  • snake beater achievement is so funny

  • Y this no substance?...I mean They could have at least put in MGS2: substance and MGS3:subsistence in the HD collection

  • @wedran123 .....this is Substance

  • @wedran123 They have those versions..

  • Kojima has got to be gay lmao cool achievements nonetheless yea raiden nude cartwheeling my wtfmoment in gaming EVER

  • Does the collection come with the first one? The one with the guy who reads your memory card?

  • @gatorboy120 no. the first metal gear solid wasn't included because it's already released on the PS Store... I THINK.

  • @dan24591 They should have included it. Metal Gear Solid isn't on the Xbox Marketplace.

  • @gatorboy120 No, it's 2, 3 and peace walker

  • Good new to some of you. Hideo kojima confirmed that the hd collection is coming for the playstation vita. Atrought peace walker is not included. The ps vita is backwards compatible with all downloadable psp games including peace walker

  • @1KillerQueen1 you get 5 games those are MGS2, MGS3, MGS Peace walker, and mgs3 includes the 2 original metal gear games from the late 80's. Keep in mind that if you are getting this for the playstation vita yoi do not get peace walker

  • @FALCOR1220 Jesus Christ, how old are you? MGS2 was also on the orginal xbox. There is NO benefit to exclusives. None. The ONLY reason a game should be an exclusive is if the other console can't handle it. Xbox CAN handle MGS2, 3 and Peace Walker, so they can get it. Grow the fuck up.

  • You are not playng shits? Fuck you Geoff! Fuck you!

  • The last one gets me all the time.

  • this is great i love hunting tropy,s on my ps3 for this game

  • @elslunchbox FYI ME was never exclusive & didn't "start on a platform" dumb Fucking kids these days.....

  • @RizwanPS3 The first game was a timed exclusive for Xbox 360.

  • @TehKamikaze919 exactly

  • @RizwanPS3 just like what TehKamikaze919 said, originally the 1st Mass Effect came out on the X-Box 360 *as an exclusive microsoft release* Hense why on the top right corner tab, it has the 360's patent "only on x-box" logo on it. it was only a year later that the game was also released on the PC, you know to be used on a *Microsoft* operating system? not Sony & not Nintendo. if your going to question someone, learn your shit & know what your talking about. & relax yourself, dont dick around

  • These graphics look better then the RE HD collection I just got a few months back.

  • he he snake beater

  • Finally got delivery after waiting for a week (thanks for the wait overstock) and I'm stocked to be playing it again.

  • Description " acheivement comes early!" hahahahaa

  • Just did this on my ps2! Knew about for a long time now hah

  • The kind of people that can't get these achievements are the kind of people that like the last word in the description.....

  • press 0:07 then press 1:35 for funny joke

  • Ahh memories.

  • The awkward moment when you're watching a Rooster Teeth video and two guys are having a flame war in the comments....

  • masterbation

  • 3 came out in 04

  • Get Well Geoff

  • I just might get this collection.Even though the original MGS 2 and 3 look good on an HDTV.

  • to think i done all this in 2001 :)

  • I think calling it "beating the snake" is an acceptable term now.

  • Snake likes to masturbation by looking at Otacon more than a real woman.

  • lol, I could only imagine geoff trying to claim a disability check.

"its not like i can play video games with a broken hand!"

  • Wtf is Geoff talking about Michael pronounced Raiden correctly

  • Fragger and Geoff snag three achievements that come early in Metal Gear Solid 2 HD. They "grab" Kissing Booth, Down in Smoke and Snake Beater. I hope they aren't jerks about. Penis.

  • MGS GAMES on xbox??? 5 games from sony on xbox i want this :) i thought this was for ps3 only

  • @guitarpro925 wait a minute mgs2 was on xbox original were most of them sony only?

  • @ghoultsu the series started on PS1, microsoft faught sony to release MGS2 Substance on the original X-box & earlier than sony by a few months. (long term reception, wasnt all that great back then).

  • @ElsLunchBox What console did Metal Gear start on again, before the PS1?

