Anything above 480p can't be cropped or stretched.

This wouldn't be an issue if the morons at youtube would just put a button to change the aspect ratio so VIEWERS can fix the issue since obviously the uploaders hardly ever do. Other sites use flash players that have a button to change between 4:3 and 16:9, it's very simple but years later youtube is still way behind on this.

I'm really having trouble here...I can do the aspect ratio and the yt:crop=16:9 but that only effects the height of the video, the width still has black bars. I have been experimenting for some time now on the stretch/crop etc ratios and have had no luck. If I make a ratio of anything ex: yt:stretch=16:9 yt:stretch=4:3 yt:crop4:3 I get no results, only black borders. I have seen the comments that say "it takes some time" but when I do the crop16:9 it works instantly, only for the height though.

ok youtube about last year added a feature where if you upload a video in 16:9 windoboxed it would be cropped automatically leaving you with full screen. You would think that was a good idea but it ABSOLUTELY SUCKS if you have uploaded a video that isn't as good as quality. it looks like complete shit and if they had the option to switch from back to forth, that would be a good idea.
