Found out recently that my g/f toured with the Cocteaus some while back. Sometimes Liz Frazer would be so terrified that they had to play the stage lights on to her so she coundn't see the crowd....how sweet is that?
Is there a song as good as this by the cocteau twins, any recommendations, i'm just starting to get into them and love the little I know especially this incredible piece. Wow.
@elysianintricacy All of their songs are good. If you have to chose an album to start with I would suggest "The Pink Opaque" because it covers many of the sounds that they've used overall. If you're like me and you don't like discovering bands through compilation records, which is what the Pink Opaque is even though it's an official record (Cocteau Twins chose it as their introduction to a US audience), then I would suggest starting with "Treasure".
ouh my fucking goodness...i love her sooo much...so deep emotions when i listen to it..

joint in hand ... and a trip to anther world ... that voice sweeps you away into another dimension from which you dont want to return from ..... epic !!!
The Twins got me through several teenage hormone crisis and a couple of broken hearts (including the one given me by the girl that took me to see them live in the late 80s).
weird reminds me of a dream I had where a this sort of hazy painting with this same color scheme slowy rose from my dying body. never really knew this bad, cool stuff.
Singers used to kick their arses to release a song in the past, it was a hard job even for the passionates. Nowadays singers can't even be called singers because most of them preffer playback and most of the songs follow the same mix as the previewer.
Somehow, as impossible as it seems to pick a "favorite" Cocteau Twins song, this one rises to mind. Perhaps it is that sense of DOOM they were so good at touching so softly, so gently upon. Man, can the woman coo.....