  • @ElsLunchBox Don't worry I got it, the MSX2 and the NES

  • @iGlyphix theres actually another way to play Metal Gear & Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake other than their original systems (& legally lol) the directors cut of Metal Gear Solid 3 Snake Eater, being MGS3 Subsistence, had a lot of new content, most surprising is full revamped versions of Metal Gear & Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake. Again, like Metal Gear Solid 1, MGS3 Subsistence is an original system exclusive... you know some games should just stay on their consoles. i fell the same about Mass Effect ...

  • @ElsLunchBox Mass Effect is no longer an exclusive as of ME2, I am not actually a big fan of the exclusive/content culture I hate having to spend a lot of extra money just for another console because they aren't releasing the sequel to a particular game on my current system.

When I purchased my first console I had to weigh up the differences and I went for an Xbox 360 due to the larger amount of exclusives (amongst other reasons).

  • @iGlyphix Yeah i know ME is not longer an exclusive & i think its wrong for a couple reasons (and the base principal, that you think of & like, is also right too). As for your choice ...thats a shame lol i dont wanna get into it, but when looking to the future, take a glance @ the past. My motto, if a game starts on a platform, let it finish there. From a 'i wanna play everything' stand point it sucks. but from a story's (& ME IS story) your getting the short end when ppl just play a sequel.

  • @ghoultsu most came out on the ps2 first I think, then were ported to xbox later. mgs3 snake eater remains ps2 only.

  • @notreallythatawesome umm, no (try reading the Immediate comments below). Metal Gear Solid (1) started out on the Sony PS1, MGS2 went to the PS2. MGS2 Substance (directors cut) was subjucated to a bidding war between microsoft wanting a piece of sony's action. they got MGS2 Substance on both consoles. (and after the overall gamers reception was less than expected on X-box) all remaining official Metal Gear Solid games after were originally released back on PS systems, until this collection ...

  • @ElsLunchBox yeah, that sounds right.

  • @ghoultsu Only Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance was on XBOX, all the other Metal Gear Solid games were on PlayStation consoles: Metal Gear Solid = PS1

    MGS 2/Substance AND MGS 3/Subsistence = PS2

MGS: Acid, MGS: Portable Ops/+, Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker = PSP

    Metal Gear Solid 4 = PS3.

There was a remake of the first Metal Gear Solid for GameCube, and the original Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2 (not "Solid") were on NES, PC, MSX, and C64, but if you have MGS HD collection or MGS3S you can play them

  • @acealexander702 thats pretty much what i said (lol) but i see you trying a lil nudge that i got my facts wrong? saying Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2 (not solid) lol well im sorry but your wrong & its ok because its a common misconception. MG was released here in the US on the NES (and others) but the Official MG 2 was never released here. Metal Gear 2 Snakes Revenge was an American, non-offical released game. Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake is the official title, first released here on MGS3 Subsistence

  • @ElsLunchBox was confirming it for ghoultsu, and explaining the rest of the games in the series :P never said your facts were wrong, didn't even notice your comment :P but your right other than MG2, all my other statements were correct :|

  • @acealexander702 lol yup

  • @ghoultsu sir yes sir.

  • i play most of my games on the Xbox... but im thinking of getting this on Ps3 i can imagine how the controlls is considering im a BIG metal gear solid fan

  • I just got an ad...of smosh

  • cant wait for this hd collection, but i miss there the first mgs! good times, one of the best games ever made

  • @DamiKondi do u mean the old 2d ones? or MGS: Tactical Espionage Action (which is the one for PSX) cuz the PSX one u can get on psn for like 7 or 10 bucks. But not on xbox. so not to start a console war but psnwin lol

  • omg the snakebeater one made me laugh soo hard

  • LOLOL... (((SNAKE)))) beater LOL

  • Down in Smoke isn't in the title...?

  • Geoffs hand is broken from snake beating.

  • snake what are you doing? SNAKE? SNAKE? SSSSSNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAKKKKKKKKKKKKEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!! (snake jizzed on the intercom thingy)

  • @ErrectifiedPeePee lame.

