I like this version more than any other version because the singer's voice has an authentic 30's sound.

I grew up with the original cast also and love it. To me, this musical represents Broadway's last finest hour - when it was still a firmly New York phenomenon. Seems as if Jay-Z agrees. Viva original cast.

@123balletstar if you had bothered to read the title or description you would know that it's the orginal broadway cast. i do like the 1982 and 1999 versions but this is the one that started it all and it is my favorite. Without this your movie versions would never exist. I for one think that live theatre is where the talent is and I can't understand why anyone could think that this sucks.
