If there's one thing i learned from playing this game it's to never pre-order a game unless you are absolutely POSITIVE it is worth the $60 or whatever you put into it. I had really high hopes for this game and though IMO it's not a horrible game and there is SOME fun to be had it is most certainly NOT worth $60. HAWX isnt that great but like I said there are few options for aerial combat. Compared to the variety of PS2 - this "next gen" is total fail. Video games have all but died. Every once in a while the moons align just right and you get a shadow of what things used to be coming through...

I just bought the game 2day... Very cool gameplay with the flying and stuff.. but after 3-5 hours the game was over. I was like WTF have i allready completet the GAME! Cool gameplay but WAY 2 short. And i startet thinking was it really worth 2 pay so much for a game, it only takes 3 max 5 hours 2 complete. They could atleast have made multiplayer then, But nope. They messed this game up. Well it is and looks cool but it's 2 short. They stated you could go everywhere. In a way you can but then again not really. if you fly somewhere else it has nothing 2 do with any missions, no enemy, all emty and nothing 2 find, perhaps one journal :( I played on normal,, died alot, fooled around with my jet pack, and when i thought okay i think im half way through, then it was over.. and it's a shame cause the game really had potential of becomming great. Max 5 hours game, and no MP. sad :(

@shishamu This game contains both Shooter and melee attacks. You are able to Punch the enemies when your close enough to them. Just like in the game Shadow Complex. Punching falls in the Melee catagory.
I just know that this game is going to get a lot of poor reviews tomorrow but I don't care and I can't wait to buy it and enjoy it. I thought that the demo was awesome so I'm sure that the rest of the game will be just as fun.

its not a awful game its a good game. i think it has a fun shooting system and awesome jet pack gameplay.
problems: no multi player, needs more polished graphics, more jet pack time, a better story, a long story mode. and thats about it.
there is gonna be some DLC coming out, so far i know its gonna be called survivor missions, i don't know what that is but we'll see.

The only thing I'm skeptical about is that I really hope you use L1 to aim and R1 to shoot. Cuz I'm gonna hate it if you have to use L2 & R2...

I know, on the one hand you would have the advantage on using a mouse to aim on the enemies, but on the other hand the flying ability is going to give us a hard time. (PC)
