This performance is amazing, probably the best I've heard Santa Lucia sung! Thank you so much for uploading this timeless treasure. It is wonderful that YouTube gives these otherwise forgotten, hard-working kids a fraction of the exposure they truly deserve.
One silly thing with Youtube is that for some reason, it ALWAYS clips the end of a video. You need to let you video run on a second or two after the end of the singing. Is it possible maybe to reupload it, because I would like to hear it till the sound has faded away.
54 min. A documentary about the Moscow Boys Choir and their director at the time, Victor S. Popov. The production presents much on Popov's style, told by him and illustrated with selections such as "We Sing Unto Thee" by Tchaikovsky.. Boys in the choir also provide their opinions to the camera, mostly positive. One little boy comments, "Well, I can't say I like him. He can be very cross. ...other people like him. He IS a good teacher."
Is this the full resolution? I'm trying to work out what city it says at 0:44. "Nativity of the Virgins Cathedral, ????, USSR" I am glad to know at least "some" religion managed to flourish under Communist rule...
The city is "SUZDAL" One of the oldest cities of Russia, situated about 210 km noth-east of Moscow.
The Cathedral of the Nativity - a World Heritage Site - is one of the eight White Monuments of Vladimir and Suzdal. One of the most complex monuments of Russian medieval architecture. It was originally constructed during the reign of Vladimir II Monomakh during the late 11th century.
Thanks for the info! I love Russian cathedrals, they look so gorgeous. Look forward to visiting the country in the future. I've always wanted to go to the Hermitage in St. Petersburg.

I'd like to do miracles, but here it's impossible; the original file in Real video ends up at exactly the same
time. Just enjoy the miracle of these voices.

Hello Editor in Spain,
brilliant singing boys in Moscow !
I myself have many experiences with YouTube. My advice: Make that video public...
I guess that you here not would get problems
with "violation of copyright".
