I chased this day, but I was on the Kearney storm from the time it was west of Kearney to the tornado going through Kearney. Didnt dash south afterward to view this storm :( We were based in Salina too!

I agree yet I disagree.....tornadoes are much more violent and are in the top 5 casues of death each year...yet your more likely to see lightning than you are a tornado,im either way on this one.

More people get struck by lightning then they do tornadoes. Believe me that I've seen some real close strikes to the ground when it comes to lightning.

The tornado you can react to if it hits in an area when it is visible. Lightning on the other hand is brief and it strikes without warning. More people are killed by lightning then tornadoes. You can predict a tornado but you can't predict lightning. Lightning is even more mysterious then tornadoes which now we are better understanding.

I loved the time-lapse part, it really enhanced the process the developing storm clouds underwent and the various forms they took over time. I was also impressed by the awesome sight of the multiple vortexes forming and dissolving. Keep it up!!
