@OnYouGlenn no, , in my case, not sad to the point of needing therapy/anti-depressants. still, its unfortunate. that being said, i'd never diminish the skill these guys displayed esp. on early albums like 'psycho surgery'. or their commitments to certain things like christianity, freakin' sweet thrash, animal rights, veganism, etc. even if i disagree w/them. it is a fantastic album all in all, honestly i wish more people could have heard it. in fact, its in my top 10 faves for sure.
there's nothing about these songs to bash... the musicianship is AMAZing. the fact that these these guys are christians is just a sad fact outside of the music.
@lackthrowofficial "the fact that these guys are christians is just a sad fact .." Sad fact? LOL!! It makes you "sad" that someone believes in Christ? Are you sad to the point of needing therapy? Maybe an anti-depressant?
Man this brings back memories. Bought this cassette the day it came out. Haven't heard it in years due to no player! Tourniquet lost something with their release of Vanishing Lessons. This here is good stuff.
Respond to this video... In fact, I have, all of Saviour machines, Living Sacerfice, Tourniquet, Disciples, Newsboys, Casting Crowns, Mercy Me, and a few others. For I-Tunes, MP3. I got them, from I-Tunes, and Amazon MP3
@nickaaaaaa94 you seem like a very angry person, I'm not going to sink to your kind by laughing about the fact that you can't spell Christian : ) But thats OK, I will pray you find God and your pain will go away. GET SAVED MA FRIEND, trust me, it's worth it. God will never let you down thats a promise!!
Give them props...I dare any of you to try and spread a good message in a genre of music that is made up of doom. The talent is what you should appreciate. Christian or not.
I always thought I was too old to enjoy heavy metal (I'm 49). But Tourniquet quite simply was one of the most underrated bands of the 90's. I've always loved their music and always will. Guy Ritter was the most original vocalist I've ever heard of. He's more original than Rob Halford (one of the best voices in metal).
A little message to Ted Kirkpatrick: Ted get the old gang back together and record some new stuff! Please!!!!!
This album is so fucking UNDERATED!! This is one of the most kick ass songs of all time! It's a shame they didn't get as big as Stryper. This song is insane!!!
@metaltildeath4eva Well think about the time frame, Stryper hit the scene when glam metal was big, Tourniquet came along right at the end of the first thrash movement and didn't really get noticed until grunge was really popular so the timing for them was just really bad.
@Nothingineternity Yeah...you're right. I just felt bad for them. Because they were waaay more superior music wise, than a lot of bands in the scene. In my opinion one of the greatest in Thrash Ever!!
@BigBozSicenunow whats wrong with it? i dont have i prob with it.. i rock out to some lamb of god and children of bodom and then pop in some tourniquet all the time... metal is metal... simple as that.. its about being heavy and agressive. tourniquet does an amazing job at both.
@BigBozSicenunow You are very ignorant to anything in the metal scene I can see. Ted Kirkpatrick of Tourniquet is considered one of the best drummers in the world. The band has been considered groundbreaking in both Christian and secular scenes since they started all the way up to when Aaron left. Even then Marty Freedman (formerly of Megadeath) helped them release their "When Moth and Rust Destroy" album. And tourniquet still makes their albums. Their most recent original release was in 2003
@BigBozSicenunow are you kidding me? hah dude youd be suprised. check out some christian metal bands and listen to them for the music, not the message, and go into it with a good attitude..youll be surprisedddd. i download new christian metal everydayyy and they're all super good ha
This is up there with tool IMO, I am awestruck.
