Anyone who remembers the actual band from the movie should check out Swell Season, it is a duo with the red-headed guitarist from the movie. Low Rising is the song I recommend first.

It was'nt the best open air concert this one,it was a small event with a small stage, there was a few bands playing at it including Wolfstone, the only reason we were there.

The Commitments (1987) is a novel by Irish writer Roddy Doyle, and is the first episode in The Barrytown Trilogy. It is a tale about a group of unemployed young people in the north side of Dublin, Ireland, who start a soul band.

That was turned into a movie in 1991.

Andrew Strong was the singer in the movie.The band is from a novel.