  • Aus is Feb 2012

  • When is this out? The UK doesnt have it :/

  • @i450 EU version comes out in 2012 Feb

  • @ShadowNick3 Thanks! :)

  • I did all of these Easter eggs 2 years ago.

  • if xbox gets a ps3 only game i think ps3 should get gears of war or fable on ps3

  • @iTzThiDD Why?

  • @iTzThiDD they don't get a ps3 only game they got MSG1, 2, 3 and Peacewalker none of which were released for the ps3 except for MGS1 which was released as a PSX classic

  • @iTzThiDD not halo?

  • @iTzThiDD MGS2 Substance came out on the Original Xbox already along time ago

  • @iTzThiDD Mass Effect

  • video game compnies my god, my wallet just cant take the constant abuse lol

  • Where can you get this for Xbox 360?

  • MGS2>>>MGS2 HD

I found all of these on my own before they were "achievements" =p

    I miss those days.

  • i broke my wrist last last night, i cant play games for a month xP

  • @Alfourthousand i feel ya man

  • @Alfourthousand i feel u D:

  • @Alfourthousand i want to feel you...O.O

  • @theninjaofhell ok then :S

  • Are the damn dog tags back? Dear god I hope not. That was a pain in the ass to get every single one in all difficulties.

  • wait what?

  • Memories...

  • WHERE CAN I GET THIS!?

  • When I first played this on PS2, I thought Snake was kissing the poster when I bring up the codec. Now I realized he was jerking off, lmao

  • The guy wanted a boner...

  • HD? I looks just like I remember it... on PS2...

  • @mychokehold well it's the same graphics, just a clearer picture

  • @mychokehold well, for one thing, this is youtube. that is, unless you were watchin it in 720p on full screen with an HD comp monitor. and besides, it just says 'HD' not 'remade.' therefore, its same graphics, just better sound quality and more clear visual of those ps2 graphics

  • @mychokehold Capcom doesn't understand what an HD rerelease means.

  • @CoreyClarkYC93 mgs is konami

  • @TheSeanhl Well, don't I feel stupid right now.

Either way, Konami pulled the same shit.

  • @CoreyClarkYC93 no problem, the two companies reference each other enough it's easy to make that mistake, with capcom's monster hunter portable 3rd having big boss/the boss armor and mgs peacewalker having you be able to meet a felyne that takes you to an island where you can fight a rathalos

  • @CoreyClarkYC93 Metal Gear Solid: Hardly Different Collection

  • SNAKE BEATER... BOW CHIKA WOW WOW!

  • I could just remember a parody, where Snake knocks on the wall, and a shotgun blast comes through the wall taking his head off...

  • blarg

  • @Jnewby15 honk

  • this looks the same...

  • omfg metal gear on xbox?! epic

  • thumbs up if you think its bullshit that the HD collection got delayed in europe!?

  • good memories..... :)

  • METAL GEAR 2!!!!!!!

    my first ps2 game =' ]

  • LMFAO Snake Beater WTF hahahahahahaha

  • naughty kojima XD

  • lol description

  • Memories.

  • who wrote the description!!???

  • @ImWatchingYouShower lmfao i didnt notice that ahahaha

  • lolol

  • Oh my god I want to get this game but I've literally played through this series more than a few times.

  • when does the game release?

  • @krazypinoy7012 It was released last Tuesday! xD

  • Mgs3 was never on the original xbox. But Mgs2 substance was.

  • it's like in SSBB with all the snake easter eggs

  • Metal gear solid on XBOX?

  • @iTzThiDD Metal Gear was never a Playstation exclusive. It started on the Nintendo in the U.S, and a console called the NSX in Japan, which is the better version of the two. Metal Gear Solid Twin Snakes was on Gamecube, and I think Metal Gear Solid 3 was on the original Xbox as well, I don't remember.

  • @gomez1323 MSX*

  • @gomez1323 MGS3 snake eater was on the original Xbox, but not the re-released Subsistence version.

