Great playing son, you do YOUR thing and don't listen to the crap that;s been posted here! Why don't al you "experts" and "critiques" post something of your own for a change other than getting at this young man!
@0zzy2009 I agree with robibm2003, Cole Davis is a good studio guitarist but he lacks feeling, you can see a lot of guitarist in youtube who can play like that, but very few who can transmit emotions as Eric Clapton, Robert Cray or BB King do.
I haven't seen this kid before now, but man can he play the guitar. It's amazing to see people using the special talents God has given them. It's so apparent this is what he was called to do, make beautiful music. And it looks like he's sharing that gift with others in a useful way. If I'm not mistaken he's playing at a senior center to entertain the elderly that don't get much outside interaction. Right on Cole, keep up the awesome work.
The good: technically, this was superb and the tone was fucking killer.
The bad: it was emotionally flat. Your version just didn't have that sense of monumental foreboding and spiritual emptiness that the original as well as a number of amateur versions I've seen here on You Tube have. Play to elicit a real emotional response from the audience. Use the guitar as a communication tool rather than a device to make yourself look cool.
@robibm2003 Well maybe the kid needs to get high as a kite on some good bud before he picks up the guitar. Thank god you were able to chime in with your expert analysis on his lack of emotion, or I might have accidentally enjoyed watching this. In case you didn't notice, the people in the audience seemed to be enjoying it (especially the black lady).
One of the few guitar videos I watched all of. LOL a nursing home?
