this girl back then, ha ha. That is kinda weird, having a crush on a cartoon character.

The things we do as kids.

  • i loved jem haha

  • I had a crush on Elisa Maza from the Gargoyles cartoon when I was a kid and my mom used to have a crush on Alvin from Alvin and the Chipmunks when *she* was a kid... but hey, at least mine was human.

  • @910yamevoy Glad to see I'm not the only one!

  • pew pew

  • omg i didnt realise till now but this tune still goes through my head!

  • o my god my childhood is comming back to me loved the artoon when i was young

  • How come I was not aware of this cartoon i thought i watch every single damn one?!

  • wow this was my favorite cartoon when i was a child. thank you for the video. i couldnt remember the name until today!!!

  • I HAD THE GUN AND THE VEST AND THE HELMET!!! I WAS THE ONLY IN MY HOOD WITH ONE CAUSE MY MOM WAS A NURSE AND NOT A HOOKER lol just pickin

  • At least she told you she was a nurse..

  • Dam I cant find episodes anywhere.

I don't use torrents cause there gay.

  • a thousand years from now the hairdos resembled the eighties... loved the show though

  • wat da hell?

  • The 'futuristic' set pieces make me think of Demolition Man.

  • Good memories. ^^

  • decent concept for a toon, but it never really made it past one season

  • you wouldn't have had the toons they had in the 90's without the toons that came from what we had in the 70's and 80's, besides that after about '95 the toons started to suck, so the 90's didn't have that good of a run

  • theres always going to be quality issues with series that are farther han a decade apart, try not toget so worked up about it, eh'? honestly i love the old styles, and was glad to have these shows esp transformers and dungeons and dragons animated series, among ohers...

  • yo la vi hace muchos a.os desde mexico uy no recordaba como se llamaba

  • AWESOME

  • The sad thing is, this isn't the most retarded thing I've seen...every day I lose more faith in mankind

  • if your refering to a storyline for a tv show, then become a writr, and do something about it, dont dis a series, cause it seems unrealistic, or stupid...

  • I remember this. I wanted one of those lazer tag guns, but they were $50, and my Mom said it was too expensive.

Compared to the other cartoons, it wasn't all they great, but concept was neat.

  • a quality one now would cost 50 bucks.

  • They're still here, and they don't cost that much...I think.

  • seems crap

  • the game was so much better, they took the idea, and tried to apply to it a show, it didn't work, maybe if i were actually based IN the laser tag academy, butthat's just me...

  • What I want to know is... Whose idea was it to give a master criminal a laser. (Man, we are RETARDED in the future).

  • @joethehero2 It a future run by an out of date game that got replace by paintballs

  • @joethehero2 maybe he stole one, maybe he bought one on the black market we'll never know...

  • @Jshaw71 He could've very well created it himself. My question is what were those things that were with Dreer? Are they creatures he created?

  • @Pinhead554 who knows why the skuggs are working with him, maybe there aliens, maybe they've been created... to really knows...

  • @joethehero2 I believe he stole the starlight and accessories.

  • @joethehero2 He probably stole it.

  • love the toy, hate the cartoon....i even got shot WAAYY back in the 80's by a cop because of it..ssiigghh sweet memories

  • ahaha i thought this shit was the BOMB

  • Help from relatives? no fucking way

  • One word...LAME! What they should of done to improves this show is that the Lazer Tag Academy should of have several "recruits" from all over the galaxy to train at the Academy to become professionals Lazer Tagers & to compete aganist others in a Intergallatic tourney to see who is the Supreme Lazer Tag Grand Champion. This would of been a better storyline than that mess!

  • thats bringing it back awesome!

  • what the hell

  • NBC Saturday Mornings in the 80s were the shizz.

  • I love this show

  • so 90´s ...... cool show

  • No, get it right. This was about 1986 or '87, believe it or not.

  • this SUCKS!

  • Wow he's right this is really GAY

  • WOW thats the gayest thing i've ever seen

  • a cartoon show about lasertag? what where they thinking lol

  • @hellyeshellnomeh

not to mention the plot holes, the main villain wanted to kill his ancestor to weaken the future for him to take over, this would also ERASE HIM FROM EXISTANCE.

You pretty much have to be completely brain dead not to figure that out. This show was full of errors and plot holes. THe writers really didn't care.

  • @dragonfanatic7 I always thought he wanted to steal the idea of the stargate from her ancestor so HE could have control over it completely.

  • @colleen4ever

nope he wants to kill his and her ancestor to cripple the future because that device won't exist.

Neither will he, this villain can't even see the fatal flaw of his plan. WORST CARTOON EVER!

  • @dragonfanatic7 Eh, I've seen worse.

But it must be weird that she has to fight someone she in a sense is RELATED to!

  • man i fukin loved this cartoon as a kid. always wanted a starlite

  • 0:36 Satanic subliminal messages!!

    Jk rofl

  • Even while I was 12 I found this just a mediocre to watchable show. Recently I tried to rewatch some episodes and after a lot of laughs in the first 2 I gave up. Another of those crappy cartoons and certainly without much rewatch value.

  • Actually, I loved Lazer Tag, as a game, but I always thought this show was about as gay as shit could get. Especailly with other stuff like M.A.S.K. and transformers going on at the same time.

  • Wow this is so awsome how nastalgic. And what is what with retarded argument between RS233 and cheesehead. Seriously why is this kid referring to people as children when he himself is a only 24. with that said how do you even remember watching this cartoon, being it that it was around about 1985-86- what were you like 2 or 3 years old.