  • @gomez1323 mgs 3 was not on xbox

  • @gomez1323 Not to mention MGS1 was on PC too

  • @iTzThiDD old story bro.

  • im not a fanboy but xbox is realy lucky to deserve this masterpieces

  • @JIMELLINGTON Id have to agree. ive played games on all the consoles over the years. And im sorry to say it, im gonna offend a lot of people reading this, but this MGS collection being on the 360 is a mistake. X-box players generally (not specifically all, but a lot) dont understand/like/or appreciate MGS like the people who first played and followed the series. in 02 Microsoft faught Sony tooth & nail for the rights to Substance & a year after its release, gamers forgot about it all together.

  • @ElsLunchBox Well I can't say I'm happy with that post but, you know, you at least had the decency not to lump us MGS fans who bought an Xbox in with those morons who don't know anything beyond a good KD ration in TDM

  • @Mentalist1x1x Yeah i mean, i said that i was gonna offend some people. I mean truth is truth, im not gonna sugar coat it. I still have the magazine article from EGM 2002 that follwed MGS2 Substance's release and Microsoft throwing piles of money at Konami & Hideo Kojima (anything with MGS, he had a hand in it) to beat out Sony, thinking their gamers would like to get in on MGS. Turned out, the magority couldnt grasp nor get the depth of MGS seeing Dozens* of used copies traded in, in 2003-04

  • @ElsLunchBox What MGS game was for the X-box before

  • @ElsLunchBox You are really just pulling an insult out of your ass. The story isn't even hard to understand. Their is just a lot of it.

  • @DoubleTTB22 The MGS game for the original X-Box was Metal Gear Solid 2 Substance released on November 4th 2002 (basically MGS2 directors cut). August 2002 EGM Nintendo Special report issue # 157 had an extensive preview on pages 86-87 by Che Chou. Video game journalists like Victor Lucas & Tommy Tallarico (of electric playground) always reported on Substance's release and how Microsoft desperately faught Sony just to get it released a couple months in advance. Cold hard facts, not from my ass

  • @ElsLunchBox Never new that. but still. What does trading in copies have to do with not being smart enough to play a game. What does it have to do with deserving the game. Deserving to have a game on your console doesn't even make sense, unless you are just a fanboy that hates your rival getting enjoyment out of something that is primarily for you. That is what you pulled out your ass. Dozens isn't even much.

  • @DoubleTTB22 Now if you think im pulling an insult out of my ass because i said that the majority (not all, but a noticeable majority) of X-Box gamers didnt get/like/understand/appreciate the game or its depth of story. After its release from 2002-2003, any video game store i went to, had dozens upon dozens of used copies of the game. And till now when i go onto a message board for a game guide website, and i stumble around hearing X-box gamers talk MGS its cringe worthy. i speak of whats there

  • @ElsLunchBox Okay. I understand your point of view better. But you can never use the internet as a basis for the norm. Their are mostly just people that don't actually express any opinion other than one extreme to the other. What does returned games have to do with anything. I loved Red Dead Redemption doesn't mean I have to keep it around once I have gotten all of my enjoyment out of it. Their is no reason to play these games again other than being a completionist or nostalgia.

  • @DoubleTTB22 (yes my point of view is spread over 3 previous messages) Now this might be a lil bit of a shock for you. but 'back in the day' you never saw dozens of used copies of MGS 2, you saw a lot *Only* after MGS 3 was released -they had trade-in promotions, like we have now- and MGS2 Substance was & still is a very rare game to find on the PS2, traded or new. i just said about choosing my words carefully lol, if your not gonna appreciate a said game, then why should you play it?

  • @DoubleTTB22 lol but i like what you said, and you couldnt have put it any better "But you can never use the internet as a basis for the norm. Their are mostly just people that don't actually express any opinion other than one extreme to the other." exactly lol, but its funny how a "trusted source" is in itself an oxy-moron. lol i dont know if you remember when Activision asked their fans what 'improvements' should go into MW2's gameplay/multiplayer ... see how that turned out? lol

  • @ElsLunchBox At least not major reasons to play again.

