  • So, on the very early JLD HK-91 Clones with the soft trunnion issue, do you have any idea how many rounds it took to lose X amount of bolt gap for excess wear due to soft material?

  • @steve001968 Sorry, I have no idea on the JLD clones but you may try over at military fiream dot com, all one word. They may have the answers you are looking for, they are a very helpful bunch.

  • @steve001968 Thanks

  • excellent video thank you for taking the time to assemble this demonstration of how the roller system works in HK style rifles.

  • Thanks for the video. You cleared up a lot of quistions i've had about HK bolt gap. I have a question though. Are there any specs for head spacing? Can theholt face be right up against the chamber with no problems?

  • Very Good

  • that was by far the best and clearest explination of hk bolt gap i have ever seen.. do a series on how to build a g3 from a flat and kit to finish! :)

  • sovietmediacontrol, that is a question that I can not answer, sorry. Go on over to military firearm dot com and ask over there, there is a lot to be learned from them.

    They're good helpful people there.

  • Ok, when the bolt head is locked into the carrier and it's all locked up, should the rollers have wobble in them? I have replaced the head with a BRAND NEW one, brand new +4 rollers and have replaced the locking piece. The locking piece was used (from Apex.com) because i have discovered NEW ones don't exist! Anyhow, outside of the gun but haed & carriers locked together i STILL have ZERO gap & the NEW rollers have about .12" (1/8") of wobble EACH. Should there be no wobble at all?

  • Excellent video and excellent demonstration!

  • Hey folks, go over to military firearm dot com for more info than I can pass on here, there is a world of help over there. This video is actually a video I rescued from the old cetme rifles site that was lost to hackers.

  • @762rules i have a question. i have a cetme from century arms. it is difficult to cock the rifle using the charging handle. i literally have to smack the charging handle several times to get it loose. is this normal for this rifle or is there something wrong. can you advise.

  • Thanks so much for that info and vid...You can read only so much without actually seeing it all come together...Going to a gun show this weekend...Gonna look for a CETME...Besides bringing my feeler gauges checking for bolt gap what else should i look for?

  • Thank you for actually posting a quality video and explanation!

  • If you made a DVD of all your video's and Charged $20 each..... I would pay for them.

I appreciate these videos. They have helped big time!

  • My CETME seems to want to fire 1 or 2 rounds then charging handle mechanism does'nt want to slide back and chamber another round. Other than that, It was a very smooth functioning rifle and was On-Target everytime and that was just with iron sights. Also, how do I clean the flutes???

  • Where can I get rollers at?

  • sorry it's not bolt hes it's Bolt head will have to be opend up just a bit to fir the +8 rollers...iv been doing the Hk roller lock weapons for 25 years now.. there is the right way wrong way..and the back yard try to make it work way..lets stick with the FIRST ONE..the right way...(My dad)

  • sorry the right way to do this is with new rollers +2 8.2mm

and +4 = 8.4mm if you add +4 and a new locking piece and can not get the right bolt gap. then ther is on more custom made rollers +6 and + 8

8.6mm and 8.8mm the bolt hes will have to be opend up just a tad to install the +8

and at $100 a set for the +6's and +8's it's spendy..but back to the standard =2 and +4's. if this will not fix you Gun..then it's time for a new Trun to be installed..or a new bbl (not used)

  • Where can I get a +6 or a +8 rollers? I been searching but couldn't find where to get one

  • most of the Guns done By Cenry arms with the Cetme parts are ok.. some they grownd the back of the bolt head to get abolt gap..this is also wrong.. this Video shows how it works..but you do not repress a BBl in to make gap... the BBL pin and hole it go's it will be egg shaped by the time you try to do this.. he then says to turn the bbl so you can make a new hole ..lol... ok no we have to remove the front sight..and reset it...ya ok..go ahead and cut that off and start over with that also..

  • tell me how your going to get a bbl set back .009" inch and not have a prob with a bbl pin getting sloppy..the bbl pin holds it in place..setting the bbl over .010 and you will have to get under size rollers...and maby it would work...or dump the clones and get areal Hk..

  • YOU DO NOT SET THE BBL BACK!

    A NEW LOCKING PIECE OR

you get over size rollers +1 or +2

setting you bbl back is not the right way to repair missing gap!!!!

  • thank you for the info. why is it this guy talkin about adjustin the bbl to set the gap to .003 or .004? Is that proper way to do it?

  • do the CETME's wear down easily or quickly?

  • Sweet vid thank you i need to get on that...

  • That was a great video!!!

  • ok so if the barell is to far in its bad? or to far forward its bad huhuhuhu? you want it tight but, not so far that it blows back and will not be acurate! plus if its not locked your rollers will wear in about 20 rounds. the ptr has nothing on the cetme.look at the history on cetme! or century

  • So, how do you fix this problem?

  • Sir,

I have seen so much chatter online about cetme headspacing issues, but nothing that made it all "click".

Your tutorial made it crystal clear! So clear that I feel that I can explain it to others!

    Keep up the good work!

  • Very good information. Thank you for sacrificing that barrel and trunnion.

  • Thank you. That was a helpfull demostration.

  • thanx again

  • This video rocks, next do one to show how to make it full auto, full auto rocks.

  • sure, if you wanna go to jail...

  • Explain how thats gonna happen please? I think all law abiding citizens should own at least one machine gun, even you.

  • You cant own or manufacture an unregistered full auto weapon that was made after 1986....Felony and ten years in the slammer...you can own a registered full auto if ya want...thats not against the law....you just can't convert one....unless your an Class 3 manufacturer.

  • I already know that, Im not like these idiots on here, Im just telling these dopes ill own one if i want.

  • thank you sir,i want one. i was looking at the hk91 but it cost to much so im thinking of the Century Arms Cetme. i that what this is?

  • The Century Arms rifles are a crap-shoot for quality. Sometimes it's there, sometimes it isn't. Save yourself the headache and get a Vector Arms or PTR-91.

  • how long does it take to wear down?

  • Shunt311, I would have to say that it would take a few hundred thousands of rounds to

wear out. These things were designed for die-

    hard military use.

  • nice video bro, you should make a standard fieldstrip for cleaning/matienence of the cetme as well, very informative
