As for a Fan the Storyline is poor on first look, but at the hardest Mode there "Sideway-Letters" which explains a lot about the FF7-Universe (and the Chars in it).
At least it turns out a bit like "Beyond Good and Evil" (Book and Game^^), but I like the Thought of beeing a Entity like the Boss. Try the hardest mode, this game is getting better every Time you finish it and restart again.
@ajandclover it's a good buy if you're a fan of final fantasy vii, and its a fairly solid third person shooter but its mostly fan service, there are other games you will get more fun out of if you don't care about the characters already in this one. I can say having been a final fantasy fan for most of my adult life I really enjoyed it.

oh well i only 15 so i got tones of time to play them all = )