  • @DoubleTTB22 (im not gonna even get into how 'gamers' these days dont play games like they used to, thats something all together). I have no cold hard bias throwing out there. ive just stated pure unadulterated facts. Gamers on the PS consoles have had a greater appreciation, love and understanding for the MGS franchise, X-box gamers, havent showed anywhere close to that kind of appreciation. -thats why during the buzz of MGS4 going 360, it never did, not after substance-

  • @ElsLunchBox It is a game. Appreciation doesn't mean collect dust as I play other games. Just because PS gamers like cover art more than a little extra money doesn't mean everyone else does. I understand loving a game that much but just because the majority don't have it ontheir top ten list, and get rid of it after they played it. doesn't mean anything. It isn't like you are supposed to normally just keep playing the same content for that long.

  • @ElsLunchBox I do keep games around but I know I will eventually get rid of them. Even just recently, I loved Fallout 3 and still had it up until New Vegas came out and I contemplated getting rid of it. I kept it for a while thinking I would play it again out of nostalgia. But I was done with the game. I doubt I learned my lesson though.

  • @DoubleTTB22 ok your gonna have to make me burst your bubble? ok fine(im gonna offend a lot of you, i apologize). First off gaming now a days, aint what it used to be. Graphical prowess & online multiplayer help to distract the overall downgrade of gaming now. "the art" that is gaming is now no more than any other money grabbing cash industry. When you have gaming sequels coming out within a year of eachother, you have DLC & update downloads fixing glitches, gaming quality takes a swan dive...

  • @DoubleTTB22 And now, you have the games being pumped out faster, with less care and attention done to the 'major franchises' you have companies do gamer-testing down to a minumum compared to the PS2/X-box/Gamecube era. Extra content is now downloaded for an extra fee. This used to be installed on the disc as part of a hidden secret you had to work to achieve & then be proud of and enjoy. Games took longer to come out so there was more to enjoy & more time for you to enjoy it till the next title

  • @ElsLunchBox Personally I dislike the emphasis put on graphics and applaud the When its finished philosophy of Valve as opposed to we will just make the deadline and then maybe fix our bugs later. The emphasis on slightly repetitive multiplayer and big moments over a game with a great story that is lengthy Is my major gripe with COD ( otherwise known as the biggest gaming franchise in America). Their is nothing wrong with extra DLC.

  • @ElsLunchBox The speed of gaming today isn't something I really enjoy. Everything is rushed out in October and November for the Christmas rush. However Gaming still retains the one thing it really is. A fun escape from the real world. Great games are still made, major title or otherwise.

Now I will bask in the glory of Skyrim. What no I can't. Damn! There is always tomorrow I suppose.

  • @DoubleTTB22 no of course theres nothing wrong with paying for stuff you used to already have in games... buddy just enjoy what you got. obviously my comments werent meant for you, enjoy things how you will

  • @ElsLunchBox What DLC are you talking about. You mean like the dumb new outfits and weapons type right.

  • @DoubleTTB22 look, you just talked about people going on the internet as a form of bias. im going to address everything you say & if you dont like it nor understand it, tough cookies. Stop generalizing games you, yourself have not gone through (the more you keep doing this, your helping to prove the x-box gamer image/motif even more). **Majority** of games come out faster, have less polish & content & enjoyed less (DLC as in entire campaings/stories, playable characters, secret levels)

  • @ElsLunchBox That doesn't even make sense. Stop acting like everything was better in the good old days. You must be blinded by nostalgia. You can't get extra campaigns if you can already unlock them. Have you ever played any DLC. When do you unlock completely new content that lasts 4-6 hours just on a dry run. Generalizing what. Sayin everything wasn't great or that RPG's are about the same average length. What is the problem with that.

  • @DoubleTTB22 this is the last comment im gonna say to you, Now a days there arent any extra campaigns you unlock They are all DLC! -are you really that dumb or do you only play your favorite two games, ohh thats right you trade everything away- DLC lasting real Length? hmm L4D, L4D2, Fallout 3, Fallout New Vegas -im sure- Dragon Age Origins, Elderscrolls 4, Dead Island -yet to be seen- Dead Rising 2 etc. Just to name recent releases. Games are different, gamers are different deal with it!

