On a more serious note, I don't think this phone will fare well in Japan. If it doesn't even have the basic features even flip phones have, it will not do well. Either way, one can easily get by with all the features that Japanese get on their basic phones.

The main problem is the shove their other services down your throat with this phone. So you'd better enjoy IE browser and Bing search engine, because this is what you'll be forced to used.
