Now adays it would be great challenge and a great responsibility for those hollywood crap makers to give bring back He-Man with all due respect, not like that Conan abomination. This theme should be a template for the movie. If any cinematic aspect doesn't fit this music- that means it's wrong. I've got chills, shrivers up and down my spine, and tear in my eye. Love it.
OH! the hit me in the heart when they begun to play SHE-RA's theme. It is absolutely fantastic and very similar to the original and it is so uplifting. I like her theme more the He-man's. but indeed , i cant imagine what an atmoshpere would this music made if it would be played in a big hall with thousands of people!Love and Light from Serbia
This is the first time I have ever responded to a youtube video, and all I can say is Bravo Sir, Bravo. Your job is done. Excellent. And I love the idea of it being the worlds anthem
I've found a channel on my tv that still showing He-man and She-Ra. I like both of these shows but I love She-Ra more and when He-man is in a She-Ra episode...it's just a down right awesome episode. Also great work on the video.
The only thing I can think of is that the orchestral compositions you did are meant to be played throughout the earth and into the universe. Totally epic, powerful and most of all astounding.
The original versions of these theme pieces are basically early 80's disco music and therefore don't go over too well with listeners today, but they had very good melodies. As long as a piece of music has a good melody, it will work very well in a classical composition.
Impressive. I knew the He-Man theme naturally lent itself to the heroic treatment, but I never imagined the She-Ra theme could work that well. I guess this once again proves that a melody can be whatever you want it to be as long as you know how to treat it.
@MerryMarvelite I don't think Skeletor & Hordak command that many troops. I suspect King Hiss & his legion of brainless snake-men behind this. Bastards.
Skeletor and Hordak respectively have their usual trusted henchman, which aren't that many, but they both also command huge numbers of robot troops as well as commoners who fight for them simply because they don't want their beloved village destroyed.
@logik316 Funny thing about the Horde troops; some were robots and some were men in armor, and I could never figure out how anybody knew which was which.
I thought all the Horde troops were robots, except for the officers. Could be wrong, though, since I do remember He-Man once taking one down and putting it's armor/shell on as a disguise, and it's unlikely it would have fit on him if it was built as part of a robot (his blonde hair hanging out from under the helmet gave him away, though).
@logik316 Uncharacteristically careless of him! That sounds likely, though, the officers being alive. I just remember a bunch of them sitting around a table in a village pub one time, ready to tuck into some pie.
@logik316 I remember that episode! He-Man had to sneak into a Hordak base I think using a Horde suit of armour. I remember seeing his hair sticking out and thinking how is he going to sneak past anyone with that so obvious? Hordak was using some bubble machine to drain the life energy out of the village folk I think---that was why He-Man had to sneak in.
I is absolutely the best! Thanks for posting this. I find myself humming this medley all day long. The 80's were definitely the time to grow up! He-Man and She-Ra were so frickin' awesome!
Is it just me or does the melody of Shera's theme at 2:20 sound a lot like an Peruvian folk song? I can't put my finger on it, but it might be Carnavalito Humahuaqueno?
Can anyone help out with this? It's something the band "Anchient Winds" or "Markahuasi" made a recording of. Ugh, this is killing me, but I know there is a melodic identicalness going on there.
When i grew up under the 80:s this cartoon was my favorite! And here i am again 33 yrs old.... Its still my favorite, im gonna show this to my little girl (shes 1,5)
Awesome orchestrations! Beautifully done. I hope the movie comes out (it's been having trouble from the get-go as I'm sure you already know) and is worth all the wait.
This one is good, but could you try to work in a Star Wars-like motiff? Like doing transitions between the other BGM the series had, like Snake Mountain or the music they used for when they travelled on the attack-trac.
Masters of the universe had some very awesome music, I know the word is overused nowadays but it was epic.
That sounded great! Now if you could get it played by the London Philharmonic, or any of the great orchestras, that would be TRULY amazing! Wow, wow...and WOW again!
@TheUrbanWolf , Yes I did mean Eternia. I am sorry about that i was getting in a huff at how its so simple to make a great movie and they keep wanting to muff it up and put it on earth. LOL.

Not bad at all. Just a suggestion if you plan on reworking this. Maybe towards the end of the piece you should try alternating between themes, you know a bit of He-man, then She-ra, and back again. I kept expecting you to do just that towards the end because it seems like the logical way for the piece to progress.

Man I heard that the Grayskull movie is going to take a darker approach to He-Man kinda like Batman Begins a new take on it. If so it's going to be kick ass.