  • @ElsLunchBox Let me explain this to your clearly nutrients deprived brain. i said you can't unlock Extra campaigns in older games. It is just part of the game that they made you do something else for. If you want something Extra that means it is separate and new. completely different. That is a DLC.

  • @DoubleTTB22 hey fuck tard, campaigns, levels, stories, modes change the word around the same message applies. Moron, do i seriously need to spend 2 hours, typing out previous titles which let you play the game differently if you beat it a certian way, get a specific unlockable or beat it quickly etc. Do i really have to spell out to you the hidden things developers (again "levels, stories, campaigns, modes") put already in the games of past and now you have to buy them. Do you understand this?

  • @ElsLunchBox Playing the game over differently is really just an easter egg. That isn't it. A level is one thing. Campaign is completely different. Basically you are talking about the more elaborate easter eggs in games. It isn't a DLC. those things have gone missing, which is bad, but it has nothing to do with a DLC. They haven't been replaced. They have been forgotten due to deadlines. This goes back to how you don't understand that I mostly agree with you

  • @DoubleTTB22 so your going to acknowledge something and say "but no... thats something else (because thats what i want to consider it)" fucking grow up

  • @ElsLunchBox So a big easter egg and a DLC are the same. Despite the length and content difference favoring DLC. sorry but really even though you consider them the same you still lose.

They are still different however and I would love to have elaborate easter eggs.

  • @ElsLunchBox Basically your argument is you used to get less extra content for free. So what. sorry if our easter eggs aren't up to par I will just continue to play the actual game

  • @DoubleTTB22 i would ask if you've played ___ game, beaten it & obtained ___ feature/content but obviously you havent. go enjoy yourself idiot.

  • @ElsLunchBox SO basically your only argument is to insult me and say that I have never done something. It isn't like you can unlock anything close to an entire DLC campaign today. Even when you can it is a rarity. Things like weapons, new armor, and playable characters you could unlock. But and actual major DLC isn't just their.

  • @ElsLunchBox I think you really just want a challenge to get something really cool instead of just gamer points.

  • @DoubleTTB22 Yes im going to insult your intelligence, your still the perfect poster boy of x-box gamers. you obviously cant see that what we have as DLC is the same equivelent as hidden secrets, easter eggs, bonuses. Resident Evil 2 (on the PS1) & Code Veronica X on the PS2 had a secret* unlockable* completely seperate* FPS survival shooter game, complete with new weapons and characters -some not in the game at all- the Resident Evil 4 has unlockable Mercenaries mode #5 same thing is DLC....

  • @DoubleTTB22 Metal Gear Solid games of past, unlockable costumes & items, NOW this IS DLC material. Final Fantasy games, unlockable & usable characters, getting a secret item lets you unlock a previously hidden room, now this IS DLC material, look up some games DLC. Prince of Persia the sands of time, a certian task in a level lets you unlock the ENTIRE original Prince of Persia Game. Tekken 5, specific tasks allow you to unlock full arcade games, now it would be a bonus in DLC.

  • @ElsLunchBox true that brother they're all money whores

  • @xMidnightGamer its truth man, (games are still entertainment but as they get "better" they are also being more expensive with the content provided to gamers, its a smart & greedy business stradegy that works on nearly all newer gamers without them thinking about it or even knowing better) "Gamers today" provide companies ability to expploit more money from their gamers, hense the remakes, IF you have the original game, why bust another $40-$60 on a remake collection? its shiny??

  • @ElsLunchBox i bought it because im a big mgs fan but i don't have my ps2 or any of my original games, but take saints row 3 a really short game for £40 and they bring out dlc that would have already been in the game but they just kept it for the marketplace quite sad

  • @xMidnightGamer Yeah there ya go, same thing. (like i said, IF you got the original games of whats being re-released, its just the same idea of getting every dollar out of people who would do it). But what can ya do, such is the business now.