  • Strange sort of replies for this vid. Oh well. I just wanted to say "thank you" for posting this. I can't believe you scrounged it up. I remember this cartoon from when I was a kid, and I use to watch it faithfully every Saturday morning. Thanks a million for refreshing a fond childhood memory.

  • This author IS a dickhead.

  • Well i can't comment on the tosh of today as i don't watch cartoons anymore, you obviously are a real nerd when in comes to cartoons as you seem to know quite a bit about them.

As for not being into arguments why did you start in the first place?

I agree this has been quite fun, but seriously kid you need to find better way's of having fun other than making yourself look totally daft. ;)

  • Now this is a cartoon series I'd love to see complete on DVD.

I watched this on TV when I was a kid. ;-)

Some people here have no sense of fun. Well pitiful you, boo-hoo.

  • No, you're the retard.

Also stop using such childish words. Your 24? You certainly don't act it.

  • Right back at you. Idiot.

  • Lol thats coming from a sad geek defending a childrens cartoon series?

You idiot kid, go out side more! XD

  • Oh here we go, let me guess you wasn't a child right?

A typical conceited moron of an adult.

  • If I'm a sad geek. You're a typical dickhead.

  • He he he, getting mad now kid.

Go out more it's just a kids cartoon.

  • Who are you? Han Solo? *eyes*

  • Lmao!

And now who is using childish comments?

    Moron?

    Dickhead?

You are a barrel of laughs kid. XD

  • I'm just using truthful comments. That's the fact of the matter. XD

  • Truthful comments? how can they be truthful when you don't know me? who are you Han Solo XD ,lol ok kid it's clear your getting desperate so why don't you just do yourself a favor and go out more and then you might learn not to use you tube to pick fights with random people to try and prove to yourself that you're some kind of hero.

    :P

  • Nah, I'm chilled. Sorry bud, just a little fun. Not into arguments much, but I did really enjoy this toon as a kid. Really wasn't that bad. Especially when you compare it to the tosh today... kid. ;-)

  • Stop being a patronising drone, and go elsewhere.

You don't know me. At all.

  • Why should i go elsewhere? It was you who commented on my opinion of this children's show.

And i won't know who you are as unlike you i don't go reading up on people, i.e their age ect, what are you some kind of pervert?

    XD

  • I feel like a just lost skin from face just from watching this clip.

  • jojojjo que cagado jajaja

  • MY EYES!

  • Behold the effects of glam metal and cocaine upon our nation's animators!

  • too bad you cant do that stuff with a real laser tag gun lol

  • then don't watch then fuckers.

  • Ive never seen it before.....but it looks like a load of crap!

  • So, did they ever say in the cartoon vvhich boy ended up being her great, great, etc. grandfather?

(couldn't be the girl cause her last name is Jerund!)

  • You're thinking about the episode "Battle Hymn of the Jarens". This is when Drear travels back to the Civil War (1863) to prevent Bo "Grandpa" Jaren from meeting Sara Beth Thomas "Grandma" Jaren so that the Jaren kids won't be born.

  • Actualy I vvas vvondering if they ever said vvhich one of the 2 is her main ancestor, the one vvhose kid is gonna end up being her father?

  • They never said who Jamie's father is. The age differnce between Jamie and Tom is approximately 1,024 years (3010 - 1986 = 1024). Both Jamie and Tom were about 15 years old (in their own time periods) when the cartoon aired, assuming that Tom was born in 1971 (1986 - 15 = 1971), and Jamie would be born in 2995 (3010 - 15 = 2995). The commercial only said that Tom, Beth, and Nicky were Jamie's ancestors, and that Bo Jaren and Sara Beth Thomas Jaren were their grandparents.

  • So, assuming it's Tom, and his decendants had at least one son each and after at least 1,000 years begat Jamie, vve can assume that Tom is her great, great, great, great etc. grandfather.

  • this cartoon is so cheezy but just the meories are enuff 2 make me like it

  • This was one of the first video cassettes my parents got me when i was a kid! I loved it, but had forgotten all about it until now, thanx for posting:)

  • me too

  • Respect!!!

    so many years ago...

  • Respect!!! as simple as that....

    so many years ago......

  • God, how old am I to remember that and actually having the toys :P

  • omg sick i what to whach that

  • Three ancestors...kinky...

  • LOLZ Yeah they could have presented that alittle better i think. It's her family line in the past, like her clan in scotch-irish tradition.

  • @cajunprophet73 Not really. Only one of the boys is gonna end ip being her Great, great, great, etc. Grandpa. The other will be great great great great etc...Aunt and Uncle.

  • What the HELL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • why does this sound so awesomely bad??

  • yeahh those where the days... (not really)

  • whoa...

  • Yall shit is shizzlen n bizzlen mothfckes

  • WAUT DE FOUK?!?!?!i

  • G.A.Y

  • ._.

  • wtf...

  • What the heck was that crap

  • lol... I wonder if this show was what gave Toei the idea for Timeranger, and subsequently, the US adaptation, Time Force.

  • My favorite cartoon!

  • Oh man... Oldschool. D: I barely remember any single episode of this at all.

  • does anyone remember Photon?, the bastard child of lazertag? Anyhoo this cartoon was fun to watch :D

  • Photon was created first in 1985. World of Wonder created Laser tag in 1986.

  • I remeber the cartoon as well as teh game I hope that they will put the cartoon on dvd like they have for like she-ra and he-man they need to put more of the cartoons from the "80 on dvd like they r doing 4 the'80 shows. thank you from bring that back and letting me remember my youth
